D. cast a sleep spell on the soldiers, if the kid survived his ordeal with the demonic king he'd be stronger for it, and if not then D. would be coming back for Czerny shortly. D. stepped through the portal after getting one last report from his unseen servant, which then dissipated.

"So, who was the brat?" D. asked the witch after exiting the other side of the portal.

Juto: { he readies his blade}

King: RAAAHHH! { dashes across the floor at juto}

Juto: { runs at the demonic king and blocks a hard hit} grrr damn your pretty strong { he strikes the king twice aith the hilt of his blade as he jumps over the king and slashes his back as he pivots his body so hes facing the king again} damn this guys tough... I can handle this! { he runs right at the king}

????: { turns around and slowly glances at D as she walks out of the portal} how should I know like you say hes just some brat { she enters a hut in the crystalized valley} I need to sleep dont disturb me...

King: RAAAAHHHH!!!!! { his claw collides with with Jutos blade}

Juto: { he glances to see cass on the floor} hey buddy you alive? { he continues to clash with the demonic king} dammit Czerny give me more power! { he wins the dead lock as he slices the king across the chest} how about that!\

king: { grins as dark fire gathers around his hand and he knocks juto into the laboratory equipment as it gets wreaked pretty badly} heh so this is it this power is unbelieveable this is the power of an ARTIFACT! { his voice echoes throughout the castle}

Juto: { he stands up with blood trickling down his head} Czerny...full power lets destroy this bastard

Cass stood up and picked up his sickle which was close to him, dusting himself off. "Tag out, I want to try killing that thing..." He looked at Mors and then the King. "If I obtain your Artifact, do I get your power? Or do I get a new deal?" He pointed the sickle at the King, and looked at Juto, "Don't assume you're safe either child, I'll kill you too" He then turned to face the King and dodged his claw, jumping on his arm and using it to get closer to him, then slashed at his chest.

Juto: Boy?! { he readies his blade}

King: { voice still echoing through out the castle} you want my artifact! I won't let you have it! { rushes cass and clashes with cass but manages to push him back} I don't know how you survived that fall but this will END YOU! { dark magic forms in his hand}

Juto: { comes up to the side of the demonic king as he drives his blade into his side} DIE! { knocks the king into the wall as he takes a different sword stance}

"I doubt that." D. lied on the ground, set a cup filled with pure water in front of him and used it to scry on the fight with the king. Around the time Juto gets pissed about being called a boy, he absentmindedly put a hand on the cover of the witch's spell book, but stopped before opening it. Probably trapped unless either opened a special way or it recognizes whether or not the reader is her, and at the very least I'm sure it's written in a cipher...oh well, you don't get anywhere without taking some risks. He put on his glasses, enchanted for speed reading, flipped open the book, and began.

"What part of my turn don't you understand?" Cass said as he regained his stance and charged at the King, "I am not your ally, I plan on taking your life as well!" He dodged the King's claw yet again, but he was forced back by the King's raw power. "Vile creature, at this rate I don't think I'd like this power." He looked to Juto, "But that power seems a bit more manageable...."

Juto: well than if you plan on taking my life thenn....{ he dodges the kings attacked and he counters with his blade slashing up the king and knocking the king into cass but juto gets a headache} ahhh agghh RAGGH! { he falls to his knees as a magic cirle appears under him and red Runic markings Appears from his shoulders going down to his arm the circle fades as the king rushes him and knocks him into the air and they land back in the throne room where kite and the 2 guards are}.....* breathing softly* { he flips over the king landing behind him and he starts slashing really furiously and with great speed he then slices the king across the chest RAAAHHH!!! { kicks the king to the ground as he stabs his blade into the king the runic markings fade}

King:....no not yet I'm not gonna die just yet I need more power.. more power...more POWER! { his body starts glowing} no not know what is this my body raaghh

Juto: { holding his head} huh what what happened?.....{ he sees the king} ohh no... A REBOUND! He's GONNA BLOW! { his sword turns to normal as he resheaths it and okaces czerny back in his pocket and he starts running}

Franca looked towards what sounded like an explosion. Her hand caught Franco's gloved one, turning his attention towards it as well. "Good thing we're leaving now." Franco commented, mumbling to himself as he redirected Franca's attention. They had to leave soon so they would not be there for when the woman was found. The castle being destroyed may distract them from it, but their work was done.

"Damn boy, throwing this garbage at me..." Cass said as he got up again and dusted himself off, by the time he was up, Juto and the King were fighting each other. "No matter who survives, I'll win." He watched patiently until the King was defeated, "Rebound, wait, does that mean the item will go too?" Cass then lifted rocks over him to cover himself from the explosion. "It doesn't matter if I don't live to see it happen, that damned boy, he got in my way, he'll die next..."

Juto: { Running towards the exit he bumps into the 2 guards and kite} AHH!!!! you guys need to get out of here... now { he grabs kite by the collar along with the other guards as he jumps out the window and he lands perfectly on a rooftop} keep running! { dragging the 3 with him}

????: { walks outside and takes the book away from D}..now now D u have to be careful this is a very different book if someone reads it and lets say this book if it doesnt accept that reader it will steal their soul only the most powerful Magi can read its pages clearly besides do not worry though your on my way soon you'll be ready to handle this book besides do u know how to translate this cipher into regular understanding words?

Franca hold Franco's hand, like she did every time they left a village. The idea of solitude seemed to effect her too much. Cities were too crowded and she desired space more often in them. Franco's eyes looked only forward and she had followed that example. Every time crazy things happened, there was no turning back. The castle's destruction still resonated, but the noise was muted enough she could focus on other things.

Juto: well I guess its worth a shot... tapoi should be crap I have to take an airship to that kingdom damn thats like all the way on the west continent..damn { he looks towards kite} hey you okay?...{ hes holding czerny in his other hand}

A talking book, interesting. Oh no, a soul sucking trap, no surprise there. Interesting choice of cipher though, and the obscuration spell was a nice touch. After finishing his string of thoughts D. shrugged, "I was well aware of the risks, and no, I don't know how to translate the cipher, but that won't stop me from trying to figure it out. You, more than any other, should know that." He stood up and brushed himself off, "Did you sleep well?"

"Our next mission is located near Tapoi." Franco spoke while he walked with Franca. "We'll be meeting the usual contact for an airship passage." Her head nodded lightly, head leaning against his arm slightly. The airship would take a few hours to get to from their current location, but they were used to long walks and sleeping outdoors. They were a mismatched pair that somehow fit together just right.

"Teach me how to decode the cipher?" He withdrew a notebook and wrote several lines on a page. The first set was perfectly copied from the witch's spellbook, less the trap spells, and the second set was what D. believed to be the deciphered version. He had only had a very limited time with the book, but his knowledge of ciphers was extensive. He had taken several spell books from dead mages, some he had killed and others he had just run across, but he had been forced to decipher them all himself. "As I said, I don't know how to decode it, but if I happen to be correct then this will save some time which we can devote to other things."
