'Der Unterkönig' is German for 'The Underking', and is also my custom status. Just because I feel like going into the origins of this in a little bit more depth, I've even prepared a discertation for you guys to read :>

This was originally started off by something I saw in MMBN3 (Megaman Battle Network 3) being one of the sprites for the undernet super-navis. I thought it was an epic design, so I adopted and modified it.
In effect, it's a custom-generic sprite, seeing as all that's really changed is the colour/ mouth.
Moving on from this, I thought that, at some point, the underking (Serenade, then Megaman after BN3) would have had to relinquish their title, seeing as after BN3, the 'underking' is never mentioned, an no-one in the undernet treats megaman as if he was their 'king', so to speak (This is understandable though, seeing as the true 'underking' megaman dies at the end of BN3).
Then I came up with the idea that the undernet went through a series of upgrades and 'improved versions' - don't ask how or why - causing the BN3 Undernet, along with the ranking system therein to disappear - hence the reason why the underking's domain is an endless sea of non-existence; it's effectively deleted data that no-one knows about.
Going further into the 'underking's' backstory in particular; during the break between BN3 and BN4, I decided to suggest that the Gigfreeze program used by Megaman and Bass - after being discarded - was found and downloaded by another suitable navi, one which is controlled by an undernet operator. This operator - somehow managing to wield the program - then proceeded to fight his way through the undernet, destroying vast areas of it with little difficulty, before eventually reaching the Serenade, the previous underking. Serenade had recently regained the title of underking after the death of the original megaman, and now fought this new foe in order to protect the title of underking... however, the navi knew more than just the gigfreeze program, and quite literally tore serenade to pieces. The navi then recieved the kingdata, enabling it to be seen as the true 'underking', it's blue colour reflecting the 2nd generation king's (megaman's) colour scheme. However, the undernet was seen as damaged beyond repair, and by the time that the events of BN4 took place, it had been scrapped and completely remodelled, the underking vanishing with it.
The fact that this 'underking's' title is now in german represents that the title is not as new as it once was, and has an almost archaic feel to it, while still being an evident denotion of abnormal levels of power. Hence, 'Der Unterkönig' now waits in the darkness of the ex-undernet, hoping for someone to battle with, or someone to free him - and his 'prison' - from the darkness that they have been confined to.


tl;dr - My sig/ avi/ custom title are all based off of a sort of filler fanfiction of the battle network series.


EDIT: I also thought about my username when considering this set; no-one knows who the 'Unterkönig' is aside form those who he has defeated in combat, hence because no-one can ever access his data - seeing as it's contained within an inaccessible part of the web - he will forever remain anonymous; nobodyknows who he is.

I was reading Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics at the time and of the Endless I liked Death the most. The words are part of a poem that is supposedly the closest any human has coming to properly defining Death.
