Yeah...I'm kind of shocked myself, but just recently, several photos of a hinted "PSP" phone prototype were revealed. Developed by Sony Ericsson, this new device seems to be the next descendent of the older generation PSP. It's rumored to run on an Android 3.0 operating system, have multi-touch touchscreen abilities, a possible camera, and a screen size similar to the PSPGo, which in this sense, isn't too far off from a PSPgo itself. The internal specs, according to the rumors, include a 1GHz CPU, 512 MB of RAM, and 1GB of ROM. This information has yet to be claimed as valid, but this is certainly quite the shock if this system is brought to the light. I for one, would be disappointed if it were true. Thoughts and or comments?

Re: Introducing, The Playstation...Phone?
So, it would be pretty much a PSPGo, that now completely functions as a cellphone as well, with a few features and thingies modified a little so it can work as a phone properly?
Well, i'm personally not a "cellphone" person at all, i have a 3-year-old cellphone that i use like once per week at most, i rarely call people myself, and if i send any messages it's for telling my mom i'm going early to school or going to arrive late. So, it's not like i know (or honestly, care) about any specs this might have, about if it runs Android or not (i see in the comments that people are all "YAYZ ANDROID!!!"...i just know what that is because of my friends, and again, i couldn't care less about it), or about if they're any competitive for the current top cellphones.
Viewing this in a general point of view though, it doesn't look bad. The PSPGo sucked because you couldn't use UMDs and controls were horrible for most games, but having it work as a cellphone makes it better and gives it more functionality than just as a bad console. Of course, this is assuming it's ACTUALLY going to work as a PSPGo, at least with downloading/playing games, and not just a cellphone that looks like one yet you can't play actual PSPGo games....in that case it's just another generic cellphone, with an added "game controller" that'll be only good for doing a few things without having to poke the screen but it's overall useless :/
I don't think i'd buy it myself anyhow, mostly because i'm sure it'd be DARN HARD AND EXPENSIVE to get around here in my country, and it would be a real waste considering how much i'll actually use it for. If i could get one for free or something though, i'd love to have it just to show off that i can talk and send messages from my PSP XDD Lame. lol

Like most Playstation consoles, I'll probably end up buying it if there is a Metal Gear game released for it. Otherwise, I'm not terribly excited about it.
Re: Introducing, The Playstation...Phone?
Its a fake, don't even bother worrying about it.
1. PSP's have a joy-nub, brightness button, sound button, volume buttons, W-LAN switch, all of which are missing.
2. "The PSP phone is rumored to have a 1Ghz CPU, 512MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM. Screen size is said to be 3.7-inch to 4.1-inch." This just screams NO, the PSP wouldn't be given a 1Ghz processor, its completely unnecessary and would KILL battery life when playing games.
3. Notice how in this image the UI buttons are referred to as A & B? Yeah, sony doesn't do that.

Well Erranty, it's technically "not" a PSP according to the availiable information that has been found. It's more of a cellular device with gaming capabilities, than a pure bred next generation PSP, and yes, that screenshot does raise even more questions as to weither this is reality in the works or a simple mirage of some sorts.

Re: Introducing, The Playstation...Phone?
So, has there been any news about this one? Or any more clues about how real/fake this is?
After these images were "released", there's been ALOT of websites posting them as news, like the PSPhone was a true reality and these were the leaked images and that it's going to run Android and all that. Of course, all of the "websites" are blogs, like Engadget and such, and none of them cite any official source or anything...just covering too much in the fact that it's a "super secret information that no one should know about it and no one will say anything officially" >->;
It wouldn't be the first time they lie about a "PSPhone" though. A mere Google search about the Playstation Phone will show you THOUSANDS of results about so many different kinds of PSPhone devices, all of them looking like hybrids between a PSP and different kinds of cellphones, and dating back since like 2008 or so O_<' ...And while some had their ridiculous and impossible details, none of them showed a screen that told you to press A or B. lol
