The Littl' Bits
Dragon Ball (DB, DBZ, but no GT for me)
Sailor Moon (and most of its seasons)
Pokemon (*sobs* POKEMON WAS MY LIFE AND IN SOME WAYS STILL IS)
Card Captors/Sakura

...
.....I'm feelin' lazy now, so BASICALLY every anime they ever aired on 4kids/various saturday morning hour blocks, along with adult swim, I pretty much have seen 'em during my childhood/early teens. Accept for most Mecha 'cause I couldn't STAND mecha back then. (I still kinda dislike it, but obviously there are a couple of acceptions)

I should qualify this by reminding everyone that I didn't really get into anime until .hack//SIGN, so anything before is stuff that I've managed to catch up on, and that list still includes Robotech, Trigun, and a good chunk of Outlaw Star.

That being said, it still saddens me greatly to know that Warner Bros. is planning a Robotech live-action film.

Not doing in any order:
  • Legend of the Galactic Heroes (One of the few animated space operas I can say is really worth a damn. One pet peeve is its introduction of loads of characters that are either important for an episode, not important until later but made out to be far before they actually are, or appear once are made out to be relevant but really aren't at all.)
  • Gundam (It's good, filled with animation flubs and pointless **** I'd question like how Amuro was able to bury his Gundam in the desert which I won't go into further details on how I THINK he did and the flaws in logic that go with this.)
  • Zeta Gundam (As much as I liked it this introduced Newtypes as being even more overpowered in a way that irked me. Strength of will trumping others in battle and all that ****. Also every kept punch each other every damn episode)
  • ZZ Gundam (even if somewhat humorous most the first 27 or so episodes are a chore to go through for me)
  • Gundam Char's Counter Attack (astoundingly mediocre!)
  • Gundam F91 (Only saw RAW, same for Victory, can't give a fair analysis)
  • Victory Gundam
  • G Gundam (so stupid it was awesome)
  • Gundam Wing (I dislike how it's overrated as all ****)
  • Gundam Wing Endless Waltz (This ***** movie... I have watched it on three different occasions mainly to try to understand what the hell was going on and not a single time could I pay attention the whole way through. I was SOOO ***** BORED)
  • Gundam 08th Team (This, the original, Turn A, and Zeta are all tied for being the best one)
  • After War Gundam X
  • Turn A Gundam (Gundams after this can **** themselves)
  • Hokuto No Ken/Fist of the North Star (one of the few series where I can let mindless fighting go without complaint due to how manly and awesome it is)
  • Yu Yu Hakusho (An exercise in wasted potential! We go from interesting spirit detective with fighting demons and expecting actual... you know... DETECTIVE WORK, but then are pushed through fight after fight, tournament after tournament. We get somewhere kind of interesting in the Sensui saga for then more fighting, then the impending DEMON WAR is about to happen but then it becomes another tournament leaving me confused and unsatisfied. Slightly more satisfied with a decent but rushed ending in the manga.)
  • Macross/Robotech (S'okay)
  • Berserk (I disliked it once being the cunt I was, I find it better now. Though I wish it followed the manga closer on the few places it did deviate from. I understand some couldn't be shown on TV I guess but a good 3 volumes worth of material was skipped over and we rush balls deep into the Golden Age saga)
  • Cowboy Bebop
  • Hellsing (TV series sucked, only one I can consider old at this point. Ultimate is great but... can't really call old. TV series was in EARLY 2000's soooo I can say it's old now)
  • Trigun (HATE. DESERT. SO. MUCH.)
  • Dragonball (Many would say I should hate this. I don't, this is the only part of the series I don't hate, I accept it for what it was, comedic adventure. Yes it evolved or devolved into mindless fighting and tournaments but until close to the end it stayed true enough to how it was I suppose)
  • Dragonball Z (You can only find this good if you have the attention span of a toddler, like pointless recaps, are under the age of 10 and have testicles)
  • DragonBall GT (see above, only you probably have no soul if you like this as well)
  • Astro Boy (sometimes I find myself slightly disturbed that though he was a machine, we watched and read a young boy shirtless in briefs occasionally take oil in his ass and never spoke on it. This probably says something horrible about me for bringing it up though.)
  • Ranma 1/2
  • Sailor Moon (I don't care how formulaic the show is. It was one of the first shows I saw and I loved it)
  • Sailor Moon R
  • Sailor Moon S
  • Sailor Moon Super S
  • Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (I honestly don't know why the anime version had the Starlights become men when not fighting, dressing as men would have worked just as well, I mean if this was just a scheme to get the Seiya x Usagi pairing to work it just made things significantly more complicated and wouldn't go anywhere anyway)
  • Voltron
  • Pokemon (gave up at the end of orange islands)
  • Princess Mononoke
  • Evangelion (I could open up a shitstorm argument and say that I find this wasn't deep at all and is overrated as all hell. But I won't go further, what matters is I was entertained enough I just kind of wish this series wasn't hailed as a godsend but I wish the same for many series like Haruhi, and something that actually is horrible: Elfen Lied)
  • My Neighbor Totoro
  • Saint Seiya
  • Slayers
  • Vampire Hunter D
  • Akira
  • Gunsmith Cats (I appreciate all the research done in the making of the OVA and manga on guns and locale Chicago. That aside it was fun to watch on its own merits.)
  • Kimagure Orange Road
  • Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
  • Dirty Pair
  • Bubblegum Crisis
  • Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040
  • City Hunter 1 and 2
  • Lupin III
AND MANY MORE. This is only ones I can immediately remember. My list for anime from the mid 2000's on is much much shorter as really nothing has had me interested save for few recommendations that range from okay to good at best. So yeah this is like a fifth of what I watched not counting new stuff which would be 20 at most.

