.hack collection ps3

Post by DoctorN »

weve all seen many compilations of ps2 ames for the ps3 lately. any ideas on when well get like a .hack collection containing all the stories on one disc (with the ability to use data flags or import from a ps2 memory card still) in hd widescreen (lol) and maybe fragment (maybe they would put it in there, but i dont know). wouldnt that sound cool?

Don't hold your breathe. Firstly, the .hack// series isn't popular enough to re-release on the Playstation 3 and make any kind of a profit from it. Secondly, the games themselves don't really warrant an HD re-release either. God of War and the Team ICO games were notorious for their impressive visuals and Shadow of the Colossus especially has been a game that many have wanted to see in high definition. While not uninteresting, the art direction for the .hack// games was nothing remarkable and it wouldn't gain much from being rendered in high definition. You're better off just staying content with the games you have for the Playstation 2, because the chances you're going to see them on the PS3 is virtually zero unless CyberConnect has said something of which I am unaware.

Couldnt Cyberconnect make a new form of .hack instead? Like instead of an RPG they could use the game engine they use for their naruto games.(.hack//PVP)

I guess this pretty much answers the question:
Q(Jun): Can you make a VS series like ".hack//Ultimate Ninja"?
A: Sorry. We can't.

id perfer they remake the original .hack games and have it through the perspective of another character with gameplay outside of "the world" as well (like through the eyes of blackrose or balmung or someone)

.hack isn't popular by any means. It's more like you either really like it or you dislike it. That and the story is more personal bs with crappy gameplay attached to it. If anything, the series would be better redesigned for the mobile phones seeing as it has the episodic feature. The only thing I can say that everyone (fan or not) will say it has an interesting lore and great visuals.

Either way in a few years PS2 emulator ROMs will be as prevalent as PSX ROMs.

Pfft, I still can't find a Rock em' Sock em' Robots ROM for the PSX, so that doesn't speak much about that.

That speaks more to your incompetence in finding ISOs than it does the availability of ISOs. I was able to find your game the first time in about 10 seconds and then two more times on two different websites after reading your post. So yes, in a few years PS2 ISOs will be just as prevalent as PSX ISOs.
