...Clueless neh? Well it's the first .hack anime and well...sort of part of .hack that most people saw first. Aired the season I think twice on Cartoon Network. Introduced a lot of America to .hack, great show and my favorite part of the whole .hack series as of now.

Yeah that's what I thought at first too...some people don't know about Udedan and maybe Liminality but I've never seen a fan who never heard of Sign.

.hack//SIGN is a very good anime, but it has a few laggy parts in the middle. Even so, it's one of my all-time faves. (Doesn't beat FMA tho.)

I'm just getting the series now. DarK-SuN and Kash told me about it and how I acted just like Mimiru so I had to check it out and check just what they meant. I wanted to see Mimiru's actions first hand.

And I agree with them, I'm JUST like Mimiru.

.hack//SIGN is an anime ^-^ usually the first .hack for all those .hack fans.

I won't be that informative because everybody else gave you all the details -_-

.hack//SIGN is my favorite .hack series so far! Tsukasa is da bestest ^o^ when I first saw //SIGN on CN I had no clue what was going on becauseI was on the 4th episode or something...but I immediately fell in love with it...I loved everything about it...although I was confused @_@ I would always forget what time it aired...but sometimes I would remember and watch it ^^ I really loved 'Obsession' it was so great >.< that's what got me hooked on .hack//SIGN I believe (yep...the opening theme did it all!) I would always wonder what kind of name .hack//SIGN was -_- I wasn't a hardcore .hack fan then...but now I am ^0^ back then they would always talk about Tsukasa...I didn't know who the characters were so I was all like "Who the hell is this Tsukasa person they keep talking about?!?" I always thought Tsukasa was some high and mighty prince dude who thinks he's all that...boy was I wrong ^^;; *sigh* okay...enough about me...I hope you like .hack//SIGN!!!

honestly...I've never heard about a .hack fan that never knew about //SIGN O.o but hey...don't sweat it! Just go out and buy yourself a copy or watch it on TV if they show it where you live...but then again...//SIGN might bore you to death -_-
