It's younger people giving nude pics or dirty pics of THEMSELVES to others.
We know the issue.
Just read a few posts above...
I was just clarifying my opinion.
...and I don't think sexting just limits to younger people giving out nude photos.
It can be older people giving out nude photos to younger ones. It's all the same in my mind.
Yeah thats true but its mainly the younger ones because there the ones that are into the whole texting thing.

I doubt that there are a huge amount of people sending their naked pics to minors. That's not the big problem. The big problem is that it's an easy and fast way to send around child pornography, a SERIOUS offense. Even if it's a picture of themselves, the law still labels it production, possession, and distribution of child pornography, which is illegal.

Oh trust me. I think most people would agree with you.
Kids under 16 don't need cell phones. They should be somewhere where they'd need one until they're 16 (driving age).
Children shouldn't be allowed on computers till age 9. And should be able to get on the net till age 14 unless its school related.
There's already a generation of kids that will never know what that world was like without internet, and I find it horribly sad.

if only they could find themselves a wooden sword/ bamboo stave or something. Playing with them is fun, addictive, a form of exercise, and a way of relieving stress, all in one! Plus, you can dress up some guy in a cardboard suit and pretend he's a dragon, then whack him repeatedly with your 'legendary weapon'!
It may sound sad, but I still do that sort of thing even now :S

Force impressionable children to watch kung fu movies for hours on end, while you spike their drink with LSD. They'll pick up a broom and start beating the dog to death!

If the sexting problem got settle would the others be settle? As time goes by it would be even easier due to technology for kids to send nake pic to their friends.
I believe the problem is really in a sense with who sends the pictures.
We live in a world where anything, even this post can be viewed by people we don't know. Therefore, it is easy to assume that sending pictures from one phone to another can go anywhere. If you send a video or a picture over the internet, you have no control where that video or picture goes.
Yes, Sexting is a problem. It really is the problem of trust, though. The people who send the pictures trust the person to not throw them around like candy.
That's not usually the case in some of the terrible cases. I'm not saying the victim is completely 'wrong,' but they share a part of that responsibility. Especially if they do it consciously and willingly. The person who receives the picture is not under any obligation to keep it to themselves. It is their choice if they do.
To wrap this up:
All messages sent to the internet are out of our hands as soon as we use mass communication or press a send button. This very post could be considered mass communication. Therefore, sexting is the result of one person trusting their message will be kept to only one person.
