Under the influence of that culture full of screwed up media and mainstream stuff. I've actually MET people who went all around marrying people on MySpace and actually taking it seriously, or posting alot of stuff like how they were going to KILL their parents or brother/sisters, actually setting up plots for it that could really cause their deaths, and for reasons like "forcing them to sleep early", "not letting them to go to that dangerous party at 3AM", "not letting them smoke weed", things like that...and yeah, their age was at the range of 14-16 years old. And that's all just because there's alot of media stuff, ranging from movies to books to music or just plain old TV that somewhat "encourages" them into doing that...into forcing the ideas that those things are all "awesome" and make you look "important" or whatever, and if something gets in your way, you have the right to murder them and post about it all over on the internet x-x

They don't really need drugs or alcohol for doing these things. What i said is far more brainwashing and dangerous than any kind of substances.

It is many smart yet many stupid people these days. If only our laws could be much more stricter. I find it ironic how the ratio of idiots to people with common sense is increasing these days. No one is prefect, but a lot of the things people do is just so retarded.

I wonder what would happen if Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter gets hack, and shut down temporarily. LOL most teens do stupid things on the big social networking sites anyway. Why would you post picture of yourself, give out your address, or send out comments of your machinations anyway?

This doesn't change the fact that humans, both physically and mentally, are considered extrememly dangerous to their own kind, regaurdless of age. The human mind is quite a formidable foe. Personally, I find this to be a bedtime story compared to the 9 year old's who've killed their parents/gaurdians because they couldn't tolerate rules and authority, the 11-15 year old's who became full-fledged rapists, and the rest of the younger society who grow mentally unstable whenever a friend or love one neglects them, or doesn't call back, or doesn't kiss them, or abuse them, and other needs. Sometimes, there are ones who wouldn't even have a reason at all. They just simply kill, or molest, or do some other sadistic action and simply have no answer as to why they did it. The world isn't fair, and it never will be.

However, I doubt we should "<3" the flaws that make us human.
If anything we should confront them and strive to fix them.

My point is you cant really judge these people because you don't know them, there is an infinate amount of possibilities.. example: maybe the mother was doing bad things to her kids, maybe the boyfriend was pressuring the girl into doing this (I think that is likely). And so many other factors involved.

You also have to keep in mind the age of these kids some people can't get death through their heads (specially this young) like it only happens in the movies.

And Americans are hardly about getting facts straight in media.
If the mother was abusive, or the boyfriend was pressuring her, we wouldn't find out until...2015, I'd say.

Despite what the kids were thinking the point is that the girl willingly set her own mother on fire. There is no excuse for that.

This is why I think we need to start some kind of program to help teach people the dangers of exposing children to things like the internet and wide spread media. We need to take a more robust route in keeping these things out of the hands of children.

I agree with you there. If you have ever watched or atleast heard of the video "3 guys,1 hammer" you know what people are capable of these days.Those 19 year old kids killed just for memories of when they get older... that's just f**kin psycho in my opinion. I'm taking a psychology class in college now and i don't understand what runs through peoples minds like this.
