story: the holy grail war is the competition that decides the ownership of the Grail. You may think of it as an auction for a cup that one thinks is the Holy Grail.
It was created 200 years ago by three families, with Justizia Lizleihi von Einzbern, Tohsaka Nagato and Makiri Zouken, who were trying to create a gate leading to Akasha. At that time, the Mage's Association and the Church were locked in a fight to the death, so a land in the Far East, where the Church couldn't see, was chosen. Einzbern prepared the vessel for the Grail, Tohsaka called forth the Servants, and Makiri designed the Command Seals that command the Servants. cycle of 60 years is needed for the Great Grail to amass enough mana to summon the Servants. The participants are 7 Masters and their Servants. It appears as a battle royal that lasts until only one stands, but the real point is to fill the vessel of the Grail with the souls of the Servants. Defeated Servants turn back to being pure energy and should disappear from the timeline they are incarnated into, but the function Grail of the Einzberns is to stop that temporarily and collect them. Once the vessel is filled, the energy of the Heroic Spirits returning to the "Throne" is used by the Great Grail, in a ritual to open a "hole" leading to Akasha. The Grail selects the magi who will summon the Servants, the Masters carrying three Command Spells to have the Servants obey them. The magi are then called Masters. many people fight for the grail for many different reasons usually the Grail first favors magi from the three original families. Then it picks magi who earnestly want it. The Mage's Association has an interest in it. the grail is What is handed down in the city of Fuyuki isn't the one that received the blood of the Christ, but the prototype of an even more ancient "omnipotent container"; this container is the 726th Grail that sticks to the legend of the name. It is a gate that leads to the Root, Akasha; a hole connected to the nuclear core, the Great Grail a wish machine - the key to startup the Great Grail. It is not an omnipotent container, but a replica created to work like a "wish machine" that can only bring forth one's own answers to his own questions The Grail selects the magi who will summon the Servants, the Masters carrying three Command Spells to have the Servants obey them. The magi are then called Masters.Currently, only the Tohsakas want to reach Akasha, while the Einzberns and Makiri only want the completion of the Grail, that is, the revival of the Third Magic.The war of the Fuyuki city is unique, as it is the only one that has a Servant system that uses Heroic Spirits as familiars. It is to be noted that the war of the Fuyuki city is apparently not the only "war of the Holy Grail", as there seems to be several artifacts labelled as the Holy Grail and different competitions for their ownership many gather aand fight to obtain this grail some even from different parts of the world....though only one can Suceed

servants: Servants are Heroic Spirits summoned by the Holy Grail. Once summoned, they can be classified as familiars as long as they are bound to a Master. Servants are legends from the past, present, or future. Because summoning even one heroic spirit is a miraculous occurence, summoning seven in their pure forms would be beyond the Holy Grail's power. Thus, to facilitate the process, Servants are summoned into one of seven vessels prepared beforehand. These vessels are classified based on their primary roles. Heroic Spirits can be summoned into any "class" that reflects the abilities they had in life.

servant classes:
Saber: Servants placed within this class are agile and powerful melee warriors. It is commonly assumed to be the best class overall, with high ratings in all categories. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Lancer and Archer and also possesses the Riding skill like the Rider class.
Lancer: Servants placed within this class are very agile and skilled with long-range melee weapons, such as spears, lances, etc. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Archer and Saber.
Archer: Servants placed within this class are usually proficient with projectiles and can survive longer without a Master nearby, thanks to their special ability Independent Action. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Lancer and Saber.
Rider: Servants placed within this class place emphasis upon speed and powerful Noble Phantasms. Their special skill is Riding, which allows them to fully utilize abilities of their mounts (ranging from simple horses, through motorcycles, to divine creatures).
Caster: Servants placed within this class are adept in magecraft and have a special ability akin to Reality Marble, called Territory Creation, which alters or creates space around them to enhance their sorcery.
Assassin: Servants placed within this class are always, as a rule, one of the 19 Hassan i Sabbah, the leaders of the clan of the Hashshashins who passed their name down. The Assassin in Fate/stay night summoned by Caster is an exception, an aberration in the system, as he was summoned by another Servant. This rule comes from how the word "assassin" itself finds its etymological roots in that clan. The Assassins' special ability is Presence Concealment, which allows them to remain undetected. Offset by their stealth is their weak combat skills. Due to this, Assassins often target Masters instead of Servants.
Berserker: Servants placed within this class are always incarnations of heroes who have gone berserk on their lifetime. This trait allows them to use the special ability Mad Enhancement, which trades their consciousness (i.e. sanity) for a large power boost. Most Masters are incapable of controlling their Servant once Mad Enhancement has been activated, which eventually results in their death

