He put the pants on the boy, then looked around the empty deck.
"Doc should be here in a bit" He murmered and stood. "Can't believe the captain actually let Zwei help"
He left the boy laying in middle of the deck and walked over, and leaned agenst the rim of the ship. He pulled out a small flask of rum and took a drink of it.

an hour later Roberts boarded The Balmung and called Zwei and max into the captains quarters. Zwei needed a master, and Max needed to have his "Conference." he stocked his mapp away carefully before he allowed them in

He rolled his eyes and took another long drink from the flask.
"Nope, last time I saw him he was with the captain"
He rubbed the spot where Zwei had bumped into him and grumbbled a little.

Zwei: { as he's swapping the decks} * man...I hate this...if only they'd give me a chance I'd show them I can be a pirate...instead they have me on chore duty* { he hears the captain call him}...I wonder whats up { he sticks the mop in the bucket as he walks to roberts quarters}...you called me?

"Zwei, Barnabas is the only one besides me who hasn't taken an apprentice before. He is now your master." Max entered into the room, but Roberts didn't dismiss Zwei, nobody showed the captain disrespect. so Zwei was to stay and listen, "Name?" "Like i would tell scum like you"

He tilted his flask upside down, but all that came out was on lonely drop of rum. He sighed and turned over on his stomache.
"Why is the rum always gone?"

Roberts pulled his pistol out of his holster and placed it to Max's head, His face was so serious it seemed that the two might not leave The Balmung alive. "Name?" The boy gulped "it's Max." "Max i'll have you know disrespect on this ship is punishable by death. Just like Zwei's attempt at argueing."

Doc stood atop the forecastle watching the crew and making sure they didn't try to keep any of the loot as their own before the captain selected his share. It had happened before and he had performed "educational" measures. As Robert's second that was part of his job too. He looked on as a particularly nice house burned down and was reminded of a time when he would only have been able to blanch at these actions, now he was encouraging them.

He heard raised voices, two of the men had started arguing about something. They were allowed to have disagreements, yes, but not when it interfered with work. He uncrossed his arms and started walking towards them deliberately. They were lucky, he was in a good mood and one of them managed to notice Doc's approach and shut up right quick. "Do we have a problem?" "No sir." "Then stop shouting at one another and get back to your duties." "Yes sir." He returned to the forecastle. Would that have ended in a fight? Probably not, but he could risk no breakdown of discipline.

he got down from watching, and saw the captain with a new boy, pointing at him with his gun "Captain!, permission to rest.... a new boy?... hey did he insulted you?.."

Doc walked up behind Zack. "Zack. The Captain is in conference. Permission to rest, denied. Your shift is not yet over. Get back to the crow's nest. You are supposed to be looking for potential threats and prey, not looking for gossip." Doc's tone was civil and his volume controlled. Meaning he was either in a good mood or extremely pissed off about something. One meant Zack would get a second warning and the other meant Doc might break out the cat o'nine tails. And the former could easily become the latter if pressed.

"*Sigh* ok then.... i will keep in my place...." he walked to the crow's nest "When am i going to have a better place in this ship?"

"Max, you are under my direct tutelage, follow zwei and get a hammack made, Dismissed. oh and zwei, tell doc that i shan't be taking any share of the gold, Divide it amongst yeselves."

Seeing that Roberts's conference was over and the men had filed out Doc decided he needed to fulfill one of his duties. According to Zwei Roberts wanted nothing of the loot, which wasn't terribly unusual for him, but it was best to make sure the captain wasn't spiraling down mentally. It was his job to make sure the crew was in good shape, that included Roberts. And it wouldn't do anyone aboard this ship any good if the captain took leave of his own sense of self preservation.

"Barnabas, I need to speak with the captain. You've got the deck. Zwei, see that our new "recruit" makes it to my table before too long. It won't do to have your hand me downs go to waste." The orders given he went to the captain's door, gave his customary two knocks followed by a pause and two more before entering. "Captain, is everything shipshape?" He asked, straight to the point.

He walked back up to the deck and sighed.
"Alright"
He looked up at Zack to make sure that he wasn't going to sneek off now that Doc was gone.

"I already got my treasure if thats what you'e wondering," He held up a map, "This is it....we found it Doc...we found it"

"Are you sure?" Doc asked. At the man's nod his feet carried him swiftly over to Roberts's side to look at the map with him. "Do we make port to get supplies, or do we set off immediately?"
