I understand that's what you think. However, his real name is Squall, even in Kingdom hearts. For some reason he prefers an alias within both games. I haven't played any of the DS or PSP games, so I can't say this for sure.

Getting back on subject...

As for my favorite character, I can't really choose from up there. I'm not the biggest fan character wise, but I do happen to think if Rude was on the list I'd say he's cool. After all, he's voiced by Crispin Freeman in Advent Children.

Though I think that Hojo is pretty cool for being a creepy scientist.

I remember in the KH manga that Squall's name was actually "Leon". Officially however, Squall Lionheart is the actual naming of the character. Now, if I can ignore the trippy past, then Sephiroth is without a doubt, my favorite character in FFVII

Well, in total I believe the game is overrated and the characters are not exactly original. Except for Hojo maybe, he's kind of out there.

It's not that people give it more credit,but they really like the game and grow a fondness for it.Of course,not everyone is going to agree with their opinions(like you).Personally I like final fantasy.And I have to find that FF7 game...never played it -__-;;

Do I dare compare FFVII to Justin Bieber? Yes. Yes I do. Yeah good job repeating what everyone just said, I'm already aware that it is overrated, I was being sarcastic,I just cant believe how stupid the game gets at some points like the gold saucer and chocobo racing, to be honest I prefer RPG's that are more serious and darker, in fact aerith's diabetes sweet personality matches zack's happy go lucky personality that it makes me sick.

@Kaori: the edition: Dirge of cerberus os FF7 is, for what you just said, more "Serious and Darker"