It is the foundation of all magecraft that enhance the existence of the target by pouring prana, but as no clear expression of how much it can be enhanced is defined, almighty reinforcements are rare. It is the same as adding something to an object that is already complete, in case of failure the target will receive it as a poison. Success requires a good grasp of the inner structure to fill openings with prana. Reinforcing the purpose of existence would be increasing the sharpness of a knife, the nourishment of food, or in the case of a living creature, physical strength and durability. It is impossible to reinforce something vague. As living things will resist invasion of your prana, reinforcing someone else is the hardest
projection: that materializes objects, in accordance to the caster’s imagination, through the use of prana. Gradation comes from the fact that the
created object slowly fades away after being created, and Air is an allusion to the fact that said object is made out of “nothing”.
Jewel: Once prana is embedded into a jewel, it will be tinted by the mystical properties of the stone, and the magus can then use that power whenever and in whatever way she finds necessary

But after a trick to marry the Burgundian king to the queen of Iceland, Brünnhilde, he was assassinated by a vassal of the Burgundians who struck him on his weak point. This connects to the revenge tragedy of his wife Kriemhild for the murder of her husband in the later half of the tale.

Sea of Flames: A single target immensely powerful fire spell that is at least on par with an A rank Noble Phantasm. Of course, using this more than once is exhausting.
Spontaneous Combustion: A fire spell, often accompanied by a snap of his right hand, powerful enough to reduce most people to ashes.
Pyroclasm: A relatively weak fire spell, accompanied by a snap of his left hand, that hits a wide area.
Shining Grasp: A fire spell that augments his unarmed attacks.
Jump Jets: Kylar uses this to fly short distances and also allows him to dash about extremely quickly.
Internal Boiler: Kylar can survive comfortably regardless of the temperature.
Counterspell: Counters the magic of other magi as it's being cast. Depending on the strength of the spell countered, this could leave him exhausted and unable to cast spells for a while.
Breach: A spell for breaking through magical barriers.
Alarm: Informs and awakens, if necessary, Kylar if somebody enters a warded area. He always casts this before going to sleep.
Detour: Wards an area to keep all but the most strongly willed normal people out, most magi don't even notice it because it does not affect them.
Compass Rose: A spell that lets him locate the mage nearest to himself.
Pyrokinesis: Not actually a spell. He can create small flames with a thought.

Bio: Kylar is an Enforcer, a mage who hunts those rogue magi who draw attention to themselves and the world of magic, he has some minor magic resistance because of this. He's at the war to prevent normal people from finding out about it. He will go to any lengths to achieve success in a mission and while he tries to avoid it he does not hesitate to incinerate any civilians who find out about the world of magic. Of course, if the opportunity presents itself he will join the war himself, he's never fought anything as strong as a servant before and is interested in seeing just how strong one is, although exactly what he'd wish for he doesn't know.

~Mystic Eyes of Enchantment: A powerful Mystic Eye that allows one to deliver high-level hypnosis to a target upon eye contact and is commonly seen with Vampires. Activation causes her eyes to temporarily change golden, helping to draw attention to them. Usually wears off once whatever order given is fully carried out (I.E. if she commanded you to leave her be, you'd come back to your senses to find yourself carrying on as if you never saw her with her nowhere in sight).
~Thumaturgical Theory - Notarikon: Thaumaturgical Theories are Greater Rituals that "engrave" a Thaumaturgical System -- a body of preestablished rules, fomented per the faith of the populace; arbitrated and regulated by the thaumaturgical school to which they belong. Commands dictated by mages are submitted through their magical circuits to the System, which processes said commands and executes functions ("Programs"). Lumina's Thaumaturgical School is the Kabbalah, a major Thaumaturgical School from Europe. More specifically, Lumina uses one of its ancient branches, the Notarikon. Little is known as to everything she can do with this as she rarely uses more then one or two forms of it.
~~Spell Intercept: Her most used Thaumaturgy, Lumina uses Notarikon codes to hijack the spell formula that the caster has been conjuring in their head and causes the magic to go berserk or be outright cancelled, providing she has enough prana to effect it. Autonomous Spells --like Bounded Fields-- that are already in effect are largely unaffected by this unless the Magus direct takes control of it.
~~Avalon: Her second most used Thaumaturgy. Lumina uses Notarikon codes to form a simple, but incredibly effective barrier in front of her that blocks all movement through that space in either direction. While a supreme Defense, it renders both sides unable to attack while in effect.

