His attempt to change the topic was a breath of fresh air, and Mariah quickly ran with it, nodding in reply. "You did more than the King did, Alex. You should be proud of yourself," she said as she slowly dropped his hand. He seemed to be calming down now, and she didn't want to seem like it was for her own comfort that she held onto him either. Especially not when he was asking about her looking upset again. "I'm fine. Like I said earlier, I just didn't sleep well last night. That's why I didn't show up for the call, by the way. Being anything but your best only makes situations like that worse. I didn't want to show up and end up getting in the way, and besides. My powers are not exactly suited for situations like that, as yours and X-Zepher's are."

Alex: Oh okay as long as your feeling better that's fine then ( he smiles at her) how about we finish that tour and go grab something to eat yeah? ( the two continue their tour from earlier as he grabs her hand and they walk off) So anything really interesting around this part of town?

"Nothing too exciting on any kind of personal level, but there is a lot of activity here from the rogues, so it probably wouldn't hurt to pay a little closer of attention as we walk. It's a tad annoying to be stuck here if they decide to strike, after all." "You might find some good locations to ambush any runners, if you look hard enough."

She pointed out a few of the more interesting locations such as another large bank and a few of the more upscale shops that the town had as they continued walking. When there was nothing else that she found important enough to mention, she stopped and looked toward Alex, a content smile lighting her lips. They had finally covered the entire town, so he should know more than enough to be alright for the games. "Is that enough of a tour for you, Mr. Cross, or do you have any questions that you want to ask?"

Alex: we're back to mr. Cross again miri? ( after he makes mental notes of the area he laughs lightly as he looks at her) no I think I got everything I needed thanks again by the way for the tour what do you say we to grab something to eat its about an appropriate time of I would say so myself ( he smiles at her) I mean if your no hungry we can go do somethin else

"I don't see why you don't like it. I think it's rather cute," she teased. "But I don't mind joining you since you asked. Just lead the way to wherever you want to go, and I'll gladly follow. As far as I'm aware of right now, I can be yours for the entire day if you'd wish it, Alex..." He last sentence remained in a somewhat teasing tone, but it was evident that she was serious as well. "And if you don't, there's no harm done there either. All you have to do is say so."

"I wonder what that was that he was thinking of earlier... It was so awful... Did he think of it because he saw my own- No, he couldn't have..." she let the thought go and continued to let Alex lead the way

Alex: it's not like I don't like it I'm just not used to being called that ( Alex thought I over her offer briefly as he looks her in the eyes) well than if your mine for the rest of day I'd like that a lot actually ( he smiles at her) I do say I'm the luckies guy in the world today so then what are you feeling like? I can eat anything right about now

Mariah smiled at his comments, squeezing his hand gently. "If I didn't know any better, Alex, I would say that you're starting to fall for me just as fast as I may or may not be for you. It's a little cute, if I do say so myself. I do have to wonder what about my company makes you feel so lucky, however. I can't think of anything I've done so far that's interesting enough that it would make you feel that way." They began walking toward the majority of the town's restaurants before she spoke again. "I like surprises, by the way, so why don't you pick and I'll follow. I trust your judgement so far, so I don't mind following you for now."

Alex: who knows maybe how about I surprise you with that as well hmm allright then how about here ( the two walk into a Italian restaurant and as they sit down their Brought menus) to answer your earlier question what gentleman wouldn't be happy spending his day with a lovely woman like your self but another way of explaining it would can't I just simply enjoy your company at the chance that I like you eh?

After Evan gets home and changes into casual clothes, he goes back to the bar from yesterday. It's his usual spot to just relax and cool down after a long day. The bartender waves as Evan walks in. His voice is loud and laid-back, it rings through the bar like an alarm. "So Evan, what will you be drinking off today?" Evan smiles and closes his eyes a little longer than just a blink. "Flames and the betrayal of a distant relative." Speaking in riddles helped him answer questions without lying to friends, the normal people think of it as just a way of being cute and joking around. "You really never change, I like that. I'll let you have the first drink free." Evan thanks him with a nod and sits down. "Alright take a guess at what I want." Evan and the bartender play a game before Evan orders, the bartender guesses what Evan wants and if he gets it right Evan pays for a round of drinks for everyone in the bar. If he gets it wrong Evan drinks free, although since it's already free this one is just a warm up round. "Whisky?" Evan shakes his head. "Nope, I'll have Rum and Coke." Evan sits back pleased with his first victory of the night. The drink is poured quickly and served to Evan, the bartender is waiting for the next round.

