Raphael shook his head reveiling two small, round, red holes on his neck, until his hair covered it once more. "Why would I be followed? What's with that thing on your face? New tatoo? Didn't think you were one for Tats... " Raphael was never one to take a hint. The recent scars on his inner lip he was deffinitely shocked at, but not afraid. His eyes appeared solid black to Nicolai. No iris revealed. "But I am thirsty. How about we go get a drink?"

Lumina opened her mouth to reply to Nicolai's question when Raphael's quiet whisper made her freeze in surprise. It wasn't the first time by far. It really wasn't even the first time recently. But for her, it was a difficult thing to get used to and it still scared the hell out of her when he did it. She'd gotten better at controlling her reaction though, as she'd only stiffened for a moment. She couldn't, however, stop her eyes from glazing momentarily in terror before she calmed herself. Arietta, on the other hand, let out something between a feminine shout and a Fox's yip as she momentarily vanished in fright, reappearing a moment or two later looking at him and breathing hard. "Don't do that!!" Arietta yelled at him indignantly, two waving angrily.

"Arietta, Please. It's okay," Lumina lied with a smile as she turned to include Raphael in the group conversation. She knew that Arietta knew it terrified her when he did that. But she could bear it. She didn't want to make Raphael feel bad about something he couldn't really control. Plus she was more concerned about what was going on. "Is... something wrong, guys?" she asked quietly not sure if she were interrupting something.

The color drained from his face, Nicolai closed his eyes and looked down. "Raph..." He relaxed his hands and let them fall to his sides. He took a deep breath and spoke in a resigned tone, "I'm sorry. I am so so sorry. You were bitten by a vampire. No, this is not a joke. I-I need to go. Now." He turned and started to leave, but turned to Arietta. "Call me if something happens and don't let him bite anyone." Nicolai took two steps, golden essence forming around his legs, and then he leaped skyward, he was out of sight in a matter of seconds. He had some thinking to do.

"I assumed as such...But vampires don't exist. Besides look." He steppd out of the shade, "Sunlight." He shook his head and turned to Lumina. "Nothings wrong...Do you know if any place is hiring? I sorely need a job..." He couldn't escape the Hunger in his stomach though. He hadn't eaten in two days though. Maybe it's just a stomach virus?

Something was off she confirmed. She stood up taking in one last glance of the forest than looked back towards the town. She wouldn't be seeing the woods again for a long time. She sighed turning from the city and retreating into the shadows.

Lumina looked at him a moment. She could feel it, something about him was off but she wasn't sure what. Then there was Nicolai's comment about him being bitten. If that was true, then... shouldn't Raphael have burned away before her eyes just now...? She shook her head to clear the conflicting thoughts. One thing at a time. It was the best way to go. "Umm... I think the restaurant I work at might, but they tend to favor waitresses over waiters, so I don't know. If you want, I can take you there tomorrow afternoon when I go to work, Okay? Right now, I'm more concerned about you, Raph. Are you sure you're okay? You don't look good," Lumina replied as Arietta looked at Raphael carefully, but said nothing.

"Eeep!" she yelled, just barely dodging a car and running across the street. Soong was anything but used to the city. Infact she had never been in one until now. A breeze flew up rustling her dress. Blushing she quickly locked her arms at her side hoping to keep her dress from flairing up. This dress was way to short for taste. She would have much rather have her fine leather clothing back, but in order to fit into modern day society she had to wear this. This dress she thought was more than uncomfertable.
Why would humans want to wear these things? she thought while plucking a bit at her dress. Humans, they were just one giant enigma to the druids.
She countinued to walk down the road and looked up from her dress to see two people standing up in the distance with worried looks on there faces. She the boys face gave her an uneasy feeling.

He smiled, showing pointed fangs, "Just fine. Are you hungry? We could go out?" Raphael paused to think over what he would say, "Or we could go to the movies?"

Westher sat at the head of the Horde. His body was of pure darkness, and only his eyes could be seen. "This Daylighter. His name would be?" Four men stood and then crouched at his feet. "Raphael. Raphael Sanite Sir!" Westher extended an arm and slapped him."You will speak only when spoken to. Who sired him?"

Nicolai's Mountain Crossing Leap Technique landed him in the city's botanical gardens. It was one of his favorite places to go, it was full of life and things thriving off the light of the sun. His landing had startled a nearby couple, but after a moment they shrugged and politely ignored him. He started wandering through the place. No matter how many times he walked it he almost always found something new. Raph, one of his closest friends was a vampire, or soon would be. He had sworn to eradicate such things and his very core urged him to do that too. People had tried to stop him from slaying monsters before saying that they weren't like the rest of their kind, that had never stopped him. But now his friend was one. He couldn't just let a vampire live, but he couldn't kill his friend either, could he? "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?" He shouted at the sun, it didn't respond.