Bio: Lumina is a quiet girl that was orphaned at a young age, but was taken in by the Gewehr family thanks to her ability with Magecraft. Though she proved to be a strong Magus, Lumina's frail, semi-sickly body hindered her able to directly fight for long periods of time. Lumina wants the Holy Grail to revive her parents, that were murdered when she was younger.

~Slyvan Bow: One of the Four Treasures said to be guarded by the Elves when not in use. The Sylvan Bow is a powerful longbow said to scale in strength with its owner. As one of the three Valkyrie Sisters of Fate, Silmeria's arrows can easily crater stone walls even from extreme distance.
~Sword of the Third Sister - Valkyrie Favor: Silmeria's personal and, in a sense, true Noble Phantasm. A shining, silver-bladed longsword that 'delivers the Judgment of the Valkyries' upon a foe, allowing it greater damage against the Undead as well as Dark and/or Evil spirits and is classified as a Divine Holy Sword that easily identifies her as "The youngest of the Valkyrie Sisters" if drawn. Mostly used if a foe closes in on her and for her Strongest Attack(Described below).
--"Attack" Noble Phantasms--
~Blinding Blaze: A Bow-based attack that allows her to fire two Prana-infused arrows into the sky to either shower the foe in deadly arrows(Anti-army) or to Build-up energy for a single, lethal arrow shot(Anti-Fortress).
~Halls of Valhalla: A Reality Marble that actualizes her full Power as a Valkyrie, the Battle-Maiden. It allows her temporarily call upon the Einharjar collected by her to this point to aid her in battle. Though powerful, the start-up required to cast this Reality Marble is exceptionally long, making it something to be started ahead of time in anticipation of its need, rather then a spur of the moment use.
~Judgement of the Valkyrie - Nibelung Valesti: Her strongest Noble Phantasm. By invoking the power of her role and drawing her blade, she can create and unleash a powerful 'Spear of Light' meant to pin a target in place and pass Judgement on their soul, sending them to even Odin's Halls or the Underworld of Queen Hel as appropriate. As Servants cannot be judged so, they simply receive the damage that a high-level attack piercing through them would cause. Uses the Line, "I shall engrave this upon your very Soul!" to activate Valkyrie Favor and unleash this attack.(Anti-Unit/Anti-Fortress)

Bio: As the youngest of the three Valkyries, Silmeria is, characteristically, the most rebellious one, showing greater freedom of spirit than her two sisters, whom follow Odin's order's without question to the letter, and also sympathizes with her Einherjar, treating them with both authority and kindness, and prepares them for reincarnation as humans, rather than sending them to Valhalla. Due to these quirks of her personality and the fact that only one of the Three sisters can be active in one body at a time, Silmeria tends to remain 'sleeping' in wait for her time to awaken.

Despite this Fenrir takes on the appearance of a human for the grail wars because a small part of him still curses his Fate too be born a monstrous wolf

Name: Zorlo
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Magecraft: Fragarach: A unique item passed through the line of Lugh, the Irish God of the Sun, Lightning, and light in general. Although the sword has been broken down to not but a six inch blade from the handle, it still possesses its powers to bend the wind, slice through barriers, and forces all who have the blade pressed to their neck tell the truth. Despite its strength, the damage it suffered has weakened its mastery of the wind.

Wind Magic: Using his prana, Zorlo can easily bend the winds around himself to shield his body from most projectiles, and blow others away. This power drains a large amount of Prana to use for any length of time, so Zorlo avoids using this power whenever possible.

App: A relatively average boy with dyed green hair. He generally wears a green jacket, black pants and a white shirt with Gaelic symbols drawn upon it.

Bio: Zorlo's a member of the Irish Mage's association and has been sent in an attempt to gain the Grail for the sake of the declining Irish mages powers and deal with their long time enemy, the English. By gaining the Grail, the Irish Mages' Guild intends to break the control that both the Catholic Church and the English have over magic, allowing people deemed by both inferior (such as the Irish), to rule over the world of magic.

Name: Gawain the Green Knight
Class: Caster
Noble Phantasm: Knight of the Sun: A power that, unfortunately, functions better during the daytime hours. In the sunlight, Gawain gains the power of the sun, causing his body to glow with an intense brightness that is almost blinding to behold. At noon, the power of this effect is said to make Gawain unequaled in strength.

Although this power is best known for its power of making Gawain the strongest knight of Arthur's court at noon (greater even than Lancelot it is said), its powers have been adjusted to fit his new class. Also a former druid before becoming a knight, Gawain's communion with both the Earth and with the sun allows this power to be active at night, causing his body to glow radiantly. Although it makes him stronger at night as well, it functions a lot like a battery, and extended battles within the nighttime hours causes the glow to vanish. When he stops glowing, Gawain's strength wanes to no greater than a humans.

