Just make a relationship thread..or isn't there already one?

Well yea he likes her in the end, because of everything they went through, like I said. Besides Alkaid can be plenty gentle. A certain T word describes her and how she would go well with Haseo. Look at her wedding, her Xth cross rengeki, honeysuckle event. Shes tough and can fight side by side with him and be gentle when it comes to the intimate part of the relationship.

Well currently they're trying to find a vaccine for her but we know that you fight her anyways in the end. So there goes the vaccine idea. As well in the 2024 thread someone mentioned that they were tampering with Aura's remaining data, which also implies that she dies.

But, would you really want a sharingan eyed (Uhg) Aura with Cubia snakes coming out of her skirt ruling Za Warudo? Besides, she made it pretty clear that she wants nothing to do with Za Warudo anymore from G.U. and leaves it to the players to look after themselves.

Also with the Haseo thing, I'm not sure if he's permanently dead since there's nothing about him after you complete the storyline. Except in Returner where Sakisaka treats as though he's still alive, but you never see him. You get Haseo in 2020 and all's well. Besides, in order to thaw the 2020 Kite, Fluegel shoots the 2010 frozen Kite again which causes him to disappear. I'm not sure if he revives in the 2010 storyline but he disappeared like every other character who "died".

By the way, I find it funny how Kite's the Kenny of .hack. He gets owned in G.U. as Azure Kite. He gets frozen in LINK, twice. He thaws and kicks his own ass in the form of Azure Kite.

Alkaid is definitely tsundere, but she leans more toward the tsuntsun side, and Atoli is more of a depressed "Iwantwuv" kind of girl, which means she deserves a pairing, if not with Haseo than with someone else 8D

...okay, now I'm really shutting up

And back on topic:  I doubt that Haseo is dead in the real world since all this seems to take place in an alternate reality...

Yes, Tokio is working along with Genius right now. The antagonists are Jyotaro and Geist who were pulling the strings the whole time, but now they're already dead.

And no that's not how the Azure Flame God fight starts out, there is no Azure Flame God in this game. You fight Azure Kite along with Kite and that's it. That azure flame symbol behind Azure Kite is a design on his character. But you won't be disappointed the fight was quite epic, just that Kite is quite underleveled at that point. I was personally completely overleveled at that point so he wasn't that hard to beat.

how can being overleveled in this game make any difference to difficulty? i'm lvl 10 on the demo and still doing 1-4 dmg on things.

I have a question. If the thread title already indicates massive spoilers, why are we still using spoiler tags? Kinda defeats the purpose no?

@Kouen, Yes, I meant Azure Flame Kite, not "God". My mistake. I realized the azure flames behind AK resemble the arc that used to be behind Azure Flame God when I watched his X-Rengeki.

thank god someone finally said it.
i'm dieing here with all the spoiler tags, an it doesnt help that i can't highlight text on a psp, having to quote people just to read something, go back, and find one of kouen's freaking five paragraph essay spoiler tagged, ALL OF YOUR POSTS IN THIS THREAD WAS SPOILER TAGGED AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD FOR DOING SO. SEE THIS KOUEN? IT'S A SMALL SPOILER TAGGED SENTENCE.

Its killing you to highlight? You might want to see a doctor. Edit: Saw the PSP now. Still, get a real internet device.

The reason is because theres a variety of spoilers. If you want to spoil something small the title is probably enough warning. If you are going to spoil the final boss and conclusion, be a little more considerate.

Yes. I had the same problem when I was on my PS3 earlier in the day, however, I don't mind Kouen's huge, spoiler essay goodness though. All of it is nothing but juicy goodness, which I'll probably forget if the game ever releases here. Although I won't forget who the final boss will be. It was just so disappointing that it"s stuck in my mind, forever... V_V...

Spoiler tags exist so if you want to burn the information into your mind forever, or for as long as your brain can hold it, you're forced to think twice about it...once before clicking into this topic, and another before highlighting it. You have to work for your spoiling, and that's alot better than finding out who the final boss is simply by taking a quick view to a 6-words long post...which is how many people "fell" into knowing, including me >3>' lol

In that case, with Jyotaro and Geist dead, who's the "target" this time? Aura? Or if she has been defeated already, what is it then? Or there's just no real goal anymore, and Tokio's simply messing around the records to see what else he can find?