Initially, Mariah felt herself hold her breath at his response. She managed not to gasp, which was a plus, so she played it off with a smile. "So I was right, and you are starting to fall for me? Who would have ever guessed that my sense of interest in you would become so contagious, and so rapidly too... You wouldn't be interested in me just because of what I know, and what I could tell you, now would you? Because I would hate to know that the only reason you're being so kind to me is to essentially use me to get what it is you seek most," she asked with mock disappointment. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that that had ever happened to her, but yet she found herself silently hoping that he wouldn't say 'yes', even as a joke. Why would she care so much even if he did, she wondered, careful to keep the thoughts from passing between them.

Alex: ( he sets the menu down as he looks at her straight in the eyes) what kinda person do you take me for? You don't honestly believe I'd do all this of I just wanted information like I said has it occurred to
You that maybe I like you? I'm not the kind of guy who woul go through al this trouble of I was just after information trust me when i say your information doesn't matter to me in the slightest although Miri youhero matter to me- (he cuts himself off out of embarrassment) sorry was that too much and maybe im the lucky one if your interest has become quite contagious but I still don't get how you could get that impression of me maybe I just look shady? ( he laughs softly as he picks up his menu again)

Eva thanked Zetman and after snapping a picture of his ambulance, ran over to her motor scooter to beat the ambulance there. or if not, to at least visit her beloved. An ambulance with a hero in it, however, would never lose a race to anyone unless their were shortcuts. Even still by the time Eva had reached the hospital, the ambulance had already come and left and X-Zepher was in a hospital bed.

After some snooping Eva found herself in his room. "Zephie are you in here?" she quickly ran up to be at his side. "Oh it's you again, listen girl I-" Eva embraced the wounded X-Zepher and pulled out her phone. "Oh my god I saw you today and-and you were awesome!" She said taking a picture of him. "Would you put that damn thing away? I don't want you in here!" She ignored him as she clacked away on her phone, uploading the photos to her blog as she updated it simultaneously. "It's okay if you're shy Zephie, I think it's cute." X-Zepher reached for the emergency button and Eva gently placed her hand on his. "What's the matter sweetie? Are you hungry? I brought us some sandwiches." She reached in her bag and pulled out two sandwiches and opened up the one she presumably made for X-Zepher. "Now open up so I can feed you~" Eva said in a sing-song voice. X-Zepher slammed his fist against the Emergency button and looked at his intruder. "Listen, you're creeping me out. Leave now kid." Eva re-sealed the sandwich and placed it on his stand, "Okay then, I'll let you rest, it was nice seeing you again." Eva said with a smile as she left the room, cellphone in hand and her own lunch packed away safely.

Evan finishes his drink, then holds up the glass. "Take you best guess." The bartender takes the glass. "Wine?" Evan shakes his head. "Nope sorry, I want a regular beer." The bartender places a full mug of beer down on the counter. "Well we both know you get more predictable the drunker you get." Evan drinks half the glass a few moments after it's placed down. "Then I'll get as plastered as I can." The crowd around them looks pleased at Evan's remark. "Hey you guys must really like free drinks." Evan finishes the beer and passes the mug back to the bartender. "Go." "Brandy." Evan tilts his head to the side. "No, but I should definitely have that later. I wanna get drunk quickly, give me schnapps" The drink is delivered and Evan drinks a little at a time. Evan is smiling as he drinks and he's swaying back and forth in his seat. "Looks like I'm going undefeated so far." Evan raises his glass to his lips and drinks the rest.

