"As you seem to well know. I'm a thief, and while I don't rightly consider myself a bad person, overall, stealing from the rich to give to yourself certainly isn't something a pure hearted person would do. And you're a bloody knight how can one lit-" Kale's sentence was cut off by the tower knight's next series of attacks. "Hey! I'm trying to have a conversation here!" He glanced over at Alexis and then back at the tower knight. "Hey, you mentioned something about soul arts before. Can you do anything with that? You should have plenty of fuel." He gestured towards the bodies scattered about. "I think I can keep it occupied if you need time, but anything you can do to help with that would be wonderful." Kale tossed the bow and arrows aside, they hadn't done much anyways, and pulled out paired daggers.

He dashed towards the knight, blades glinting darkly with power as Alexis did something he didn't recognize. The blades seemed to be leaving an acrid smell in the air as he ran. He jumped onto the knight's leg. Just like that puzzle wall back home. He thought to himself as he climbed upwards, making hand holds with his blades as he climbed. Lifting himself up or letting go with one hand or the other to evade the tower knight's attempts to get rid of him. He started coughing with the exertion as he clamored up the back. Strange, if I didn't know any better I'd say I ingested something. He managed to jam a blade into the base of the knight's neck before getting slung off by a most ungentle swipe. Kale rolled as he hit the ground and got up just in time to evade a soul spear. Kale knelt as a coughing fit took over him. He took a closer look at his blade. He could feel it. There was a curse upon it, but he could also feel how much more powerful his blows had been. He looked up, taking note that he had left one of his now cursed blades in the tower knight. With some luck it would affect him just as it had affected Kale. He popped a few seeds in his mouth that he hoped would delay the effects of the curse's poison on his body.

"I do hope he lives long enough without the curse killing him" thought alexis, after all if he die's she suffers as well, she watched as kale dodged the towering monstrosity's attacks while she kept casting fire ball's, but then she sensed a phantoms presence nearby, "huh?" despite sensing it she somehow couldnt determine if it was a blue or black phantom, "I do hope blue" she thought as she continued her attacks against the tower knight....

meanwhile a phantom approaches....

The unused souls spiraled and absorbed into the approaching Phantom, her cloak falling to the ground as she raised a hand. "Homing.... Soul Arrow!!" Five orbs of power shot from her before each one unleashed a shot that tore into the Tower Knight. The Knight stumbled and turned to the Woman as she walked right up to the Demon. "Know your place! Fire Storm!!" Her hand hit the ground, a powerful conflagration engulfing them in its fiery embrace. When the flames cleared, the woman stood unharmed as Towel Knight fell to its knees. Its form dissolved into souls as she turned to look at the others, the souls absorbing into the Phantom even as she smiled. "Well, well... Living Heroes. Maybe this day won't be boring after all..."

Race: Phantom

Bio: A powerful, lone sorceress that had come to Boletaria along Sage Freke. After countless battles against powerful Demons, she ultimately became corrupted by power they wielded and sold out the Sage, causing his capture and confinement. During the trap that captured the Sage, he recognized her hand in it and gravely wounded her. She was finally killed by False King Allant when she tried to take his place as Demon Lord of Boletaria. She now waits to see if someone with the potential can help her to take him down and, ultimately, take his place. Even now, her corruption floats her between Blue and Black Phantom, causing her to sometime radiate a red/black aura for a moment or two from parts of her body.

Kale dropped the venomous dagger as soon as the tower knight was engulfed in the flames. "Finally Chuck what took you...so......long?" He stopped and stared at the newcomer. That's not Chuck. A coughing fit forced him to his knees. Think I'll just sit here a minute. "Hey, you don't happen to be pure of heart, do you?[/i] He asked, during a reprieve from the coughing. He crushed some leaves into a green almost paste like liquid before downing it. A couple of coughs later he started to feel much better. Well, let's hope she's not here to kill us, eh? "I'm Kale. I'd get up and shake your hand, but I need a bit of a breather after that. Who might you be?"

The woman chuckled as she walked up to him and touched his forehead. Life energy flowed through him, wiping away the remains of the Cursed Weapon's effect on him. "I am the Sorceress Namine' You've likely heard of me as the Sorceress that accompanied the Sage Freke to this land," she replied as she looked over the group, settling longest on Alexis. She could sense the power that one had. She had it... Potential. An amused smile crossed her face as she looked at the Demonbrandt and remembered the question. "Pure of Heart, huh?" She chuckled. I don't think I could be less 'pure' if I tried."

Chuck was hearing all what happened when he was hided in some rocks and he taked a peek, then he tried to walk off withouth being seen, then walked again to the scene, like if he were just getting to there "Well, well, look who is in here? the ones who let me alone with that ol' bastard and buried when im alive huh? well, well, what do we have here? Wow, a friend of yours?" chuck was taking a peek at the woman, then turning again to Kale with an angry look on his face "Well, What made you think of burying me alive!?" he stepped to him "You better give me a good answer, because i didn't waste almost all my energy on destroying that old king, im exausted, and i need rest"

"nice to see a fellow phantom", said alexis who then turned to chuck "chuck if you fall asleep again we might mistake you for dead so for now just sit with your eyes open and your heart beating, so you seek to kill the false king? Well that might be a problem because that gate wont open unless one of us has killed an arch demon" she pointed to the gate engulfed by fog, however I suggest we loot the area and see if we can find something useful" and with that they began looting the area while they let chuck rest, they found a map however that lead to the tower of latria and written on it are detailed instructions to get there"so sage freke must be there, lets get moving then I dont like burning daylight" with that they began their journey to the tower of latria.