I was taking an extra precaution because some of these are pretty heavy spoilers. It's going to take me a while to post anything new since I'm hunting virus cores to upgrade my UPCs. They brought over the tradition of Virus Core farming and made it worse. But, the good thing is I got Kite's Xth Form and he looks really epic with his new coat and bow. I wouldn't mind if he just completely ditched the twin blades and stuck with his bow.

Oh yeah, in order to get a UPC's Xth Form you need to upgrade their Job Class past level 5, then you can upgrade their Xth Form to level 5 again. You must first beat the //SIGN storyline to unlock the Serpent of Lore where you can upgrade Job Classes with Virus Cores. As the character's Job Rank gets higher, they require higher level cores. Since Tokio automatically gets Xth Form, you don't need to level his first form past level 5 (Which is why I wasted so many cores). As well, lower level cores are harder to come by later because you'd end up killing the monsters in the lower level maps too quickly. Some characters have a Virus Core bonus for their Cross Rengekis at half a heart. You can also convert between Virus Cores so you wouldn't need to worry about not getting lower level cores too much. It's still quite a hassle as you'd need to run the same dungeon about 5 times just to upgrade the character once. Unless you get really lucky and get a few Cross Rengekis in.

I'm not at the point of fighting Aura yet, she's the final boss. But at this point in the storyline, Jyotaro and Geist are dead with Aura wreaking havoc in both The World and the real world. So yeah, since they're now both dead, Aura becomes the target. They're hoping that they can create a vaccine to cure her, which obviously won't be happening.

So, let me get this straight. If we've already read, watch, and played through past .hack media, then nearly 90% of this plot is pointless?

Hence: Fanservice.

It changes a little and doesn't cover all the events. Its like if you were there yourself fighting along side the people as the events went down. Its really fun to play through, but yea not the most.. pointful.

Not exactly, there's still the Link portion of the plot as well as the variations that occur in the scenarios. Think of it like Kingdom Hearts (not my idea, blame Akunaeru/Akuta/whatever name he uses here).

Basically Link is fanservice, fanservice that kills the .hack storytelling.

What do you mean convert cores? I'm trying to lvl up Endrance but I need virus core As and I rape everyone in the low level dungeons. I'm lucky if I can get 1 A core a run.

At the Serpent of Lore (the top icon in the main hallway of the Grand Whale) you pick the 2nd option to Core Blend. The more levels your Serpent of Lore shop has the more cores you can convert. Currently my Serpent of Lore is maxed in all 3 parts and I can convert high level cores for mid level cores and blend 1 each time. From mid to low I can blend for 3.

To level up the shop, you press square while you're not in any shop and assign characters to it. The yellow bars represent how much the gauge would increase by (although I'm not sure when this applies, it might give you that amount after you complete a dungeon). But take note the emoticon on the character. It is ideal to have the characters expressing a happy emoticon when they're running the shop. Play around with the assigning and try to stick characters that have a large yellow bar and they're happy with the other characters running the shops. As they run the shop more their emoticons will go from happy to sad, swap them out for other characters every now and then. There is also an option somewhere which says Expansion, I don't know what they do but I try to buy them whenever I can.

Just like i've thought of it all along, even before it was actually released 8DDD!!! lol

And well, since the rest of the events aren't 100% (or even 40% sometimes) accurate to the actual events on the series, it's like playing a whole new series, regardless on whether you've read/seen/played the events before or not. And sure, it's great enough that we see "new" stuff and don't get bored by seeing the same thing once again, and it's so darn great that they're all AI's and "modified memories" and so it doesn't actually screw up with the rest of the series...makes it sorta enjoyable just as long as you know it's all a silly adventure that doesn't really has a connection with the REAL events and the REAL characters.

However, i'll SO HATE it once LINK fans decide to play the other games, and then go around saying "OMFG This suckz!!! This is so wrong!! Events didn't happen like this in LINK, it's all a lie!! Why is this so boring and wrong!?!" and so on.....X___x

Thank you so much. I never assigned anyone (and I'm already at the end.. and I didnt just go A to B I did every scenario available...) because I thought it would just cause conversation chains I wouldn't be able to appreciate anyways.

Oh and to further add to the AI theory. Tokio just freed Seisaku and Hideyo's Medic Union forms and realized that he already freed Seisaku and Hideyo's regular forms. So now he has two versions of the pair running around on his ship.
