Upon recent internet surfing, I happened to stumble upon this article, indicating the next main CoD game in the franchise, MW3. Details are scarce, but it appears as though Sledgehammer games, alongside with Infinity Ward, are at work on the campaign aspect of the game, while Raven Software work on the Multiplayer, and that the game will possibly see release in November of this year.

At the rate its going, the developers are gonna have to start calling it Modern Welfare 3.

I still say CoD 4 Modern Warfare was the best in the series as far as mp, and skill is concerned. In MW2 if you got some aircraft like a chopper, or something than you petty much got you a nuke. Also the perks, and guns were broken. Maybe they can follow Treyarch steps, and balance the next game.