This effect is passive and also grants him defense from Fire Magic when active.

Sword of the Sun: Unlike Gawain's armor, which has lost all magical property, his sword maintains its powers. The major difference is that the Knight of the Sun's sword has literally become concentrated sunlight. Although its design is the same, the blade burns brightly whenever it strikes something. This weapon only has power so long as Knight of the Sun is has effect. Whenever Knight o the Sun is extinguished, his sword vanishes until he regains the power to summon it.

Solar Discharge: The power to release the power of the sun he has contained within his body. This power can be used to create balls of pure solar energy, release streams of solar heat, or, in worst case scenarios, turn Gawain into a massive energy bomb. This power runs directly off of Knight of the Sun effect and can only be used until he runs out of charged solar power.

Druidic Powers: Gawain's powers over nature are attuned with the powers of nature. Even outside of the sunlight, he possesses the power to control nature itself. The levels of control vary from the ability to bring trees to life, using his Prana, to act as warriors to using vines and bushes to ensnare foes. Perhaps most impressive is that his Knight of the Sun ability can restore even devastated landscapes to life, but drains at the absorbed power he had from the sun.

He can also form pure life energy into bolts of magic. He possesses the power to greater a number of these at the same time to both create chaos and inflict damage when needed.

Although he's lost a great deal of his physical power, his druidic powers also grant him an accelerated rate of regeneration and requires that a clearly fatal blow be dealt in order to completely kill him.

Armor of Thorns: Although Gawain's Armor has lost its magical powers, he can form thorns from the armor that inflict damage on any foe who attacks him. This foe is passive and always active.

Arcane Talent: Gawain's wife, a woman known to be either a fae or magus herself, taught him the basic knowledge of magic allowing him to better combine his druidic powers into his Territory.

Territory: As one would expect of a knight of both the sun and the forest, Gawain's territory takes the form of a massive forest where the sunlight of high noon always radiates upon him. IN this place, his magical powers and physical prowess are manifested in their purest form.

Appearance: A blonde-haired knight that wears light green armor with a dark green belt, Gawain stands around six-feet tall and carries an empty sheathe at his left side.

Bio: A knight of the Round Table who was said to rival Lancelot, Gawain's story begins long before the French Knight's. His summoning was brought about because he seeks to save his brothers and preserve his kingdom by slaying Lancelot before the trial of the queen. Although summoned as Caster, he retains an amount of his physical prowess as a knight, even though his magical powers and defenses have grown much greater than as Saber, at cost to physical fighting when Knight of the Sun is extinguished.

In this new time he has been summoned, Gawain maintains his status as the most courteous of knights as well, making it necessary for him to fight any foe head on and never strike a person who is turned away. Although these actions bother Zorlo, who is more intent on winning then fighting fairly, the two find themselves forced to negotiate their next actions in the war and battle tactics.

From the seat behind them Kylar groaned, "It doesn't matter at this point." He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and took stock of the other people onboard. "I take it you two are here for the...convention?" The enforcer turned his gaze on the people in front of him and made a staying gesture. "Relax, I'm not here because I wish to be. Although, I cannot guarantee the same for everyone else here. Piece of friendly advice, don't talk about such things outside of closed doors, some people are even less concerned about secrecy than yourself." He had tagged Kira as a witch as soon as she had sat down, but he hadn't realized that Saber was Saber until just now. In part because he had been sleeping, his last assignment had been quite the affair, thus Kylar's hood was pulled up to keep the light out of his eyes, and to hide his ears.

In the city proper, a girl with ankle-length white hair breathed hard as she emerged from a dim alleyway onto a relatively empty street, coughing a little from her unplanned physical exertion. Behind her, group of young men argued loudly. Or rather. Two of them 'argued' with the other two, whom stood blocking the Alleyway, separating Lumina from the men that had wanted 'just to talk' with her. "Are you alright, Lumina...?" came Archer's whisper from a spot nearby where she stood dematerialized and invisible.

Lumina waved her off, coughing hard a few more times. "...I'll be fine..." she coughed as she looked back down the alley. The two blocking the way were under her Hypnotic control at the moment, thought that wouldn't last forever. Still, it was long enough to leave the area and be home. The few deep breaths later, and she was able to stop coughing and walk away just fine.

Archer merely trailed behind invisibly before leaping to the top of a nearby building, looking around as she roughly followed along. Just how in the World did such a physically Frail girl manage to summon me...? she thought to herself as she looked down toward her Master, who already looked a bit tired. She won't last on the Battlefield... Even with those eyes of hers...

