Well, another story with Big Boss? Snake isn't really dead after all? Oh nooooooes. I wouldn't mind a brand new character in the series. Like Johnny Akiba!!! hehe Fighting bowel moments by day, getting beaten by Meryl at night.

judging from big boss' appearance maybe this might be set when he meets solid snake? I mean Operation Intrude N313 can't have been the only mission they both had a hand in.

First of all, i KNEW they were going to make another MGS game, and as long as it doesn't contradict the story or is an actual sequel to MGS4 (which in my opinion, brings the most perfect ending this series could ever EVER have), i'm fine with whatever that genius of a creator can come up o3o
And well, i see a Peace Walker-like tank, an artwork of Solid Snake, a hound, and a character in both artwork and game model...who, in my opinion, doesn't look much like Big Boss but rather as Liquid Snake (i've NEVER seen Big Boss with a ponytail...and as of the eyepatch, maybe he's just injured, and you know Kojima loves to throw random things to mess up with fans, like Raiden's mask in MGS3).
So what i can say about this? A story that deals with the origins of Solid Snake and Liquid Snake o3o Maybe it has to do with whatever story Liquid said about the middle east?

Also, a silly deep wish of mine has been to see a battle between Solid Snake and Big Boss in HD form (or at least, something more than 2D sprites and 5 lines of text). I doubt Kojima will ever decide to remake Metal Gear, he has been constantly against it, but if this game is to include Solid Snake and Big Boss, maybe that'll be the closest i'll get to seeing that. And if Solid Snake is currently under training by Big Boss or something, then i'm happy enough with having sparring matches/tutorials that show such battle D: lol

now that you mention it liquid did work for the SIS in Iraq, it could be a backstory for him, the brown hair colour would mean this was before he got his hair bleached from too much sun, or maybe how FOXHOUND was formed? Or even about its early days.

That's what I mean. Metal Gear has a certain hackneyed naming sense, but Diamond Dogs is a downright parody of it.

Maybe its about how FOX became FOXHOUND? I recall them still being referred to as FOX when Gene was in charge.

At the end of Portable Ops you can see paperwork that calls Big Boss's unit FOXHOUND. Yeah, i'm already very excited and content to hear about this game 83 So, it's going to be set after the events of Peace Walker, and le Pacifica Ocean is alive, held captive by Cipher (XOF for some reason) and targetted by Big Boss (FOX...for some reason). It's quite confusing, this whole "Snake is back on FOX"...by the end of Peace Walker, Naked Snake had already accepted the title of Big Boss and with good reason (finally getting over The Boss), and i can't see any reason why he would go back to be called "Snake", except that maybe Kojima just can't accept seeing a Game Over screen that doesn't yell out "SNAAAAAKEEEEEEEE", not after MGS2 D: And as of the FOX part, i suppose it actually refers to the fact that we have a new MGS game on this new "FOX Engine" thingy, not that Big Boss is actually back to the Force Operation X that belonged to Zero D8 And as of the FOX emblem thingy on his shoulder, well, MSF already used the FOX logo all over and there's not a great deep meaning to it, just Big Boss' fetish or something, and i believe the suit Big Boss has in that trailer also has the MSF logo on the other arm...but of course they'd just focus on the FOX one and barely show the other one to mess with your head and all -3- lol
The XOF probably just means that Cipher is opposing Big Boss (who is using the FOX emblem all over). And as of the freaky bald dude...my only guess is that he's Cipher himself, better known as Zero. And i would actually love it if he's really Zero. We know what became of Zero after Snake Eater and all the things he did...but until now, we haven't actually seen Zero himself, or actually seeing how The Patriots went from a nice and happy special forces unit to a small group of greedy and powerful bastards that literally took over the entire world. It would be AWESOME to see the Zero that kept fighting Big Boss all these years, the Zero that led the strongest and most evil organization ever created. And sure, he looks a little too ugly to be the Zero we knew, and also quite different from the brain-dead Zero we see in MGS4...but well, Big Boss was toasted and left almost as bad as Anakin Skywalker, and in MGS4 he looked all healthy and complete and even somewhat younger than his appearance in this game (and sure, there's an explanation for that...but so there could also be an explanation for Zero's appearance, assuming he is the creepy bald guy). And if he's not Zero, then he's definetly someone with a very high rank among Cipher, who can't wait to snoop around Mother Base and look for Big Boss' undies D:

Remember, Zero had a large Scar on the left side of his face, look at the trailer and the pic above, even if he were burned some traces of it should still be noticeable.

Hmmm ಠ3ಠ
You know, you could be completely right in this. The entire suit resembles Zadornov's, though one could still debate that it's just a suit and a coat...very common with several MGS dudes, but by his overall appearence it's much more likely that he is Zadornov rather than Zero.
And sure, we saw him die by the hands (or gun) of Big Boss, but well, it's not like they had plenty of time to make sure he was dead, given Pacifica's revelation right away, and then there was no mention of him anymore...Big Boss used his hand as a lighter but that's it. Plus "death" in the MGS series is sometimes just temporal and not the end of the character. And given Zadornov's EXTREME escaping skills, i wouldn't be surprised if he escaped from hell itself with just a few burns D8 lol
Well, not really, but still...he does look like Zadornov, and though he could still be anyone else, even an entirely new character, i'd go with the Zadornov theory now.
And i still would love to see Zero in this game anyways, for all reasons i mentioned above D:

I personally think Paz might be dead though, it would be unwise of Cipher to keep her alive, although I remember Paz mentioning that failing them will land her a fate worse than death, since XOF seems to be on the move with invading mother base I assume they had squeezed Paz dry of any info and have no use for her, on another note concerning the XOF leader; he was involved in an interrogation of someone Chico knew,  I think he's Ocelot, the soldiers in the game might not be american due to them using SAR 80s.
