Re: Twilight World Rp
He let the bow string go slack and returned the arrow to his quiver. Jiles shielded his eyes and looked up at the sun. They only paid me for the morning, I think my time's just about up. They can get mad at me later if they feel like I've shorted them, besides these specialized arrows are not cheap. He put away his bow and took off his beret, waving it at one of the other guards to let them know he was leaving.
Jiles started to head to a cafe, but he spied one of his victims walking ahead of him. This one in particular he had no regrets over, but his most recent victim was another matter. From what he could see she had been exonerated. He looked towards the docks, the smoke was gone, as expected, but he had seen enough people come and go today to know which path she was most likely to take. He leaned against a wall with a handkerchief which he dabbed in a concoction to wipe off the red paint from his arrows.

Haruka began to make her way slowly down the streat. She took her time as she whent she wasn't in a hurry in the first place. She didn't see to many people as she was walking. Most had already gone home she supposed, they were probably all ready home eating and chating with there famillies. She sighed and continued walking noticing someone up ahead of her.

"Kite? I assume that is you. Gave me a pretty good description." The man sat next to him, and offered his hand. "Names Rozue. The appointed Mayor." Kite raised an eyebrow. Someone of such stature speaking to me? He obviously wanted something. "Now I assume you wish a 'favor'?" Kite didn't take his hand, but he did nod in appreciation. "You know us folks all to well." "I was one of you once. If I carried no information from that time I would be completely idiotic now wouldn't I?" "I suppose that's true."

Jiles stepped toward Haruka, he inclined his head slightly and handed the handkerchief to her. "This should take care of your tag." He didn't wait for a response and returned to his original course. The handkerchief is embroidered with the same leaf design as the one Jiles wears.

"Now how nice do you think it would be for you to get to the point of this confrontation?" Kite was always impatient with the 'Higher-ups'. "Fine fine, I would like you to deliver this package to the Queen of Underra. And Here," He dropped a few Gems into Kite's hand, "Is a gift from your Father." There was a silence as Kite began to return the Gems to the man, who refused to take them back. "He said to tell you to find Matecies. I suppose he means the Weapon and Armor smith." And with that the man stood up, and walked away. Kite fumbled the package around, and then set it gingerly into his pack.

Haruka stared down at the handkerchief and when she looked back up the man was already gone. She decided to take his word she walked a little father before she found an Inn. She would stay the night there. Once in her room she placed pulled the handkerchief out and wiped away the red paint. She examend her small wound and sighed well I managed to get into trouble when I first got here, great my uncles going to kill me! At least the wound isn't that bad it should heal in a couple of weaks or so. She then fell fast a sleep.

Jiles decided to reward himself for a job done with a slice of pie and some tea, with a generous helping of milk. After his pie he would head to Matecies', he needed some more arrows.

"Now, Where am I to find this Matecies?" Kite took to his feet and began searching the small area. There were only five or six huts, one of them had to be Matecies'

Anatos dried off with a cloth then he sat on a bench, a few minutes later a man sat on the other side of a bench and slid an envelope towards Anatos, Anatos picked it up and looked inside, there was enough money to buy a small boat the man stands up "Thank for your help, the shipment went as planned thanks to you." Anatos shoved the envelope in his pocket "A dangerous task to ship all of that 'cargo', wasn't one i enjoyed either. But money can make a man do anything, it was my pleasure." Anatos stood up and walked away, the man walked in the opposite direction

Jiles knocked on the door frame, announcing his presence, before entering. "Hey, Matecies, you in there?" The blacksmith was busy with another customer, but waved as Jiles entered. He leaned against the wall near the doorway while he waited. I should be able to get back to regular work now that the last of the humans have arrived. I should be able to get by with some broadheads, but I'll get a couple hammerheads just in case too.