It's be starting soon, I'm sure of it! Lumina thought to herself as she turned the corner and crossed over to the fenced property that she was fortunate enough to called home now. The gate opened at her approach and Archer landed silently behind her as the two entered and the gate closed behind them. Though it wasn't all that grand it was definitely something a people of 'average' income couldn't afford. It was good enough for her. Mother...Father... As soon as I win, I'll get you back.

A man wearing a casual suit without the blazer looked over at the three talking. He could feel his companion starting to wake up a little. She had had little sleep last night because of the noise the latest kills had created. He sighed and turned towards them, wondering if he should tell them to quiet down. Still, it wasn't like they were making the only noise in the room. "Nothing's wrong, Miss Saskia." He spoke, the woman relaxing as she moved closer to him. He would never initiate physical contact with her unless it was to save her life, nothing more.

The ringing phone reminded him that it was almost time. "What is it?" Zorlo asked as he listened to the man in a thick, Irish accent begin berating him about how long he had taken to get ready. "I came to this city months ago to get used to the crazy culture of these people, and you're gonna bother me about such trivial things as finishing my preparations? How bothersome," Zorlo said as he closed his cell phone and sighed. For the Irish Mage's Association, this battle was about more than just honor... it was to gain control of the magus world. They had chosen Zorlo simply because they could trace his lineage back to Lugh, the God of the Sun, and yet the servant summoned using the blade of said god hadn't worked out as well.

"Why, good sir, do you seem so down?" Gawain asked as he looked at his Master.

"Caster, what did I tell you about talking to me in public."

"They cannot see me, Master. Why are you so concerned."

"I have an image to uphold. Looking crazy because I'm talking to myself doesn't fit that image."

"How now, sir, how now. Let thine fears be relinquished within the soon to be fires of war. When the battle begins, thou shalt not fear thine image, as thou shalt engage in divine combat."

Zorlo looked at Gawain and sighed. "Right... Well, just make sure you're ready."

The knight was engulfed in a blaze of energy that made his body invisible in the day sun. It had been nearly a week since his summoning, and his body was filled with huge amounts of solar energy. "Kind sir, I am always ready. Let us sally forth onto the battlefield!" Gawain yelled as he rushed off.

Zorlo sighed and let at the seals on his left hand. "Why, gods, did I have to summon him. Since I didn't summon Lugh or Setanta, I'm guessing both Lancer and Saber were already taken. I shouldn't have stalled so long... or partied so much. Well, Caster will be enough... I feel an odd power about him... something that isn't quite like sorcery... but isn't completely different. What the hell kind of magic can a knight have?" Zorlo inquired as he started after his servant. It was going to be another headache inducing day.

Kira: { she looks behind her} Wait....and enfor- { her mouth gets muffled by siegfried's hand}

Siegfried: master did you forget allready that affairs such as these are to remain secret to the publiic eye...{ he looks over his shoulder} I apologize for her out burst kind sir { he bows his head respectfully}

Kira: { after she's calmed down as she sits back down normally}....* I didnt think we'd see one so soon...so he's an enforcer. jeez and Saber is still so relaxed whats with him..*

Siegfried: .... { siting down with his eyes closed}

voice: we shall be arriving in Fuyuki city shortly please fasten your seat belts as we begin our descent

Kylar tightened his seat belt, he really didn't enjoy flying but he especially hated the beginning and end of flights, so he usually just tried to smile and endure them. The seriousness in his tone melted away now that they were on the tarmac, "Your family is from this area, right? You know of any good places to eat here?" He pulled a briefcase and a bag big enough for a change of clothes or two from the compartment.

Siegfried: { he grabs their bags as he walks with her towards the exit as Siegfried looks around} * the world surely has changed....*

Kira: Saber...are you curious?

Siegfried: master?

Kira: about the world this century?....{ she grabs his hand} come on lets go I'll show you around...we don't have to check in at the house until later tonight anyway come on { she runs off dragging Siegfried}

Kylar hailed a cab and reviewed the list Kira had given him en route to his hotel. After getting checked in, under another alias, he hit up one of the places Kira had informed him of. Kylar sat in the back of the restaurant, with the lights dimmed, and made sure he knew where the nearest mage was before he pulled his hood down, mussed with his hair, and massaged his ears. At least I don't have to hit the ground running right away. Still, when I'm done here, I should scout the rest of the magi in the city.

Saskia walked beside her bodyguard, one arm still on his. "Joachim." The man turned to look at his charge. "Is it all right to eat over there?" She motioned towards the restaurant ahead of them.They had been walking for awhile to clear the air and wake up. The war was going to start soon and people would try and grab the vessel early if they knew her location.

"If that is what you wish Miss Saskia." Joachim answered, walking with her into the restaurant.
