Bed sheet ;P
And yeah, i have to admit it's freaking funny, after all if i liked Big Bang Theory it's because it was indeed funny and full of amazing jokes...but i overall hate the extreme popularity it's having, with people simply thinking it's "funny and geek" and yet they understand nothing X_X The kind of humor and jokes in Big Bang Theory are quite "specific"...meaning, not alot of people are going to get it, and yet it's suddenly like everyone has been watching it and loving it for so long, and can fully understand a joke about the M-Theory or a Trekkies convention; i can bet so many current BBT watchers don't even know what Star Trek is. The show itself is awesome...but the popularity it's getting is horrible XP
It really pisses me off when people don't know anything about Star Trek, but act like they do.
 Me= Huge Trekkie!
That's why I get mad easily at things like this.

I don't see how people can compare the two sense there almost completely different. Except for the fact that they have to do with space and the word Star in there name. You know I bet you haven't even watched Star Trek.

Does anyone like Stargate? I love The original movie and Stargate Atlantis. Sg-1 is okay and I couldn't even make it through the first episode of SGU. The movies were good also.

I love the original Stargate movie. Other than that I have never really watched too much of the show. I am a Star Wars fan of the movies but they dont give me a stiffy like most people, and I have neevr seen any Star Trek media just because there is a lot to follow. I do want to see the new movie though.

Hah! All those shows have a blatantly obvious 'star' flung into the title at some point!
How original!Totally not indicative of a seventies attitude to anything space related!
They've got nothing on my Battlestar Gala-

Every movie, episode, and special. I never finalize judgement on something until I've actually experienced it. Star Wars is just better and well known. :P

Battlestar Galatica was good, but I got bored with it after awhile.

While I do like Battlestar Galactica, I'm seemingly more concerned about whether people got my joke...

I got a question:
How would you react, if, by any case a good member becomes a Mod. and suddendly, that same member turns out being a Spam-Bot?

I'd laugh at just how freaking drunk, high or joking d5t must've been to promote a spambot member to Moderator, despite ALL of the conditions and requirements needed to simply be CONSIDERED to the Moderator position.
That, or i'd be amazed at just how the heck a spambot was able to fulfill all of those conditions, even to the point of surpassing everything i've done (including posting, PMing, making actual discussions and keeping a good interaction with all members and staff)...and i'd assume the end of humanity and the beginning of the cybernetic revolution against humans is nearby. A "spambot" of that kind would no longer be a mere scripted program...but a freaking fully-functional AI able to learn, interact, grow and surpass its own creator.

Either way, assuming such human-overtaking technology hasn't reached the internet yet, the situation you're asking for is impossible. You really have NO IDEA what a member requires to be a Mod, or how even the Admins consider if it's time for a new Mod or not >3>

d5t would have to be on crack. Something that continually talks about shoes and sales, probably isn't going to be a mod.

@Sorrow- So... what pray tell be the requirements? I've been intrigued about the moderator position ever since you were promoted, though I do realize just how difficult it is to achieve said position, and how much work it entails.

...Do you want me to tell you the requirements to become a Mod, in such a public and easily-viewable place where certain members might attempt to copy them and replicate them as much as possible, even if they're fully aware they'll never achieve such status but are stubborn and bored enough to attempt it regardlessly? .-. lol
I'll just tell you though...there isn't THAT much work to do as a Mod in itself, and overall what matters the most as a Mod is not the kind of work you do, but the responsibility you've accepted to take and mantain; not to just make sure to delete spambot posts or move topics from wrong sections to the right ones, that's just the "basic/obvious" work and trust me, you aren't promoted to such a position and given so much responsibility, "power" and even "prestige", just to clean up forums, even if that's what i seem to do the most XD lol

You know, "dothackers.net" is actually one of the MOST important and relevant forum sites on the internet (at least in english) when it comes to .Hack and CC2 information, ONLY SECOND to "dothack.com" in a mere "dothack" Google search, and that one site is DEAD, a freaking wasteland that only remains on top thanks to its domain name. Our site itself is the source of so many .Hack information spread all around the english-speaking internet, including new releases, videos, guides, and walkthroughs (thanks to members such like Zer0, Master ZED, and (Phantom) Thief, to name a few). Not to mention that this site (the Staff, mainly) is the ONLY ONE in charge of the .Hack//LINK localization campaign, and it hasn't been the only project of such "magnitude"...we've had interviews with creators and english dubbers as well. So yeah, we're pretty much on top of everything in .Hack around here.
Now, imagine that one day you have the responsibility to keep order, control and "peace" of such a website of so much importance, so many widely-recognized members, and so much recognition on the internet. Imagine that you have to be the one to make sure everything is going well, members are good and nice to each other (minus a couple exceptions...but hey, we can't rule a kingdom with a bit of blood every here and there. lol), discussions go well and anyone can browse freely without having to see 3-4 month-old spam posts or flame wars in around 7 different topics. Imagine that it's all up to you to make sure new members find these boards attractive, suitable to their likes and able to find whatever they were looking for (except if it's "trouble" or "forced popularity"), as well as to keep it attractive, interesting and even fun to old members...and to make sure overall that the forums live up to its position as one of the most important .Hack sites.

THAT is what it means to be a Moderator. And yeah, no current-technology spambot could ever be able to prove themselves worthy enough to take on such responsibility, no matter how many "inspirational" rambles it can make per day, and how many people can reply to them.

@Sorrow- I had a pretty good feeling that the position of moderator on a site as far forward as this would entail having a
ton of responsabilities relating to site upkeep, especially given it's current standing as THE LEADING dothack fansite.
It won't stop me from dreaming though.

@sorrow so uh have you and the other moderators figured out as to where the spambots are coming from or what caused them to appear?

What would be the best metal in group 1 that will work well with water? I know the metal Na can do damage, but does any other ones work better? Also how could I obtain some? I got a few experiments I want to do.