"Easy tiger, I was just teasing," she said with a soothing tone as she reached across the table, taking his hand once more. She got his attention and met his gaze, hoping that he saw how genuine she truly felt right now. She honestly felt bad that he took her a little more seriously than she had planned, and hoped that what she would say next would make up for it. "And before you can start, no, you don't look shady. I just thought I would have a little fun with you is all. Maybe see how you really felt, and sure enough I did... And I'm flattered to know that you feel that way about me, Alex. I truly am. I hope that you know that I'm genuinely interested in you for more than just curiosity's sake, as I claimed yesterday, as well."

Alex: ( he looks at her in the eyes) well than now that I know that what do you say we get started on the food though I am curious though what this means for us now? So she genuinely like mes huh?...why do I feel so happy right now...whatever
I believe this would be the time I ask you out on a proper date but it feels like it allready is one ( he smiles at her with his usually casual smile)

"He seems so happy now... As long as Damian doesn't interfere, maybe things can stay this way and he won't have to look at me the way he just did ever again... But if Damian knows about this, he'll undoubtedly try to come between it. That's just how he is... I'll have to just stay guarded when he could be around, and keep my eyes open for him when I'm not sure..."

"I almost feel like we've been on several proper dates already, don't you? A ball, a tour of the city, and now this. You certainly do know how to charm a woman, Alex. Perhaps I should go back to calling you Romeo after all," she said as she took her hand back. She crossed them on her lap and fiddled with the table cloth to keep her focused on their surroundings. "At least he's not here. Yet."

Alex: what can I say I do know a thing or two about how to treat the woman I care about ( he laughs jokingly) I actually don't really know much about this kind of stuff so I apologize in advance if I seem Abit different at times ( he laughs at her joke) well I don't see why not after all I am the Romeo who charmed you aren't I? ( he looks at her as he notices the table cloth) are you nervous?

"Perhaps," she replied without a second thought, a small smirk caressing her lips. "It's not every day I meet someone who's so adept at sweeping me off my feet, and so attractive at the same time." She laughed it off and dropped the table cloth's edge, although it basically cut her mental focus in half. It was hard to focus on a physical conversation and the mental conversations of several others around her at one time without some sort of grounding movement. She would just have to make due and pray that things turned out in her favor. "If you're determined to be my Romeo, however, let's make sure to alter the ending just a touch," she teased with another small smirk.

Alex: well than I didn't know I was that skilled at it that's Certaintly flattering to hear coming from you and about the ending ( he laughs jokingly) no Need to worry I'm goin to become king remember as well I promise our ending will be different the theirs ( after talking for awhile the two order their food and engage in a nice evening along with witty banter back and forth as well as the two growing Abit Closer together as they laugh and smile together and once they finish eating) so anywhere you want to go now? Or should I just surprise you ?

A smile lit her face as he spoke after dinner. "You're getting to know me awfully well. Maybe even a little too well for what time we've spent together. Perhaps I should keep you out of my mind a little bit just to make sure you're not also a secret telepath," she said with a quieted tone and a wink. "I can't have you knowing all of my secrets and such in just two days, now can I? That doesn't make for a fun relationship."

A familiar psychic presence struck her like a baseball bat to the side of the head moments after they had paid, and she instinctively glanced around the room to search for the matching face. She played it off as just being curious of her surroundings if Alex was watching, as she only moved her eyes, but her full attention fell onto searching for the face. She found it in a corner table seconds later, and she received another heavy hit inside her mind that actually caused her to wince slightly. She was starting to get a headache. This wasn't good.

"I'm getting to be a little jealous, my sweet. Should I come over and suggest a nice little gentleman's brawl? Or perhaps test his knowledge of you by seeing if he knows what you truly seek?" A male's cackle of laughter entered her head, making the headache seem to grow that much worse.

"Please stop it. I promise you that nothing I'm doing with affect you getting what you want from me in the end. Our deal will remain intact, and I will deliver on my end so long as you will. Just don't ruin this for me, please..." she pleaded, all thoughts of being on a 'date' forgotten. Again the laughter echoed in her mind, leaving her feeling close to nauseous. The psychic pressure was overwhelming, but vanished in a split second, leaving her with a headache and with her breathing a little heavier, but otherwise unharmed. At least there was that.
