No, Hitsu's ice power just can't make him as cool as Ueki.
XD My favorite characters were probably Rinko and Sano (aside from the obvious Ueki, since I am totally in love with him even though he's 13...). A lot of the powers in the series were awesome, but I wish that the cooler ones didn't belong to the enemies...
Am I the only one who noticed that the sillier the power, the more effective it seems to be?
XD Yeah, but I was more referring to how Mori creamed her enemies more than once with her power to make her enemy love glasses. (Of course, she beat up the other guy without even having powers, so maybe she's just a Sue...)
and yeah, I was quite hesitant to admit to myself that I thought Ueki was hot at first. But then I found out he was 13 and was like, oh, fair game.*cough*olderthanGenis*cough*
But yeah, the stupid power matrix is just how the world of shounen protags works. I mean, it's true the bad guys get all the good stuff. But doesn't that make it more over the top, since the odds are so much stronger? Even though it gets to be a tired concept after awhile...

bad guys getting good stuff or not, its funny how the anime's hero character and co. always come out on the top. I think the most devastating anime power is the angel arm from Trigun. I mean come on, the thing can blow up an entire city just like that. Sure it takes a while to charge but so what. It's still awesome!!!!