"Then what do I do with these?" He said holding out the Gems. "Well, Kid you could take em next door and get a ring made.." Kite was never one for jokes. And especially hated being called 'Kid' "And what should make your shop better than scorning your customers and disrespecting them?" Maticies didn't even flinch at what was said. "Listen Kid, if you don't have official business here then I must IMPLORE that you get the hell outta my shop before officials are involved"

Re: Twilight World Rp
Seems like the stubborn sort. This could take a while. Jiles strode up to the counter and dropped a few coins before he picked up one of the gems without even looking at Kite. He held a hand up between Kite and himself forestalling and/or ignoring any retorts. "3 to 1, broads to hammers." He placed his quiver on the counter and removed the paint arrows. "And can I trade these for target arrows? 2 to 1 is fine." "3 to 1." "Fine fine. I just want to be rid of them." When Matecies picked the quiver up and moved to get the arrows Jiles turned to Kite. "If you're looking to exchange those for money, human, you won't get much more than that, for the whole lot of them I might add, from anyone else. Not until you've made a name for yourself, if you survive that long." He offered the stone back to Kite, if the human decided he didn't want to take the offer. Admittedly it wasn't much, but Jiles was a mercenary not some philanthropist.

"Thanks but no. I'll just head over to the next town. Surely this should award me something," He said holding the package carefully between his fingers. "I guess I'll go weaponless until after then."

Re: Twilight World Rp
Jiles put more coins on the counter and pushed the pile in easy reach of Matecies, for when he returned. "Just like that? Do you even know where the next town is? And there are people who will take everything you have, no matter how worthless, or even your life if that's all you've got. I don't know what you humans heard before you got here, but this isn't some utopia." He leaned his back against the counter, the tip of his sheathe scraping softly against the wood. "If you're planning on going anywhere you should get a weapon, even if that means shoveling dung, and gather a group. If you didn't happen to come with any friends then figure out some way to hire a few mercenaries. You're more likely to make it with your valuables intact with numbers on your side." He crossed his arms in front. "If nothing else you should ask your friend with the glaive. She seemed capable enough, plus she was actually armed."

"The elves can't be as brash as was said. Besides. It's only an easy days trip away." Kite could defend himself well enough. And of course he did have that ONE ability...."I think i'll take my chances. You can't expect people to just hand you what you need. If I am to have a sort of weapon it will be when I can afford one. Until then I will work as I must even if I have to give the queen her mail for the next four years."

Re: Twilight World Rp
Jiles clapped, "Well said." He picked up his quiver and waved goodbye to Matecies. "If you find yourself in need of an archer, human, look me up, assuming you've got the coin." He decided he would spend the rest of the day at the inn and head out for the next assignment in the morning. His arrows might need some sharpening and his bow could use some maintenance.

Re: Twilight World Rp
Haruko arose from her slumber hearing noises within the inn. Who could be checking in so late?she wondered. She crept from her bed curiouse as to who was out side. She cracked open the door careful to not make any sound. She peered out and saw the guy from earlier. She gasped then quickly covered her mouth so as to not make any more noise. What was he doing hear? Well it is an inn, but still....she thought.

Re: Twilight World Rp
Jiles's ears perked at the sound of a woman gasping. He stopped and glanced up at the window the gasp came from. It was the girl he shot earlier. She was wearing a look that made it seem as though she thought she was peeping on him. He blinked once and paid her no more mind as he checked in. He stopped outside her room for a brief moment, he wondered if she was pressing her ear to the door, waiting for him to walk past to open it and catch another glimpse of him. Humans, they do tell such fanciful tales of us, don't they? He considered slamming his fist into the door to give her a scare, but opted to just go on to his room instead.

Re: Twilight World Rp
Haruko heard the man walk past her room. She slumped down next to the door. She wondered if it was mear coincidence to meet this guy again. She then decided that in the morning be for he left she would thank him for the handkerchief that removed the red paint and return it to him. With that she crawled back in bed and tryed to go back to sleep.

He walked right into the inn and slammed his hands on the counter to get the attention of the Innmaster who was still dozing. "Names Kite, I am to be expected."
