Anyone still playing .Hack//chat or kyat?

While trying to find more info on .hack link I came across stuff from 2005 about .hack chat being shut down and then after that .hack kyat popped up in the US being run by fans. I really want to try, so my question is still runing and if so where and how?

I believed that one ended early last year.

I was on the original .hack//chat. However, I think that it failed after awhile. Even if it still is around, I doubt there are that many people still on it.
