Megaman Online
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast

For it is the number of a man; and his number is... 666

Re: Megaman Online
Looks interesting, but I won't be satisfied with Megaman until there's an X9 and it finishes the plot of that sub series forever, and be explicit about it (as in references of things to come in the Zero series). Other than that this may be something to actually look forward to.

"sub series"!!?? Megaman X was WAY better than the old stuff. Both story wise and gameplay wise. Admittedly when they took it 3D they ruined the gameplay, but everything up to X6 was still a sidescroller.
After watching that video though, there's a few things I take issue with.
1. Dash jumping isn't possible. It was extremely useful for jumping off walls long distance.
2. Spikes are no long an instant kill.
3. Charge shots take MP...
4. Enemies don't hurt you just by touching you.
Besides all that, he had a triple aerial charge buster right from the get go. Normally you'd expect him to need the Armor Buster for something like that. Also he had mid-air dashes.
Something I'm wondering now though, since it's an online game, will custom characters be an all important option?

Re: Megaman Online
I never said it wasn't good. I call it a sub-series simply because it is, it's not the main series that title goes to Mega Man. It's the best sub series and even surpasses the main series for me, but that doesn't change what it is. I just want it over because they clearly aren't doing anything with it beyond this online game, and I'd rather it not drag on forever doing nothing in regards to the overall plot of the series (meaningless as it should be for this type of game, it's there and should be dealt with) as MM 10 shows me that's all the original MM intends to do. I want one last game that wraps everything up paving the way for the Zero sub series as X5 and X6 were doing before Capcom decided to continue things and leave us hanging.Erranty wrote:"sub series"!!?? Ah, you mean that "Legenday Hero" story that was mentioned in Megaman Legends. This makes me wonder what the timelines are.
Megaman > Megaman X > Legendary Hero Arc (Zero) > Megaman ZX > Megaman Legends?
Megaman > Megaman X > Legendary Hero Arc (Zero) > Megaman ZX > Megaman Legends?

Re: Megaman Online
So far that is the correct order. X takes place a few centuries after the original. Zero takes place 200-500 years after X. I believe ZX is a few centuries later as well, and then Legends is many centuries, possibly millenia later, nobody knows.Erranty wrote:Ah, you mean that "Legenday Hero" story that was mentioned in Megaman Legends. Im not certain on those gaps, its just my take on the chronology.

Re: Megaman Online
I intentionally leave out the one where they were handheld AI programs since it wasn't worth licensing as megaman media.
Re: Megaman Online
That's an alternate universe where robots weren't the focus and leads us to Star Force replacing the X series or something along those lines.
Only the first 3 EXE games were worth anything, that whole thing can **** itself after that.

I second this.
Why Capcom scrapped the perfectly okay style system for 'BOARDGAEMSINCYBAHSPACEW000000!!!' I may never understand...
