Lunar Silver Star Harmony PSP

Post by zerokoolpsx »

Since there was no topic found while searching, thought I post this. Lunar Silver Story is being remade again, for the psp this time. Google translations didn't help, but from looking at famitsu, there is an extra battle as the four heroes prior to the events of the game. Not sure what else they added. Totally psyched about this game and also why I got a psp finally. Limited Edition includes soundtrack and 13 exclusive bromides. Now you can gaze at the girls of Lunar everywhere you go. 8)

JP release date: Nov. 12, 2009
NA release date: Mar. 2, 2010(Delayed again)

Glad to see more developers noticing the awesomeness of the PSP.

So, this is like, what, the third time they've remade this game? What a waste of time, couldn't they atleast remake one of the other games? Or make a sequel since there's a hell of a lot of plot gaps that need filling?

They had a sequel that has epic failure written all over it aka Lunar: Dragon Song. I'm all up for another sequel, but it's been a decade since Lunar 2. I don't think it's happening. Pity really. It would be a relevant franchise today if it only continued and didn't suck. Referring to the deformed stepchild Dragon Song.

Dragon Song was actually a prequel, but okay. It's technically non-canon anyway. :P

Rent if first. It's actually quite fun.

It's an enhanced port of a remake for the PS1. The most notable difference are the arts gauge, similar to a limit break in ff7. Difficulty has been reduced. Isometric view with updated character/enemies/bosses sprites. Ramus actually looks fat this time. New Prologue event with the 4 Heroes. Redone lyrics for Wings and Nocturne of the Wind. Literal translation from Xseed. Some people gripe about it, since WD went the other way. I can understand for those who hate the changes because of nostalgia but if its closer to the source. I'm all for it. If you never played it on SegaCD, Sega Saturn, or WD's PS1 version, you'll like this game. If you already have, then you may not enjoy the changes as much, but it's still a fun game to play.

It's pretty good I think..
But not as tough as I thought it would be..
In my opinion if you play this game even normally, it's quite hard to get a Game Over screen..
