lol, I saw you were able to log on. Yea, the welcome back offer expired a few days ago =/

I'm pretty sure this was on purpose. "Locking" the password recovery system (for an external reason) which in turn prevents new accounts from being created, so that no new accounts can come and take full advantage of the Welcome Back offer. And as of those who forgot their passwords and don't have the other means USA people had to recover it...well, sucks to be them >_________________>
But well, at least my bro did download it and i think he still has PS+. He hasn't done much with it though...Just downloaded inFamous (and hasn't played it) and random avatar bundles or something. They weren't free though, just cheaper than if he had bought each one separately.
...Seems like it could be time to attempt a new Assembly project directed to the PSN servers. See if they truly have patched up their firewalls <___________________< lol

YLOD are truly horrible indeed D; And your case isn't the first i hear about this week. Hopefully you can get it fixed soon somehow though...and hopefully i'm not the next one .____. Having my PS3 not working after i just recovered my account... that would truly make me change to a 360 just for the rage .-.
