Games that should have a remake, prequel, or sequel.

Post by zaseo »

What games do you think needs a remake, prequel, or a sequel? I think games like FF6, and FF12 Revenant Wings should get a remake. FF12 Revenant Wings could be made with the original battle system, and maybe a alter story. Think of playing FF6 on a PS3, or 360. It would be epic, and more content would be put in the game. Megaman X5 would be a good remake. The battle between X, and Zero is epic. Well what games would you like to see be remade, sequel, or prequel?

With the way Square has been doing things for the last few years do you REALLY want them to touch 6? I'm thankful that they didn't screw around in the PS and GBA port... which also gives reason to not have a remake, it's too soon. I don't want the same **** as with FF4 where it's rehashed again and again and again. I am still bitter that there was a DS port for FF 4 just a few years after the GBA version there was just no point.

As for FF12 RW, I couldn't care less, wasn't fond of the game, it can be butchered however Square sees fit, but again too soon and I don't feel it warrants a remake or a fanbase for that matter.

MMX5: I'd rather it be left alone and instead we get MMX9 and it has a satisfying resolution linking close enough to MMZ. No I will not get into discussion to canon, and who worked on what game and so on, I just want this **** finished and hopefully be fun.

Yes that right there is a gap, and somethings are not explained like what happen to Axl. X5 is my favorite. Epic X vs Zero, and epic music, and more.

The .hack games having a remake would not be so bad. Maybe the ability to place with the others would be a good addition.

Grandia II would be so amazing (already is) if they made a PS3 quality remake.

Maybe The Bouncer sequel or prequel. Boktai 3 localized and a Boktai 4 if 3's ending makes it possible. Might settle for a Boktai DS sequel or prequel, but that game just wasn't as good. Maybe a Boktai DS sequel or prequel if they used Boktai GBA gameplay.

Remake of Armored Core 3: SILENT LINE (I know its part of a series, but they had a few unique features in it that the other don't have)

Bounty Hounds (psp) [sequel/remake]

A prequel to Zone of the Enders (can you imagine the crazy sh*t they could do with current gen graphics!?)

S.L.A.I.: Steel Lancer Arena International (amazing game, when the online got taken down it was a sad day, VASTLY under advertised and underestimated. Already had a prequel, NEEDS a sequel.)

Shadow of the Colossus (new graphics on that would make it even more epic)

I can't really think of much besides the Jak and Daxter series and Devil May Cry ( seriously DMC).

But alot of ppl are bitchin about SE not remaking FF7, SE keeps trying to explain how hard, time-consuming, and long it would be to do that ( They said approx, 3 1/2-4 years) but ppl just say that SE are just making excuses on why they won't do it. I know I might sound completely arrogant here ( espically since the only FF game I played was X-20 but apprantly they don't know how hard it is to remake a game and bring it from it's previous generation to the current gen. Espically something that was on the ps1.

They it was mainly revamping the gfx that would give them the most trouble.....

And then you look at Crisis Core and realize they're full of sh*t.

You all have dumb ideas.

That said, alternate Star Fox timeline series of games without Krystal, plz. Seriously, Starfox Armada would've been perfect if she wasn't in it.

The World Ends With You needs a sequel.

Persona 4: FES. I don't care what you need to do, make it happen.

NiGHTS. A sequel, a remake, a prequel, I don't f*cking care, there's not enough NiGHTS in the world. But for the love of god, make NiGHTS a silent protagonist again, good lord.

Oh, and we're all wanting this in some part of us, so don't deny it: You know Epic Mickey, the dark and gritty Micky Mouse game coming out? Epic Mario. Do it.

NiGHTS is great but the only way I'm agreeing to ever touching a potential sequel now thanks to the Wii one being JUST okay is if:

1. They either take out levels where you only play as the stupid children, alternatively improve upon said levels.
2. Kill off that stupid owl.
3. Make sure ALL the bosses are memorable. Really can you tell me Chamelan or Bomamba could compare to the likes of Jackle and Clawz? At least Donbalon was similar enough to Puffy and looked like it belonged in the damn game, but really some Nightmaren in Journey of Dreams pale in comparison to Nights into Dreams.

So while I want to see NiGHTS again, I'd like it if it doesn't get **** up along the way the same way Sonic has. This isn't to say Journey of Dreams was bad, just could be better.

With you on this one.

And I will probably be flamed for this but a sequel to chrono trigger and chrono cross, Legend of Dragoon, and a Xenogears remake.

This is probably idiotic right here but:

I remember once there was PS2 version of the arcade game Time Crisis. What if they remade that to the Ps3?

Agreed, although I have no idea how they'd do it; everything seems totally wrapped up.

Didn't they already port the games to the PSP?

Well, the first one too. Not sure about the second, though.

Pretty much all the early console Fire Emblem games except for the very first one (since that's already been done) need to be remade and released stateside ('cuz at least with Intelligent Systems it's pretty much a guarantee that any game that comes out in the States will also come out in Europe). Slap an M rating on FE4, I don't care what you have to do, just translate the damn game properly. Also, REMAKE OF FE3 BOOK 2 PLOX. We got the first half of the story, now give us the second half.

And Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones needs a sequel or prequel. There are a ton of Magvel-verse fans aside from me that were disappointed in the fact that it's the only FE game that's not connected to any other...
let's cross the sky, to the future!
