No, I'm not kidding. Yes, there will be a console port for Frontier. Yes, it will have ALL PATCHES UP TO 8.5 - once 8.5 is released - and that will include all the monsters such as Berukyuryosu, Pariapuria, Espinas, and even the new death-beast known as the Raviente!
As for what console it's coming out on: Xbox360! Now you won't have to worry about using Wii controls to play a console version of MH ! Of course, exactly how this will work is a mystery to me....
either way, all 999 hunter ranks will be available, online play will evidently be a necessity, but I'm also thinking that you'll be able to solo some of the previously unsoloable monsters.... such as Berukyuryosu.
One issue; It's only been announce in JP... though hopefully this means we'll FINALLY be getting a release in the West within the next few months/ year ^o^d! Also, expect a PC release before the Xbox release. Guess this means I'll have even more of a reason to upgrade my system ....
Known about this for a few months, there's still no word on weather it'll see a stateside release, and even if they do there will be a separate fee apart from your XboxLive subscription.
The fee's the only thing I'm really miffed about. That's also why I'd prefer the PC ver. over the Console ver. The big news is actually in the fact that Frontier could finally be seeing a western release instead of being a game only for the Japanese players.
I can't remember for the life of me where I saw it, but there is one console MMO going to X360 that if you pay the monthly fee, you also get a month of XBL. So basically, for $15 a monht, you get the MMO and LIVE, so maybe MHF would do the same thing.