He sat himself down on a bench and glared at the water. He wanted to go kill something, but he didn't have any leads on things that needed to be hunted. And if he went all vigilante on some gang members the police would get involved. His blade appeared in his hands and he slammed it into the ground as he roared in frustration. All I know how to do is destroy evil, and that's instinctive, I don't know any way of reversing the effects of being turned. He leaned forward and rested his head against the pommel of Twilight Paradox. "Stupid sword. Is this why I was fated to wield you?"

After Raphael hand flashed his teeth she froze. Her eyes wide in shock and her mouth gaping open. She quickly recovered herself hoping know one had noticed.
There is no dought. He is the disturbance.

Both Lumina and Arietta gasped slightly at the sight of his new fangs. Arietta went pale as she seemed to float around behind Lumina. "Lumina, something wrong... We need to go," the Two-tails whispered in her ear from behind, where Raphael wouldn't be able to see her lips move. But even as the Kitsune tried to pull her back, Lumina held her ground, surprisingly. It's not that she wasn't scared though... Her heart was racing slightly from this. But... she didn't want to just leave him like this by himself. He opened up to her and her alone, and she wanted to help him, if she could.

"It'll be okay, Arietta," she whispered to her friend before smiling to Raphael. "I am a little hungry. But, we don't have to go out though, Raph. My apartment is just down the street. Why don't we go there?"

"Sure. If that is what you want?" Raphael was a little surprised, but he did like getting to be with her.

"Simon. Simon Solom," Westher slapped him again. "Not. You. Sreek."

She decided that before she could go on a mad hunt for this guy she needed a place to stay first and get a better look at him. She steadyed herself in her heals and walked up to the three.
"Excuse me..." she said stopping in right in front of Raphael. "Can you tell me where the closest spaces are?"
She smiled gracefuly and tilted her head a little.

Lumina smiled. Wow... She looks like one of my dolls.. Lumina thought it herself as Arietta looked at her.

She's cute... And this rich, fresh scent... Just like the forest after the rains... Arietta though with a smile as she caught Soong's scent. "Oh, you can't be Human. No Human could ever hope to smell this! The scent of the forests," Arietta blurted out, causing Lumina to playfully tap the Two-tails on the back of the head. "Oh, sorry about that," Arietta said with an apologetic smile.

Lumina giggled. "I'm sorry. You'll have to excuse my friend here. She's not quite used to things like etiquette or tactfulness yet," Lumina explained. "Still, if you mean open spaces, the Park is a block or so that way." She pointed, indicating the other side of the buildings. "If you meant an apartment, I think the building up the street has some vacants, if you ask around," she finished as she pointed up the street, back the way Soong walked. "I hope that helps you, Miss."

The Druids eyes were on him the moment he had come into veiw. How did he know what she was? No. Not know. He could FEEL her existence. But she wouldn't stop staring. "Did anybody tell you that it's impolite to stare?"

"Dex!" The boy near the back of the crowd finally woke up, Only took three times to wake him. Quite unusual. Dex was an Egyptian king. Or, Was. He's been dead for over seven thousand years, and couldn't seem to shake off his long slumber. "Westher?" "You shall meet with this...Rafale." "Raphael," someone corrected from the crowd. "Whatever. He shall be your project!"

She looked at Arietta and bug grin crossed her face
"It's alright. Sorry, I meant living spaces" she glanced back over at Raphael "I'm sorry I didn't mean to appear as if I was staring at you"

Appear? Yeah Right. He laughed showing his pointed teeth once more. "You Druids are all the same." And the he suddenly Froze. He wasn't supposed to know what she was. Damn. He was deffinitely changing.

She tipped her head a little in curiosity.
"Is that so?" her voice and star sounding looking more ancient, more sinister. "and you vampires will never change"

"Ummm..." Lumina hesitated for a moment as she watched the animosity slowly begin to build. It didn't help much that Arietta already seemed to agree with Soong. "I, uhh, have a question to ask you two though," she began politely, if a bit timidly, as she edged between Soong and Raphael. "How can Raphael be a Vampire if he's been standing in the Sun for the last five minute?" she said as she indicated the dying light that still mostly shone on him. "I mean... wouldn't he be dust or something by now?"

That's when Dex Appeared. "He's a Daylighter. Not even a True Vampire yet. Not until he digs himself outta the ground anyways." He was in his princely form. Who would want to wear Bandages all their life? "And I suggest you bury him soon before he Fades. Or Disappears from existence." Nobody could have thought Dex was a Mummy.
