.hack//BeYoND (RP and first attempt at a .hack RP thread.)

"Fairly well still got you killed" Friend said grinning like a fool. "And no, it's not the other players... well it kind of is..." He smiled and continued walking. "But I'm not being bullied or anything. They're all just stupid nowadays. PKers everywhere. When I first joined there were fun events, like the name changing event! Werewolves were nice treats too." As they walked into the next room, battle mode went up. "This area's rumored to have a legendary Staff, but I'm here on work. I was thinking about keeping the staff, but..." He launched Wryneck Pha, "I was thinking of keeping it and giving them the crap that comes with all dungeons."

It took a while, but they took down the terrible beast, without dying one might add. "At the same time though, I'm almost maxed out as far as GP goes." Friend shrugged and looked to Kas. "Do you just play this game for the new kids?"

"True true, but I don't play to fight other players. And no, it's not just for new players. The World holds many secrets that baffle even the administrators, believe it or not. I'm hoping to come across something like that. Also, I reminisce a lot, which is why you've probably seen me hanging around the bridge of Mac Anu. Ah, a golden egg." Kas stopped to pick up the grunty food. "I'm impressed that you've managed to accumulate such wealth. I've never even come close, of course I've never tried to get rich here. So, are you getting paid to get the staff or just clear the dungeon?" They had gotten through to the third floor when they came across another pair of enemies, one of which liked to resurrect the other. And the other, when it wasn't knocking Kas around like a rag doll, liked to cast healing spells. It was slightly more tedious, but they got through it alive, if only just. For their trouble they got a spear, unfortunately the data was corrupted so it was impossible to tell which spear and it wouldn't allow him to equip it. It should clear up when they got back to town, if not he'd just have to trash it. "Well, that's annoying, but I guess this too is one of the secrets of The World."

Calamity and Data teleported to Darkness, Shrouded, Holy Ground. True to it's name, the area was dark and rainy over an entire grassy field. He opened up his item menu and used a Fairy Orb, which highlighted the entire field and saw that there was no less then twenty monster portals scattered around the field. He switched his view over to third person so both players were in his vision.

"Let's start clearing these monsters from the field. It will be the quickest way for you to level up. And don't worry, remember you have your party to heal and restore you."

Calamity then hit mute as curse words came from his lips, he had forgotten to go shopping himself. He probably had enough items (especially resurrects) to survive this area, or not, still there was a few tricks just in case, but hopefully they didn't need to be used.

Calamity unmuted and said, "Let's get going."

"You really are a nice guy, but fiesty too, that's what makes you such a valuable ally."Friend shook his head, "I was sent to this area to see if there was a rumored staff. If there is, I get double pay. So long as I relinquish it." He grinned, "But I've always been a rare staff collector, so I'll give them a staff that looks rare." As they had fought against the demonic duo Friend mostly supported Kas, healing him, and spamming spells on the monster that cast Rip Mean.

"I have a glitch staff too!" He smiled widely, "It was on my ninth job, I was looking for some stupid Katana and all of a sudden a chest drops this weird staff, totally unequippable even to this day, so I've kept it. It's called G&#$Y S+^?f." Friend continued smiling and looked to Kas. "It looks like we're almost to the statue. But...we still have another set of monsters, so are you ready? Let's go out with a boom!"

"Yeah, this spear's G@ 03@R9. I have another that wouldn't let me trash it in my box called G@ B#0h3." Kas looked behind them, he had an uneasy feeling. He'd gotten them before, as a knight, and it usually came preceding a fight with a data bug, but he always knew about them then. Maybe the pks were just about to catch up with them or something.

He shook away the thought and patted his cheeks. "Alright, let's do this."
((Well, we'll probably be taking a sprite ocarina up to the surface in a second and joining y'all. In the mean time, have fun with the over leveled monsters.))

((Is it still ten levels over the highest player? Cause if so, Data's got no chance and with Calamity's lack of items... there's a good chance of dying before Friend and Kas do.))

Friend cracked his knuckles as they entered the next room, but to their dismay there was only a treasure chest in the center of the room. "What? No way! We only fought against three monsters?" Friend's pc remained motionless and he whispered something. "Talk about anti-climatic...Oh well at least we don't die before we get the treasure!" he grinned his trademark grin and entered the final room.

"Yeah, the staff's max level." Friend said equipping it. "Whoa! It has Death! An it's even got Both Drains...but it lowers defense a whole lot." He continued examining the staff. "I'm keeping it, Reaper's Scepter...has a "dark" ring to it." Friend smiled as he activated the Sprite Ocarina.

"It was nice working with you, let's party up again soon." Friend smiled and waved Kas off.

"Alright" she said rushing up to a monster. She paused for a moment.
She had no idea how to fight. She quickly started smashing buttons on the controller.

<<Actually what level SHOULD it be on? It's not level 47 if that's what you're asking, so what would be a good level for someone like Data to level up without her dying alot? Also I said enough items, Calamity isn't lacking nor is he drained, he just fills it up as a habit.>>

A Chaotic Golem with one eye designed in a bizarre style appeared from the portal. It roared and dashed at them swinging it's giant arms. Calamity blocked both of them with his blades.

"His weak spot of his back. I'll keep his attention while you hit it with your Double Sweep.

((Well, I suppose if Tack wants it to be different it can be, it is his rp after all. But Kas and Friend are both level ridiculous which is why I opted for Delta server to have a ridiculous field. But once again Tack can change things as he likes, if he wants he could say that CCcorp. found too many data bugs in the area and locked it, thus booting the players, or they leveled it down to be safe for the Deltas. Another thing you could do is say the monsters scale to whoever activated the portal.))

"Agreed. Shoot me a message if you need a hand, or just go check the bridge. I'm usually there when I'm on." He said as their party was disbanded. He could hear the sound of combat not too far off and decided to stroll over there, if it happened to be those pks again he'd see if they needed another lesson in pain if not, well he might decide to help them. As the fight came into view he saw the redheaded newbie from earlier. Can't believe she decided to come to this field. He slowly walked their way, keeping a nonthreatening distance as he watched the fight.

Tack jumped back and allowed the Chaos Golem's fist to collide with the ground causing the ground to shake, detail from CC Corp's programmers. He opened up his item list and used a speed scroll+ on Data and then himself. Data hadn't been hit... yet. In fact, so far the plan was working and Data was slowly draining the beast's HP. He leaped at the beast keeping it's attention hoping that it would be enough to give Data time...

Friend logged back into Mac Anu and walked gleefully to the back alley where he met his client. "Here's the staff..." He traded him Staff of Truth for the GP he was promised. "Whoa! A level 95 staff? In Mac Anu?!" Friend nodded, "I know right? It's so weird!" Friend smiled and turned to wave his client off, "Remember to give me a call whenever you need my services!" He walked off back to the Chaos Gate and warped to Dun Loireag. He picked a nice cozy field and laid down for a nap.

Kas sat cross legged with his spear balancing across his knees to watch the rest of the fight. As it was unlikely any random monsters were going to show up and maul him to death, and those pks seemed to have decided to seek easier prey, Godfrey got up and prepared some tea for himself while his pc sat unmolested.

Calamity jumped back as the golem took yet another swing at him. He opened his equipment and switched to a different set of blades, just in case things got rough and he needed to step in. However Data was coming close shaving the rest of the golem's HP, so it seemed it wouldn't be too much could happen unless a wandering monster ambushed them, still..."

"Data, use your skills to finish it off."

Calamity watch as the creature gave a final cry and hit the ground causing it to shake. Experience points appeared above both of them along with a chime that Data had went up a few levels. Hey typed /nod.
