True, but they might fill it with "Suzaku meets Sword of the Stranger" sword fights.AuraTwilight wrote:I can't imagine that not being the case; not like they can fill pages with Knightmare fights or anything.

Atleast that'd be sensible. Honestly, I almost didn't watch Code Geass because of the massive amounts of physics fail, but that was before I learned what the actual premise was because I learned about it from Kyerotard babbling about the mechs.

I never really understood that; what was the point in the Knightmares? I know they show the military power of Brittania but were they really needed for that purpose or are they just for show?

Pretty much for cool battle scenes. It also serves the important narrative device of giving characters like Kallen and Lelouch an extra sort of disguise to hide their real faces with.
Actually, one could probably consider the Knightmares not just eye candy, but also metaphors/extensions/products of the masks that Charles wanted to destroy.
But mostly it's for cool battle scenes.

I say they were only cool battle scenes BEFORE they had flight capabilities. After that, they were all pointless and therefore masks.AuraTwilight wrote:Pretty much for cool battle scenes. I don't see how flying capabilities changes things one way or another; infact, given the plot structure, it was kind of inevitable; we were watching an Arms Race in action as a microcosmic allegory for the progression of the human race created by conflicting wills; progress exists because humans fight. This is why the plans of both Charles and Schneizel were ineffably evil, and why Lelouch can be treated as a champion of the future.

I am 'Asukai' from here but I can't get into my old account it's a curse lol.
