I can understand a teenager feeling like they're being driven to suicide to avoid the abuse of her peers, but what I don't understand is why someone would feel this way because of bullying over the internet. Unlike being bullied in person, cyber-bullying can be shut out as long as the bullies aren't actively seeking you out in order to harass you. Even if they're spamming your inbox or instant messenger, if push comes to shove you can always change that information and keep it confidential to avoid further harassment. Neither of these things take any technical know how and most teenagers know how to do this anyway. They would have had to at some point to get their email and IM username in the first place.
Some people are ultra-sensitive to other people's opinions, but being bullied in person is a completely different experience than being harassed over the internet.
Cyber Bullying.