He sat there watching them leave"shall I pursue them?" asked the gloom armored man "yes yurt, follow them" replied the masked woman, the man is known as yurt the silent chief a skilled warrior and assassin......

Bio:Nobody even knew of his existence until he was caught stealing from the king, he quickly and rather easily, escaped the dungeon. he is now a wanted criminal with a high bounty on his head, he likes to keep his chin up, and look on the bright side of things, but occasionally doubts himself.

"well...that was a complete and utter failure -Sigh- i should pick targets more carefully...," He traveled the road silently as he spoke, perhaps it was his training, perhaps it was his fear, either way, the man took care to hide his presence. Then something caught his eye, a bunch of travelers it seemed. He hid in the nearby bushes and watched their movements, the one on the ground he chose to be his target.

"Had to ask. And thanks for that, by the way." He said standing and stretching. He was surprised at how quickly she had banished the poison.

Kale took a deep breath and narrowed his eyes. "One, not my idea. Two, we just killed the tower knight, y'know the one guarding the tower? The tower that you want to go to so terribly badly. So it would behoove you to be a little more appreciative. Three, you can decimate demons, on your own, I'm but a mere mortal with a penchant for doing stupid things and I somehow managed to survive fighting that guy, you should have had no trouble." He turned to Alexis and Namine. "And last, but not least, why is it that every woman in this place is a phantom!?" Kale shouted that last question before stomping off to pick up a bow and a quiver of arrows, it never hurts to be prepared after all.

Once they were on their way Kale took his duster and bag from Alexis. "Thanks for carrying those for me." He said as he pulled them both on. "So, this tower of Latria. What horrors await us there?" He held the demonbrandt in one hand, it was heavier than what he usually used but he might be able to get it to work even if he couldn't get it to rouse. "And Alexis, what did you do that night?" He held the sword up meaningfully. "I promise I won't judge." He promised before returning his gaze to their surroundings. Not that it's done much good yet, but surely my paranoia will be rewarded sooner or later.

He took this moment to strike, he began walking towards the oncoming group and bumped into chuck, "Ah sorry, i should watch where i'm going" within seconds he was once again hidden in the brush, "This...This is a lot simpler...but i gotta say, that man was pretty poor..."

"where do you think you're going thief?" asked alexis as she snuck up behind him "he may be poor but its his property, and how did you get here anyway? There arent many like you thats still sane or at least knows good sanitation." the spectral knight simply awaited his answer.

Meanwhile in the tower of latria the great sage freke was carving away when he sensed a very familiar presence "alexis?" he though as he remembered his favorite pupil, "I do hope she's alright..." his train of thought was interrupted by the sight of the hideous squid headed mind flayer walking across the hallway.....

"Waah! what the- what the hell are you?" He didn't seem to want to answer this entities questions, but he did to his own amusement, "the same as you did, i walked, And who are you calling theif? i took nothing of yours"

"on the contrary he's my personal monkey and whatever he owns I own" replied the stern phantom "if you like you might as well join us, after all you dont want to run into a black phantom now would you?".

"ah, how do you know of that," He tried to grab her shoulders but walked right through her, "i'm goin insane, things like this don't just happen on a daily basis!" he suddenly slapped himself, "C'mon get ahold of yourself, maybe if i ignore it will fade back into my imagination...."

"Dont tell me you came here to boletaria without knowing whats going on did you?(SIGH) well let me explain: the kingdom's been overrun by the demonic horde following the old one and now those who havent died went mad or became demons, oh and you cannot escape boletaria due to the fog, but if you wish to go alone then I dont mind, just dont come crying to the professional's for help." she then turned around took chuck's belongings back and walked through the tree's leaving the thief dumbfounded.

"Ah, you stole from me! Thief!" He didn't bother chasing after the entity though, he knew there was no reason to really follow, but taking his hard earned money like that....it almost made him smile, whoever this being was, he liked her. The gutsy attitude, the eyes of a warrior, and a tongue that could strike almost as strongly as a blade....Just his type of woman, "Ah, wait! what drives you to trust some petty Thief so suddenly? you act as though you know our code, or at least know somebody who knows our code..."

"kale roseless is a thief and my partner, the other phantom is namine, the other knight over there is roy siegfried,and the monkey picking its nose over there is chuck, lets just say that we need numbers which is why I'm inviting you."

"Kale..i've heard that name somewhere, ah probably doesn't matter, and you would be?" does she not understand that i could assassinate them in their sleep....yet so simply she turns her back to me, not something a trained warrior would do....Is it that she trusts me? or is it that she cannot be killed? oh i shouldn't forget that she could be an idiot..."Do you understand the consequences of such an action?"

"yes but if you do that how will you get out? If you die you just end up like me and if you run you'll be lost."

"Well by accepting me you take on the burden i carry, we are all now wanted fugitives! whoo! let's go share the good news with everyone else, as far as the law is concered, you all stole from the king and broke out of jail! did i mention today was such a nice day? it seems i'm overspeaking, when i get worked up i overspeak and cause myself to sound- i'm just gonna shut up now..."
