I have short hair, but everyone thinks I'm a girl. So I think I might count as a bishie.

Those of my friends who use gratuitous Japanglish have referred to me as a bishounen on occasion, but I voted "no" in your poll because I have never worn my hair long. I had no idea that the word referred to long hair. I always thought it just meant "beautiful boy."

And well, at least this isn't the first freaking topic almost every new member gets to see, but "king" and "queen", refrain from bickering and telling such personal things at the middle of topic discussions, like if you had to use public posts to quarrel with each other. You could easily take all the words you'd wish to "exchange" with the other out of the forums and tell them directly in person or somewhere else, rather than using the topics as a medium for them ~3~ Anyways...

However, all I well and truly know is that my sister and I have very similar hair -taking length, colour and natural style into consideration- and that my parents are always going on about how people would pay hundreds upon hundreds of pounds to get the style of hair that we both get naturally.

People usually say that about me as well, because of the unique-ish hairstyle i have XD My hair is somewhat curly/wavy, and apparently, such style is something that people would LOVE to have, and can spend hours curlying their hair or something to get it a similar way. And meanwhile...i actually don't like my hairstyle and usually spend some time trying to straighten it or just "flatten" it, even using my glasses to hold my hair in position, so it looks all straight and fine rather than all wavy-ish. While people would pay and do alot to get their hairstyle like mine...i instead would pay and do alot (well, not that much) to get my hairstyle like theirs...just all straight and flat >3>; lol

Strangely I always get mistaken for a girl in the mcdonalds drivethrough. I can't say i've noticed it much anywhere else but no matter who is in the window at mcdonalds they all address me as a female. they usually catch themselves really quick though.

He already made an account here but I used it, apparently when he died he had a last will and testament prepared(his family is involved in politics, he even had life insurance) and his family was shocked to learn I'm his beneficiary, which means he left me all of his possessions such as his laptop, PS3, and condo unit, his life insurance also gave me 500,000 pesos in all, he was a bit forgetful so his laptop had his password and all access to his accounts in everything, I'm really sorry if I caused you guys a lot of trouble. He was also a bit"odd"when he was alive, apparently he was obsessed with the da vinci code and even has a functioning cryptex, even though his will wanted me to finish his fanfic, he went around hiding the pages of the fanfic all over the condo building and nearby mall, yup he certainly was a weirdo, but his journal holds clues but all of them are references to the .hack series!

To bring this topic back on course, I don't have long bishie hair...nor do I know why having long hair is bishie like, but, I've never really been mistaken for a girl...which I know is good, because that means I'm doing something right

To be fair, a lot of bishies do have long hair. Sephiroth, Endrance, Sesshoumaru... actually, it seems like a trait more common to villains or side characters than to bishounen specifically. In fact, Age from Heroic Age is the only title character I can think of who has long hair, and he gets a haircut early on.

White or pale hair also seems to crop up more in villains than heroes, and that is definitely a bishounen trait. That last sentence contained a link, and on the TV Tropes article contained in that link is a picture of Kaworu Nagisa, who is about the bishiest son of a bish I can think of, and has short hair.
