Caim: if we had more pact beasts around this would be way easier

[calls his dragon into the courtyard and the red dragon lands and then curls up and falls asleep]

Revy places her hand over Lord Caim's as he puts a sword away. "Lord Caim, isn't it? I'm Revy." She steps back and curtsies. "The numbers are not in our favor, are they? I may be able to assist in that. I don't know what rumors you hear, but I am a necromancer, by necessity."

She sits in a chair and smiles up at him affectionately. "You really are as brave and handsome as they say. But onto the matter at hand and please allow me to finish. Although it isn't my typical work, I could animate the fallen dead and strike the Altherians from behind. It would draw their attention from the castle and you could have the civilians move elsewhere safely. Or you could strike them from two fronts. A simple but effective tactic, and it would have the elements of fear and surprise as well. And unlike striking with sorcery which also instills fear the threat continues to persist at the rear, they cannot simply press forward harder and hope to slay the sorcerer. They must fight both sides or risk a sooner annihilation. The only part of this plan you may object to, asides from using the dead in such a manner, is that I will have to be outside the walls and amongst the fallen to raise the banner. That is a simple enough manner to address though, one of the creatures here who can fly can take me out there, and then whisk me off if danger closes in. What do you think?"

Blitz: oh you leave the Blind guy don't you! you know how hard it is to find this place when you can't see?!

Caim: no that won't work. instead, stand at the back of our warriors and animate the corpses of our enemies it would cause panic and surprise among the other soldiers, we don't have any beasts that could fly you in other than my red dragon, but the moment its gone we lose our advantage, or you can enter the battle on my dragon with me and when i jump off you can use your magic from in the air and they wouldn't know it was you, but it can by hard to aim because in battle my dragon has to avoid arrows and magic.

[leans against the stone wall behind him]

Caim: but i don't want our own soldiers reanimated that way we always know who our enemies are. and scouts say there is about a million soldiers heading this way. all we can do is wait.

Zex: Bwahahaha you got left behind whilst even I the former enemy was brought here! Quite the feat finding us though, especially when your blind, even I find it respectable

[Places the final seals and waits til he is odered to activate the lightning barrier]

Caim: and he [points at zex] just locked us in if we touch that barrier we are as dead as the enemies, but it bears another strategy, enemies that hit that barrier and die can be reanimated from behind that barrier causing us no harm till zex dies.

"I can put them down as easily as I raise them, Lord Caim, easier in fact. They won't harm your men. But I see your point, I'll raise just theirs once a fair number of corpses have piled up and then just fly me to the area above or behind their rear and I'll get down to the ground myself. Trust me, I'm not suicidal. My plan will work, and I'll be able to animate more corpses to assist you. Forcing them to fight your men, their own friend's bodies, and troops at their rear. But I'll leave the final decision with you. You are, after all, the military commander here, however I would much rather be with you and your dragon than cooped up in the rear."

"If he's any good he can create a small opening for us, and no I won't be able to animate them. The way that barrier is designed the bodies will be too damaged to be reanimated, even necromancy has it's limits, Lord Caim. Of course, the enemy likely has a sorcerer there who will be able to take it down, given enough time. He's likely in the rear."

Bitz: subaru i knew an idiot would lead us into battle but i didn't think it would be so soon.

Subaru: i know, i know.

Caim: you may think so but my brother is smart, he knows we will have some sort of magic, and being as though we used necromancy last time, he will have his magic users close to the front just in case to dis-arm us

Angeles: and that kid is about eight years old.

Caim: he will probably send in the magic-resistant armor as well, and i have seen some necromancers bring back people that are missing all flesh and some bones, but considering you are on this side means you probably weren't strong enough to get into the altherion army. after all, unlike that kid, you have darkness in your eyes. meaning you only joined for the bloodshed no matter which side you are on.

Caim: and it is not a matter of them hurting us but a matter of not the enemy fighting themselves and us which is another advantage

"Perhaps, I know not where I'm from, nor how old I am. All I know of necromancy is from books, and I have not read all that is in this one since I awoke that fateful day. Perhaps, in time, I will be able to fully realize your expectations. If I have darkness in my eyes it is from a past life, one I cannot remember. All I know of myself is that there was a letter addressed to a "Revy" where I awoke and this pendant, though I know not it's meaning. I've had some people react oddly to that before though, so I assume it has something to do with my origin."

Caim: nonetheless we should reach our battle stations, the enemy is here

[angeles stands up and stretches her wings as Caim climbs aboard]

Revy jumped up on the back of Angeles just as he began to take off. "By the way, I've earned another name since my waking." She pulled her gloves on tight. "Revy of the Strings." Silver thread flew out from her gloves and intercepted a fireball that had gotten through. "Silver Shield!" The threads flew out ready to intercept arrows and other spellsl while still remaining unobtrusive to Angeles' flying or their vision. "Enchanted silver threads, just the thing for dealing with powerful undead amongst other things."

