I never played it, so now is a good time as any. Still waiting for a release date.

And for the first time in a while I can actually say I'm happy. I hope they redo EP as well for completion's sake and that this is localized (EP as well if that comes to be).

Might as well bump this topic.

Im surprised not that many people have posted on it. I thought there were some big Persona fans here.

Well, I WOULD be MUCH happy with that news if:
1- I had a PSP
2- An english version of Innocent Sin was announced =T

I'm certain that save a few they only liked (and possibly only ever played) 3 and 4 and those that tried 1 were all "BAAAWWW I CAN'T HANDLE GAMES FROM 1996 THAT FEEL LIKE THEY WERE MADE IN 1996! WHERE MAH SOCIAL LINKZ AT I NEEDZ MAH VISUAL NOVEL DESU!"

But maybe I'm just judging fans exclusive to P3 and 4 in general and harshly at that.

Glad to hear it. I can only hope there's a localization but honestly am not overly concerned as I would be say, ten years ago.

I think there is a strong chance that this will be localized. I doubt Atlus would make 1 and 3 for US and then completely pass off IS AGAIN for us, especially how nice we American fans of the SMT series have been to Atlus' wallet.

I dont mind it. Besides its not like I plan on watching it all the time. I plan on playing the game for how it plays. And dont worry...from what i here, you can choose between the old soundtrack, or the new one they are making for the psp version.

There isn't an announcement for it to be localized, but I'm almost certain that they would. We have Persona and P3P. Atlus wouldn't pass this up. It's money in the bank for them.

While I agree the opening is "meh" at best I'm appreciative that it at least isn't attempting to drop "memento mori" or "cogito ergo sum" (at least as far as I can tell, I'm hampered by not being able to read Japanese) that though relevant to the series (the former more for 3) really just seemed to be there so people would spout "OMG SOOOO DEEP \^___^b" But I'm sure a raving Otaku will look at some actions beyond masks and chaining Maya up and see something like the flower being dropped into the water and shout "UWWAAAAA SYMBOLISM!!" like a retarded apeman of sorts. (Yes I am overly harsh on this, I just don't like a walking TVTropes page (or wikipedia article) barging in and screaming at me at what represents what when in truth I just want to knock out  Hitler's teeth outside of Castle Wolfenstein or Bionic Commando for once.) That and fight what I consider the series' main antagonist while it isn't attached to someone or just being hinted at.

Let it be known I liked the original intro a lot more though. Diverting from that, if what's being said is true about having the old OST then I'm happy to hear that. It may not have been that great but it's what I'm used to.

Glad to see the best Persona game getting spotlight again.

I hope they don't replace the original battle themes with random J-pop like Persona 1, I want updated remixes dammit.

Scroll down for the original and remixed versions of Philemons theme. I think they did a great job on the remake of it.

I like both versions but it should be said the new one seems to just be an arranged version of the old. Now if the other tracks are like this then it's good for the most part, I don't see it as necessary to change the entire soundtrack like they did with P1.

Now I found Persona PSP's OST to be good and I understand changing it (just like they changed the world map)... but I don't see why I don't get a choice between tracks especially when some of the new ones I find to really have butchered important events. Particularly the last fight's first form in particular.

Spoilers: Original:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsEKboKY3rQ

New: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAa1mL_YLCc

What I felt to be an unnerving track matching the boss' appearance is more or less ruined in the new version.

Now I'm ranting, I'm glad I have this choice is what I want to make clear, but I'd like the new ones to have some similarity or at the very least carry the same feel of events the songs are used in. But it says in the link that they are in fact just rearrangements, I really hope it's true.
