They were apparenty "impressed" by his skills in international events and his adequate progress through world conflicts and obstacles. Even Obama was surprised.lol...This makes him the third president to get it behind Roosevelt and Wilson too. Cool.

He hasn't done anything extremely significant so far, in my eyes at least. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't want the 'Bama squad to smite me but still... I get the whole 'I'm going to preach wonderful things but act on them fairly little' vibe from him.

What has he done to win this coveted prize? More people are surprised for him getting it than anything else. I'm not here to bash him, but I don't remember any of his actions that went for peace. He still needs to jump start our economy. Even Obama was surprised for winning it.

There was some work Obama did when he first entered the senate or whatever. I wish I knew more about it. Other than that I was thinking it as representation to america itself. A few articles explain some of this.
