It's an alternate universe. All Digimon universes are equally canon, as the Digimon series exists in a multiverse where real/Digital worlds paired up. This is even elaborated upon in the Wonderswan Brave Tamer games, where Ryo Akiyama started out as what was essentially an emergency Chosen Child/Digidestined if the other children were incapacitated, but then through a series of events, he got thrown through different dimensions, before finally settling on the Digimon Tamers world. As a result, everyone in the Digimon Adventure world forgot he ever existed, and in the Digimon Tamers world, things changed so that he, and everyone else, thought he always lived there.

I guess that explains why I like the two of you, AT and Ratsu, because a lot of my best friends are autistic and I'm comfortable with autistic people. Heck, my fiancee is autistic (well okay technically she has aspergers which is now officially considered "a mild form of autism" instead of "an unnoficial 5th level") While it is true that my autistic friends are all good artists, most of them are very shy in telling people about their condition, however, and hearing that some people have actually used autism as an excuse really makes me wonder if they really were or not. It's not something you should really flaunt, after all, since it isolates you from "normal" people (I personally consider it to be a "difference" more than a "disability" myself, but that's my bias since my autistic friends are actually rather capable individuals, would others be willing to give them a chance to show what they can do.) and are basically just not given the same opportunities in life, and are often shunned by society. It's quite disheartening, really.

Anyways, back on topic.

Yeah, I loved season 1, and probably due to my crush on Kari at the time, I somehow liked season 2 even more! What I didn't like about season 3 was how they implemented the cards. I did play the card game once upon a time but it's not like I really enjoyed it. In seasons 1 and 2, it was about their inherent abilities in their given form. In season 3, it was about having a weapon or some other card-given advantage, and that just really didn't appeal to me. I watched the first few episodes but never got into it. It wasn't that my interest died out or anything, either! I went in to season 3 thinking "Oh man, this will be the best season yet!" and well... yeah.

I think they actually showed part of the games as a flashback in Season 2

Anyway, I just hope that Season 6 doesn't involve Yggdrasil again ~ugh~ I hated that thing. Don't get me wrong I liek the idea of not having a Digimon nor a Human as the final antagonist ( Season 3's D-Reaper was EPIC), but have a god-like super computer pulling a Kira just sucked ass!!!

No, it was sort-of a computerized "God" that governed over the Digital World.

So, yea, he was basically like Aura.

He's not evil, though, just a tremendous dick. Yggdrasil doesn't have emotions, so while it's a just entity, it's not compassionate because it doesn't understand suffering. The only reason it does "evil" things is to protect the Digital World. In Digimon X, it does what it does to keep memory levels stable so the Digital World didn't crash. In Digimon Savers, it attacks humanity to protect Digimon (that and the "two worlds about to collide" thing).

Yea and that was only b/c Kurata had to go and act like a bigshot say he wants world domination and everything else and his bullshitting resulted in the 2 worlds colliding. All b/c he had to get a colossal phobia of Digimon just b/c he got attack by a SaberLeomon.

I like Season 3 the best, it seemed to be the only season where the Internet, Digimon, and humans were intertwind the best.

In Digimon Frontier, at first the whole Humans-turning into Digimon thing put me on edge, but I got over it.

Season 5 just sucked all the way through. It started badly and it ended badly.

I loved season 4. I thought it was nice that they tried something different. At first, I was like "wtf is dis sh**! no digimon partners!?" I eventually got oevr it and learned to love that season. Plus i thought that the English opening was pretty sweet and it was catchy.

No partners was only the tip of the iceberg. I especially hated that the team balance was extremely uneven and two thirds of the cast became useless about halfway through the show, and Kouji in particular was made worthless about...what, two or three episodes after he joined the team? The hell?

Don't get me started about how the entire setting is totally broken, incoherent, and ultimately contradictory with itself on numerous points of data, making the whole entire anime resemble a poorly run game of D&D or something.

Oh, and the characters had no depth and were just rehashes of older characters to even more offensive levels than the characters of 02, who managed to justify it and prove they had bigger depth. All these kids had such whiny, stuck-up problems it made me want to punch an orphan.