Eric: grrrrrrrr dammit { he runs after angeles following revy and caim}

Rei: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! { the commotion wakes him up and he wakes up like hes possesed} ................... { grins evily as he walks outside casually as he encounters the enemy as they rush him} HAAAAAHHH!!! { he slashes through them as he starts rushing through the soldiers annilating everythng and anyone in his path} I"M SO TIRED!!!!!!!!! AND YOU THINK U CAN WAKE ME UP!!!!!!!!!! { his speed increases as he knocks through the soldiers like their nothing} GRAAAHHHH!!!!

Zex: heh time for battle[Opens a hole in barrier just in time for Eric to pass through unharmed] What an idiot... Well lets see what else I can do...[Looks around to find something to use] Oh ho, a barrel of oil, I know what to use this for bwahaha, i'll save it for later

Eric: heh { he jumps through the portal and appears infront of the enemy tropps and he holds his spear out} RAAAAHHHHH!!! TASTE THE POWER OF THE ALUCARD SPEAR!!!! { he dashes through 10 soldiers as he then spins around and cuts down a few more troops and he then jumps up and lands down on a soldier into a mash pit with rei}

Eric and rei: GRAAAAAHHH!!!! { start cutting down the soldiers}

As the bodies piled up Revy nodded. "Angeles, begin taking more evasive maneuvers. I'm going to begin using my necromancy." She shouted before she secured herself and her book to the dragon with her strings. She pulled out some strange items to amplify her magic and they went up in smoke as below bodies began picking themselves up and cutting down the Altherian troops, some had been as Caim had said, been reduced to less than bones. She leaned against Caim, breathing heavily for a few seconds before she surveyed the battlefield once more and returning to her defensive screen. "Alright Caim, I lied a little, I can animate almost any corpse. I just wanted to try and impress you. Now then, will you have Angeles fly over the enemy's rear so I can jump down and bring more troops to bear upon them?"

Zex: Heh now seems like a suitable time to use this oil [Zex proceeds to use a fireball to heat the oil] ok now to spread this over then enemy troops, Scion of destruction, King of winds grand me a whirlwind! [Zex tosses the barrel into the air and an instantaneous burst of wind carried the liquid fire acorss the battlefield covering the troops] Ohhhh I can already smell the searing flesh kahaha burn you weaklings!

Rei: { covered in his enemies blood like his legs his arms and his sword and his face he flashes back to his time with altherion} RAAAAHHH!!! { he cuts down more soldiers and then he blocks and he cuts down some more} TAKE THIS NEOS GENERATIONS! { he jumps up as glowing rings cover his sword as he swings cutting the air as pillars of light arise from the ground and erupt around the soldiers cutting down their numbers}

Eric: { he jumps off rei also covered but not as much in his enemies blood like parts of his face and his spear} JUST WATCH! { glowing black spheres appear around him and a giant transmutation circle like thing appears below the soldiers feet and he moves his ar as the spehers cras into the soldiers and they start staticing} LUCIFER SPEAR!!!!!...............ERUPTION! { he throws the spear into the transmutation circle as theirs a giant explosion and hen lands and catches his spear}

After Caim had jumped off to engage the enemy himself Revy sat and surveyed the battlefield, the ploy was working, but not for much longer. "Caim...there's just too many. It was a good plan, I think it shall go down in textbooks as the Caim Gambit. Don't you think, Angeles?" She patted the dragon. "There are powerful men here, but there are just too many." The lightning barrier flickered as if to accentuate Revy's point. "The little sorcerer should be nearing his limit soon. It's amazing that such a young boy could perform such a feat and still move, most mortal spellcasters shouldn't have been able to create one that powerful on their own, but he will be tiring soon. If not from the magic than from that little demon trying to wriggle it's way out." The lucifer spear eruption goes off, casting Revy in a crimson light. "I will buy you enough time to get your master, his men, and the civilians out. Fall back, regroup, and fight another day. I'm not an Aquiron and besides, he said it himself, there's evil in my eyes. I'm going to go work a little of it off." What little of her shadow was upon Angeles seemed giddy almost eager as she jumped off the dragon. "Take care of your master for me!" Silver wires could be seen unraveling from around the dragon's rump, the only time Revy was actually in free fall was the last dozen feet or so and she cut down any soldiers in her immediate vicinity, using their bodies as a cushion. She smiled as she found herself at the enemy's rear, within sight of the last battle that had occurred.

A foul darkness surrounded Revy and seemed to explode a short distance an instant later as the fallen soldiers began picking themselves up. Revy smiled sweetly and began skipping backwards towards her own little army. "Come on, let's play tag, you're all it!" The legs of half a dozen men were cut out from under them and the rest of the rank began chasing after Revy.
