So they just finished the sub, the company that was built to do so has disbanded, and its being released. Don't expect English DUB till next year. In the mean time, they're putting it out free.
The subs are pretty darn good, the visuals a beautiful, and they cut through most of the first few episodes where Shiro summons Saber in mere minutes.

Oh, and only the 480p has subtitles at the moment.

I watched it a few days ago. I wasn't that happy with the movie for quite obvious reasons. Perhaps too many fights and not enough story take away from the whole experience. Reminds me of the X/1999 Movie.

Yes, but they're assuming its main audience is the Fate fanbase. The fans that've read the stuff, watched the anime, and learned the story.

It would make more sense to make it geared towards those who have played the visual novel. I viewed the Fate Stay Night anime and I know some of the visual novel story. I have never actually read or played...however you are supposed to address a visual novel. I found it rather pointless to try and understand the story at times. There's too much cut out for the sake of most of the fight scenes.
I'm still not sure what they were thinking when they made it. It had a lot less character development.
I'm sure it's entertaining on a stand alone merit, but it leaves a lot unexplained. It also moves a little too fast. I make reference to the X/1999 movie because I have watched X/TV and read up to the manga before the hiatus occurred. I still didn't get why the movie moved so fast in that case either.

I still haven't read either UBW or HF route but it was hilariously bad. At the very least it seems like Lancer's seem was kept intact. Although I thought it would've been more epic since it's suppose to be Lancer's crowning moment of awesome. Basically, plot got thrown out the window and all you have are flashy fight scenes. Even then they managed to butcher Shirou's last fight. He was yelling his lines instead of calmly saying it which was less badass. Goldy going melee looked stupid. Seriously, him charging with dual wield was hilarious.
There was only one really good fight, and most of it was due to the background music. I was looking forward to a full Saber vs Assassin duel but they cut that out completely.