Do these count as "old anime"? If so, then they're definetly added to my list.
And in that case, would Yu-Gi-Oh also classify as an old anime?
...Just how "old" are we talking about again? Since it now feels like 90% of the anime i've ever watched is "old" already XD lol

Then i suppose i could add these as well:
-Digimon Adventure
-Digimon Adventure 02

Freaking awesome series as well, one of my favorites. But nothing really after 02 (and i think those are definetly too recent to be called "old series").

I'd consider 10 years or close (8-9 pushing it) old at this point. While I do find it somewhat lenient and should really say 20 years as the minimum age, I feel that would be pushing it for some.

Yeah...I'm 21 years old, actually, so 20 years old would definitely be pushing it =u=;; (granted I could always watch the 20+ year old anime, but they're a lot harder to find...;~; )

Yeah, i agree that anything below the 2000's is a good criteria for considering them "old animes". I was actually considering as "old" something from the early 90's and below...that is, 18+ years old at least, but i didn't realize until now that some anime series i used to watch and mentioned (such like Captain Tsubasa and Slayers), are from 1995+. I thought they were from 1992 at the very most, so yeah 'XD

And i'm actually 20 years old myself, born in 1990...but most of the anime i watched was anime from the late 80's, so at least for me, i could mention without much problem anime series i watched while young, and are older than me. I know it would be pushing for many members here, who started with Pokemon and didn't watch any other series until years later...but, i don't really think it would be for members who are at least 18 years old and watched anime since young. And that's because, back then, we didn't have a wonderfully fast and common internet connection that allowed us to see what was going up in Japan at the moment, and all the anime we watched had to be dubbed and then shown in TV channels. And, with the time it took for dubbing and all (which was also longer), the series that were shown since the 80's in Japan, were the new ones for us about a decade later. So basicly, if you turned your TV on by 1995 and watched some anime, you were actually watching an anime from the 80's. And that's how my list is mostly full of 20+ year old series, since i started watching anime while being like 3 years old, and the anime i watched wasn't exactly from 1993.

Yeah I know what'cha mean; my very first anime was airing in 1994-1995, (The Littl' Bits; most of my friends never seen it though, but it's on youtube) was from the 80's in Japan, and after that I mainly only had access to whatever anime they were airing on TV at the time. But for some reason after The Littl' Bits, but BEFORE Sailor Moon, is a little harder for me to remember what was actually anime and what were just random action cartoons. (I know they aired Dragon Ball before Sailor Moon, but can't remember what else they showed)

..according to my big sister I was probably watching anime even as an infant, but I honestly can't remember anything before 1994 in terms of television 8U (accept maybe sesame street or whatever year they were showing the Adventures of TinTin, and other very nostalgic shows)

Oh yeah, I didn't get internet access 'til waaaaaay later. Every time we'd get a computer, it would break, and we did use WebTV for a couple of years but you can't watch anime with it, so...yeah OTL

Inuyasha, Hellsing, and Chobits aren't as old as the others. They aired around 2000 or 2001. My definition of old is at least a decade or more. The others are in the 90s era. If you gonna watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, be prepared to be confused. Hideaki Anno went through depression while writing it, so the plot drops off near the end.
