Anyone else play it yet? I got mine a day after it was released and beat it an hour ago on, what I say, is a good ending lol
All in all it was a damn good game, short but sweet in every way.

Not that into puzzle games, and I've always been less than thrilled with Atlus' works. I'll admit, I've was playing Persona 4 for a while, but I got bored of it. All you have to do is give yourself personae that have elemental nulls and some a wide range of element attacks. With 10 slots that's not even that hard.

Currently playing it right now. Some of the puzzles are hard, even on normal. Anime scenes are high production value and the dub is impressive so far. I'm at Stage 4. It has overall favorable reviews. I'm not big on puzzle games either, but gave this game a shot. It has 9 endings, so this will take me a while.

Get the ending where your brother steals Catherine because you were messing around with the Blonde.

I'm lazy to read reviews as they're all vague and bring up too many unnecessary details...So, in short words, what is this game about?

One of my friends is quite obsessed with it already, but the way he talked about it, it sounded like a hentai game where i solve jigsaw problems (lol puzzle) to decide which girl i'm going to bang D: lol

That's actually a pretty good way of describing it. You can also **** up and end up with neither woman.

Hmmm Well the best way I can put it is, you lead vincent on the right path figuratively and literally. Your answers to the questions the game gives you decides his actions during important points in the story. There are originally 8 stages in the whole game with floors between them you have to climb and survive during each nightmare. There's more floors after that but they'll only be playable if you led vincent on the morally right path. I'm really proud of myself that i was able to get the best ending IMO. I won't spoil anything but things all worked out in the end for everyone, well except for Tobi but that's another story. All in all the story is pretty mature, different than what the Persona Team usually does, more adult. The gameplay is so-so if you don't like puzzles like most people but the game as a whole is addicting. As for the hentai, well yeah Catherine sends you suggestive images on vincent's phone and the scenes with her are quite "suggestive" lol. But the only things i said while playing it was "Oh **** no way!". Oh! and the game has a multiplayer mode! But I'll leave you these two words that are vital in the game  Astaroth, Succubus

@zerokoolpsx, OOOh Stage 4 The Inquisition, are you at the Child moment yet? It's an annoying boss. But they do get more annoying each level. Oh and here's a hint the game told me right at the end, The red and blue meter that shows up in the story and at the questions depends on how you want to live you life Blue is Order and Red is Freedom. I mostly stayed in the blue during the whole game lol :P

@Erranty, Did you even play the game?

If there are copious amounts of suggestive images, it's an ero-ge.

Maybe I should re-hash my previous statement; because it's about 'women', it's a gal-ge.

On that topic; I was reading some reviews, and they've all said things like 'wow so original!' and 'never seen a game like it!'
All these reviews were done by westerners.
Little did they know that if they bothered to just step into Japanese gaming a bit further, they'd soon discover a world of games like Catherine. I agree that Atlus has made the game especially noteworthy because they gave the protagonist psychological problems-hence making the game far more interesting to play through-but aside from that, the game's main principles-puzzler, gal-game-have been done to death in Japan.
On that note; kudos to Atlas for bringing some spice to the genre in the form of a new style of setting and protagonist.

I just beat stage 4. My god was it painful. I kept dying over and over. I'm right before the 5th boss in nightmare. Luckily I managed to grab as much pillows as I can before dying, so atm. I have 50 retries lol. My alignment is currently blue to the max. I'm only on normal. I shudder to think what hard is like =/

Yeah the baby was definitely one of the hardest bosses in the game, besides another one but you'll find out soon hahaha...ha..ha. Stage 5 was a cake walk but be warned that boss is pretty fast too. Stage 6 will add another annoying block that'll be a thorn in your side while playing lol. Yeah I think the game gives you 2 retries for just 1 pillow, I like the fact that they don't go away after you get them and die but they'll still be there at the checkpoints. And I'm considering going on hard mode the only problem id have would be the no undo button lol

There is a reason why Atlus is so infamous in the gaming world, Y'know.

I played the demo and saw a few gameplay on youtube. I just have one question. They say its a Puzzle/Horror game. How the hell is this a Horror? I nearly **** my pants watching the entirety of the first Silent Hill and I'm playing the demo of this game and I'm not scared at all.

Because of the nightmares and all the scary stuff you can come up across, i suppose. I've been looking more into this game and i see that the "hentai"-ism on it is almost like a facade of the real thing; you see it all over the game's cover and all, but what this game is really about is within the dreams of the main character. That's where the main gameplay resides, and that's where you must solve the puzzles and suffer against the bosses, and all the fun gaming stuff.

Now this game sounds much more different than what i thought it was a first (a freaking Dating Sim game, no nightmares at all)...and it has made me both interested...and fearful about it; not because of the "horror part" but because of the "boss rape" part XDD I no longer hear about the "ZOMG ANIME NUDE" stuff regarding the game, but about how FREAKING INSANE some puzzles are, and insane as in "SERIOUSLY YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO GET THROUGH THIS THERE'S SIMPLY NO FUCKING WAY SO RUN WHILE YOU CAN". One of my friends, who i respect heavily due to his gaming skills (i'm extremely good, yes...but we're talking about serious business when it comes to him), simply cannot continue with this game anymore, specifically the Stage 9-5 or so in Hard Mode. And me...little Legendary and Mythical Fallen Angel Dark Paladin Knight me, who couldn't even complete the required missions for a Silver Trophy in MvC3 and is scared shitless of ever playing any Shin Megami Tensei, even the easiest ones...yeah, i don't think i'm prepared to be touching this game 'XD lol

It's hard to describe. You really have to play the game-and understand the main character's situation-in order to get the 'horror' aspect.

I finished the game on both sides both with true endings. The good one is warm hearted. And I didn't expect the bad side ending at all. It freaked me out actually.

I'm at stage 7. With work and OT, it has really cut my gaming time to almost nothing. Will set aside some time this week to do a few puzzles. At least I finished the first 64 puzzles of Rapunzel. Now another 64 stages of that? Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, maybe on another playthrough.

There are some things I noticed, the night when you're at the stray sheep before the true final nightmare you get unlimited chances at rapunzel! Also check out the jukebox there are some tracks from other SMT games on there you can play while you walk around in a drunk-zombie like fashion lol I'm currently trying to unlock more stages for babel. good thing you move faster shitfaced :D
