E3 2012
So now that E3 has begun with Ubisoft and Playstation, what do you all think so far and the days to come?

Re: E3 2012
Only interested in Borderlands 2, other than that they can just keep making more stupid gadgets for us to ignore.
Re: E3 2012
Of the games I knew nothing about pre E3, I am most excited about Watch Dogs. Of the things I was aware of and interested in already, the trailer for AC3 made me think "I want to do that". I'm kind of glad they're keeping all of the Desmond stuff under wraps, although I really really want to know what's going on in the present and hope that you actually get to play as him for a decent portion of the game since his story's supposed to be resolved in this one, so if I don't get to go assassin on that Doctor as Desmond in this, I will be disappointed. H4, still not really that excited about. I know I'm going to play it, but it doesn't look like they're really doing anything terribly interesting with it. Borderlands 2 still looks like it'll be fun though. I think there was mention of split screen, which makes me happy because I want to be able to go split screen and have a decent lan party again. It feels like there aren't enough games that support that kind of thing anymore.

Re: E3 2012
Any new RPG's? I don't quite care about FPS games because they tend to focus too much on Multiplayer.

...I just saw it... The thing that makes everything better...... A new Kingdom Hearts game with a story that's actually important...

Re: E3 2012
There's Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. I issue commands to my party. It lead to a dead party really fast lol. There's also Borderlands 2. There's rpg in my fps. There's fps in my rpg! There's also Fable: The Journey for the 360.Kaori wrote:Any new RPG's? I don't quite care about FPS games because they tend to focus too much on Multiplayer.
There's also DLC for for Skyrim called Dawnguards. Bethesda are planning more future DLC for Skyrim as well.
Played some Dead or Alive 5. Had no idea what I was doing.
Played Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F tech demo for Vita at Sony's booth for a while. I want Sega to port it over. Yes, we are interested!
Also gave Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale a shot. Just not used to seeing no health bars or damage on your character. Didn't know how to do supers to finish off my opponents. They only have 4 characters playable with 8 total announced. Kratos, Sly, Fat Princess, and Sweet Tooth was playable and its expected to come out this year. It still looks pre-alpha build.
Street X Tekken and All-Stars Battle Royale supports cross play with the Vita. While I was at Sony's booth. They gave me and a friend a month free of ps+. My friend didn't have a ps3 so I added 2 more months to my account.
Square-Enix also had a Final Fantasy tech demo. I guess they were trying to gauge interest if they were going to make a full blown game or not with those characters and settings.
Last of Us getting a lot of attention.
I had a lot of fun playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Brought the beat down on my friend heh.
Saw MarkMan from MadCatz and Rich Bantegui from Namco Bandai. Community Managers both MC together a match of Tekken Tag 2 on the big screen at Namco's booth. Saw Rip, Evo 2010 runner up played with his signature Law and selected Ling Xiaoyu. He easily won against the others there. Snoop Dogg is playable in Tekken Tag Tournament 2!! There was a video of him promoting Tekken Tag 2 right next to us while we played our game.
There's also gameplay of Aliens: Colonial Marines by Sega. Last year, they only had cinematics, but nothing else.
Saw Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 golden. There was a line for P4A and I didn't want to wait.
I saw a Star Trek game that is coinciding with the next Star Trek movie. Coming out 2013.
Beyond: Two Souls looks interesting. Watched the gameplay demo. It's a brand new engine instead of using the one from Heavy Rain. Seems like a horror suspense action game.
Assassin's Creed 3: Liberations was announced for the Vita. Female protagonist. The setting is in Louisiana in the 18th century.
Of course, there is Halo 4 there.
Spotted Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate for the 3DS. Honestly looks crappy.
Just Dance 4 put me to sleep. They showcase Dance Central 3. Just kept moving on.
There was a section for ipad, and iphone games. There was a big presence there for casual gamers this time.
I didn't get to play ZoE: HD Collection, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Hitman: Absolution, Darksiders 2, RE6, GoW: Ascension, Dishonored and others that I missed. The line for MGS: Rising was too long.
There was a pole dancer in the same room where you played DmC. Yes, a pole dancer.
I'm so exhausted. Literally mentally and especially physically drained. I don't want to do anything!

Out of all those the ones that interest me are:
Last of Us
Halo 4 (in hopes that it'll fix the game)
ZoE: HD Collection
Darksiders 2
There was a pole dancer in the same room where you played DmC. (And hopefully you can unlock a DMC3 skin for DmC, just to satiate the people like myself who hate the new character design.)

And its not that new Dante looks like he belongs in rehab, but that he looks like an Emo ***** who's ready to slit his wrists with his own sword. Reminds me of this...
Re: E3 2012
The hate is strong for the new Dante in here, as it should. Though the most peculiar thing in E3 for me was the Hatsune Miku game being shown. It is a MAJOR tease for sega to do that and I would jump at the chance to get it if it were to be come out of Japan. Seeing Code of Princess being announced to come to NA was a good treat as well, that game looks pretty good.

Oh, you didn't hear? Tokyo's governor Ishihara Shintaro is a mad man who's trying to shut down the anime, manga, and gaming industry. So the companies have left all Tokyo events in disgust. The new event is called AGE, and I forgot where it's held...TheEnigma wrote:Personally E3 was quite disappointing this year. ACE is mainly replacing TAF the Tokyo International Anime Fair. But people are expecting the gaming industry to follow suit since a lot if its products have been censored or banned from public sale in Tokyo (meaning they've been moved to the infamous "Back Room" in stores).
The best part is its held on the same day as TAF(as a grand "F*** YOU!" to Ishihara) and its in Chiba so there's less trouble navigating a City like Tokyo.
