A simple question about glasses
Something's being bugging me for a while now, and I've been wanting to post it here for quite a long time, but I held back on the basis that I thought it might be too personal to ask here...
..Then I thought again, and I realised it wasn't that personal at all.
So tell me guys; How many of you wear Glasses IRL?

Re: A simple question
I sort of do?
I have astigmatism and its degrading, but I can still see fine normally, its just like switching from regular TV to HD. Plus I look better with glasses apparently.

Ditto, but I also wear glasses.
The lenses aren't actually that strong, they just provide me with a bit of extra focal ability >x>

Sounds pretty similar to my issue. I can't see lit up writing very well unless I'm standing right in front of it - the glasses just remedy that.

Re: A simple question
Lulz, i've probably asked and said much more personal stuff than that all around the topics >3>
Anyways, i wear glasses, and without them i'm practically BLIND. My lenses degree (or whatever you call it) it's at 4.0 or so...if i take them off right now, i DEFINETLY can't see what i'm typing, i just see blur i can't identify at all (though i can somewhat understand the big "A simple question"...somewhat, mostly because i already know it says that X_X), and i'm standing quite close to the laptop screen. It's not like objects suddenly disappear or anything, and i won't definetly run into a wall while not wearing them...but just don't make me read anything or identify anything smaller than the size of my hand and/or 5 feets away from me. Else i'll just tell you it's a "random colorful cloud" D8
Plus, i just look damn hot with eyeglasses on. Like a hawt geeky dude ~3~ lol

indeed i do. but they're not strong at all. my vision isn't bad. i'm nearsighted. I really don't need to wear them but i find it easier to wear them than keep up with them.

Re: A simple question
Whatever TheSorrow said. I only read "I take them off, I'm blind." And "If I take them off, I definitely can't see what I am typing."
I took them off and tried... I really did.

Same here. I also only wear glasses because I'm too lazy to learn how to/put in contacts every day.N3IWVC wrote:indeed i do. but they're not strong at all. my vision isn't bad. i'm nearsighted. I really don't need to wear them but i find it easier to wear them than keep up with them.

More people wear glasses here than I originally expected
I was thinking about getting contacts for sports, seeing as I play hockey, and that 'aint a safe sport to wear glasses with... especially if a stick hits you in the face.Azure Knight wrote:Same here. I also only wear glasses because I'm too lazy to learn how to/put in contacts every day.

Re: A simple question
I could probably get by without 'em, but I wear 'em anyway. Plus I've kind of turned into a glasses lover, so all the more reason to keep them.
Besides which, I'm almost certain my vision is slowly deteriorating, so all the more reason, right?

staring at a screen can do things to your eyesight. Or at least, that's why I wear glasses.

Or practically glomping a cathode ray TV screen while your brother (or you...though you were 3 years old at best and didn't know WTF to do) was playing on the NES for hours straight.nobodyknows wrote:shugo_lover wrote:I don't need or wear glasses. Yeah kids, your parents weren't lying or trolling you with all those warnings about watching the TV too close O_< ...Well, nowadays we have LCD and LEDs and kids no longer watch TV but YouTube on their iPhones, but i guess the same kinda applies. lol
If it contributes anything to the topic, or even if it doesn't but i feel like saying so...i wear glasses since i was around 9-10 years old >3>

Re: A simple question
I started to wear reading glasses from a young age. It wasn't my choice, but I've had to get stronger ones each year. Now I wear Bifocals, but more or less for reading.

Re: A simple question
I've only been wearing 'em for about.. a few months at best? I knew my eyesight had deteriorated from when I was smaller, but I didn't officially get it checked until a few months ago, because I just thought that everyone saw bright writing from a distance as if it was blurry >_<'...TheSorrow wrote:

I got them a few years ago (4 I think?) and have been noticing my eyesight still going downhill, VERY slowly.nobodyknows wrote:I've only been wearing 'em for about.. a few months at best?
