Man in Tophat: hmmm? { he glances at the book with his golden eyes as a shadow grabs it and holds it infront of him} Strange....it doesnt open * could this be what I've been searching for....though that Grimoire was thought to be lost yet it has chosen this boy { he grins to himself} this could get very interesting seems I've appeared at the Right time* { he tosses the book to Zellos as he looks towards Xander} so what do we do with this chap? { as he tilts his hat up}

Raven: { he stops as he trips and falls into the pile of vampires} AHHH!!!! {he jumps out of the pile as he lands back} whats going on?

Xander shrugged and put his arm around Raven, and pulled him back from the pile gently. "I say we wait for him to at least stop eating bones. Oh good, he's thinking again. Good to see you Raven, he seems to have a taste for vampires so you might want to keep back."

Melanie had left practically nothing that might identify the remains as vampire, or even human for that matter, of the second corpse, and picked up a third, dug his mouth full of fangs into it's throat and began sucking. "Raven, do vampires have blood in their veins?" Inquired Xander.

Either the vamp was completely drained or he was no longer thirsty, because the weretiger's hesitate spewed to a stop and the fur disappeared back into his skin; he ripped out the throat of the corpse and threw it atop the remains of the first. He pulled out a black handkerchief and cleaned up his face and hands before he turned to face the men in tophats. He looked from one to the other he raised an eyebrow at the apparent dress code before he bowed, "I apologize for that unsavory display my lords, my name is Melanie Butler." His eyes darted to the remaining bodies. The black haired vampire clearly still had food on the brain. "How may I be of service to you today?" He asked rising from his bow.

Raven: yeah we have blood usually the blood of vampires is poison to other vampires....though their are some rare cases I guess this guy is one of those others eh?....Wait what the hell are you?

man in tophat: well than " how man I be of service" you say why don't you tell us who you are

Raven: you smell different from the others...your not a regular vampire are you?

"Of course my lord, I am Melanie Butler. I am the youngest, perhaps not now, but when I was last awake I was the youngest in a family of butlers in service to a number of notable families, the identities of which I cannot reveal in good conscience." "I can." Interjected the Xander projection. "Sorry." Melanie glanced at Xander briefly and then nodded. "Of course, no apology necessary, my lord. I don't know what I am. I was attacked by a large tiger one night, I managed to kill it with some silverware, and perhaps an hour later a strange man bit me as well. I don't remember much else about that night. The following day I was put through witch trials at my mistress's request. I was deemed a servant of Satan and they nearly burned me at the stake. As the flames lapped at my legs I changed into what you saw a moment ago and fled. I lived as a vagrant, stealing food," He looked down in shame, "and attacking people for their blood to survive." Melanie looked back up at the men in the top hats. "Is that satisfactory, my lords?" "I'm Xander Rickel, you can just call me Xander." "Of course, my lord Xander." "Just Xander." He nodded hesitantly, "Of course, Xander." He's starting to sound like a broken record.

Yukari merely watched in Silence as Raven tore off into the distance. She noticed Mary removing her cat ears and did the same with her witch hat, vanishing it into her storage space with her purse that Xander wanted her to have. The Cell phone had been integrated directly into her already. "Xander. If you do not have any orders for me. I wish to look around until needed," she stated suddenly.

"It's fine by me. I'll call you if I need you." Xander waved her off. "You going to go be a good little stalker and watch from afar or are you going to go be a good friend and look around with her, Zorlo?" Xander raised his legs to sit indian style on the fountain and stashed the camera.

"I'm gonna look around with her, you creep. After all, stalking is something I do on my FREE time, not on my JOB time," he said with a laugh as he tossed the baseball cap onto a pile and put his Fedora back on as he moved over to Yukari. Try though Ouroboros may, the fez wouldn't be removed. Zorlo had used a little trickery to get it stuck to the snake, for now.

"Yeah yeah, you kids have fun." He thought to Ouroborous, "Don't worry, it can only get better. Ok, I can think of a number of ways it could get worse. But, you know what I mean. And what does he mean by creeper, if anything I'm a super creeper, nobody else can stalk you inside your own head."

