Solatorobo to be released in the US

Post by Sadivinedevil »

After making my daily rounds of looking up news for games such as .hack//Link, Xenoblade, and the Last Story I finally got some good news about Solatorobo's US release. At the moment it has only been announced for release in the US, and it has not been given a release date yet. This could mean that .hack//Link isn't too far behind because it is the only game Cyber Connect 2 made that hasn't been announced for release in America yet (Asura's Wrath's was at E3 and it's demo had English voice acting so it's definitely coming over). Unfortunately, I think Nintendo was the driving force behind this game's localization, so this could mean nothing for .hack//Link's localization.

Here's hoping! I mean it's an even more obscure sequel than Link, right? Well, spiritual sequel, but still...

Many people are speculating that Xseed is publishing Solatorobo in the US.

Apparently Solatorobo is in the Guinness Book of World records for it's advertising campaign in Japan. It apparently had 100 different TV adds displayed in an 8 hour time frame, hopefully on different channels, on Japanese television.

According to IGN it is confirmed that Xseed will be publishing Solatorobo this fall in America. I will post the release date when it is announced.

Wow, that makes it even more depressing given how XSEED said they'd never bring over Link in a million years:

It's like any glimmer of hope you could get from this was pre-emptively morphed into anti-hope.

They have to have the rights to the game before they can publish it, and Namco Bandai isn't giving those rights out.

I'm pretty sure they would if anyone actually wanted to pay for it... It wouldn't be the first Bamco game XSEED got the rights to...

That's true, but Link's localization is still up to Namco Bandai because they have the rights to the game.