"So, looks like it's just us now. What do you want to do Donnely?" Xander hopped up off his seat, he floated to a landing next to Mary.

She knew that whatever was going on must be important. Should she go and follow Raven? Still, there were some things to worry about. If there wasn't a problem with certain things, she could try and go to the bakery. She had a feeling this would not be something that would happen easily. She looked in the air, noticing that there was a set of shikigami in the air. They were far too familiar and she knew who would be there most likely. Her parents must be hunting some vampires down. If they had come into town, there was a bigger reason though. There was a need for them to find her and she couldn't allow herself to be subject to their interrogation.

A tophat floated into Mary's view. "Donnely, Donnely, Earth to Donnely. What's wrong?" Xander was floating in the air above Donnely and waving his hand in her face.

She looked towards Xander, a bit surprised she had completely forgotten he was there. 'My parents are here.' She thought, knowing that even if she spoke out loud, it wouldn't change what she'd say. Still, it was best her parents didn't hear certain things. They were also not able to hear her voice for years, so she wouldn't change that. 'Their Shikigami are in the sky, looking for me.'

"I see, I suppose we should make sure they don't find you. You want me to send them on a wild goose chase or should I just erase their memory of you?" Xander let himself fall back to the ground and looked up at the Shikigami, pushing his tophat back a little for a better view.

'They are still my parents. Maybe a wild goose chase.' She closed her eyes to stop focusing on the creatures above her. She still wanted to go to the bakery and if she had to talk to them, she couldn't go.

"Right, just giving you the option Mary." The Shikigami 'spotted' Mary, wearing a stetson, heading in the direction opposite the bakery. "There, that should buy us quite a good long time and lead them on a merry chase. To the cake sale?" A breeze knocked Xander's tophat off. He picked it up and brushed it off before putting it back on. "There we go, that's much better right?"

Mary nodded, a smile on her face again as they walked towards the bakery. Using all those shikigami in one day would have made it harder for her to outwit her parents at this time. Usually she stuck to working to avoid having to talk to them. 'Is there something going on?'

Xander turned to face Donnely and rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, was that actually a question or were you just thinking? It's hard to tell sometimes. I usually ere on the side of caution and just ignore it when people have thoughts like that, but since you've been speak-thinking think-speaking? whatever, to me it's hard to tell. If it was a question for me then no, well yes, but it doesn't have anything to do with you, not immediately at least." He shook his head and turned back around to walk properly again, "You'll find out soon enough, so I might as well tell you. There's a werevampiretiger or would it be a weretiger vampire? Yeah that sounds better. Anyways, he's an English butler who's been sleeping since Queen Victoria's time and he has quite the phenomenal appetite. He's in the middle of a five course meal made up entirely of vampires. I'd go into more detail, but I wouldn't want to spoil your appetite."

"I've heard worse." Mary spoke softly, turning into the bakery and looking at the cakes. In the past she'd always have fun trying to choose certain kinds so she'd annoy her brother. Now it was a matter of wondering if they'd taste as sweet as they looked. If they didn't have a taste... If they didn't it was a sign she was really worried about something and couldn't enjoy it.

"If you say so. Oh look, we're here. Looks popular." People stepped aside for Xander and Mary. "I'm thinking something with chocolate or maybe that red velvet over there probably something with sprinkles or that fancy looking frosting. Oh wow, look at the size of that one." He exclaimed and pointed at a wedding cake. "You don't think they're going for quantity over quality for it, do you? Though I suppose there's only one way to really be sure. What do you think we should try first?" Xander was trying to keep Mary from thinking about her parents, or anything else troubling, without directly influencing her mind.

She looked at the various cakes, seeing a rainbow sprinkle batter one. She always thought they looked like random balloons in a cake and they were dangerous. She pointed towards it, seeing if Xander would be interested in it.

Xander levitated the cake over to himself. "Looks interesting." The people working there looked like they were about to say something to the effect of 'what the hell?', but then they said nothing and went back to working. A soulknife appeared in Xander's hand and he cut himself a slice before the blade disintigrated and he took a bite out of the slice. "That's pretty good, it has an interesting texture. You want to try it?" He offered the slice to her.
