That stuff is also heavily editted to fit into the market and target age group, and for the ability to be published in Shounen Monthly. Viz has a tendancy of doing that, as they did with Bleach. Examples include: Giving Matsumoto an undershirt when they started running Bleach in Shounen Jump, also putting a blanket over Kon's hand when he's scratching his nether reigns.

So please don't go on something that America has edited. Hidan is very curse happy. As was Tayuya.

The frog was impaled on screen. The one Danzo killed was not. Pa took the receiving end of one of Pains rods and a reverse Shinra Tensei... And DIED. Ummm... Its gory by Shounen standards. Goku had a gaping hole, so did Piccolo. Freeza was flying around with half a body for a while. And then half a head. Trunks had a gaping hole. Cell lost half his body. Yamcha had a gaping hole. Vegeta had a gaping hole. Nearly every DBZ character has a had a gaping hole.Kenshin basically cut his wife in half. Ichigo got a hole blown in his chest. He and Kenpachi nearly cut each other in half. Kakashi stuck his arm through Hakus chest. Hidan WAS DECAPIATED...TWICE! Yami Yugi set a man on fire. Before Killua became a good boy, he was slicing heads in half.

I hoping they edit less stuff, but I doubt it. Well hopeful it won't be major editing to the extreme like in some other countries. Oh gosh in some other countries they edit the hell out of everything. A few swearing words like damn, or ass would not be that bad, but people would be complaining. LOL think of the complaining parents would be doing in a non edited version of the Hidan, and Kakuzu arc.

My point exactly. Thats what I've been trying to get across. Naruto on CN was edited to some degree, as when Naruto stabbed his had to get rid of poison, the edit version had him miss an apple bite. So if Naruto were to be on Disney, which is a channel aimed toward actual children and not the demographic its intended for, its going to contain HEAVY edits.

I haven't considered that until now...but you know, it IS very likely to happen. Perhaps not in KH, but yes in a videogame where all those characters are put together...a DISNEY videogame.

Uhm, okay, I don't see your logic here, because even in the anime, which had been subbed by Dattebayo, had whoever cursed up a storm in your so-called "fansubbed" version, curse up a storm in the anime as well, and seeing as how Dattebayo was an actual official group who did this stuff, yeah, I'm going to say that Viz is censoring a lot. And don't say that they can't have cursed like crazy. Even Naruto has his points where he very clearly screams, IN THE ANIME "Kuso!" or "Chikushou!" repeatly, and for those who learned enough Japanese to curse at someone, both of those either mean "S*&T!" or "Damn it!" or even occasionally, the f-bomb. Therefore, yes, Viz already edits the hell out of them, the fansubs are not merely fansubs, but actual translations. That can be proven with any manga that is read online, countered with the ones put out in America. But you won't believe that, you believe any mangas put online are immediately fansubbed and are not the way they're meant to be written if you see one curse word. Let's face it, Naruto's in puberty, his hormones are raging, he's going to curse a LOT.

I think that's what Haseo was trying to point out, that Vi- sorry, DISNEY is going to censor the ever-loving bejesus out of Shippuuden, and that you're obviously biased by having only read the Viz produced edition of the Manga, where everything is happy-go-lucky, and everything can be settled with just a hug.

Your logic astounds me here, yes, this isn't another manga, however, naruto still has its quite gory parts. Itachi coughing up blood for an entire fight, the entire Uchiha clan being slaughtered, Jiraiya being pretty much butchered when fighting against Pein, and the artist having gone into detail as his throat was crushed, he was impaled repeatedly, and his arm was chopped off before being thrown into the water he was fighting near. Sure, it's no Berserk, but it still has its blood and gore. Shippuuden should be targeted for the slightly older crowd, as the characters are all older in the anime. If Disney had gotten the first few seasons of Naruto, where he's still 11, sure, that would make sense, however, it's going to be brutal fighting and murder. Disney's probably going to even edit Deidara threatening to blow up the Sand village, saying he'll shower them with Care Bears instead.

Fansubs. Lets get the definition of that, shall we? Better yet, read this.

People fansub and scanlate don't insert the curse words just because the feel like it. The put them there for the simple fact that that is what the characters are saying. Why do something if your not going to do it right. And again, Dubbers have problems with the cursing issue. When translating and then script writing, they have to take out the curse words and add in a word or phrase that still can match the mouth movememnt AND retain the original meaning. At a convention, where the producers and cast of Naruto where talking about the dubbing process, Mailie Flannagan was talking about how hard it was just to let Naruto say "What the freak is that?!". I'm betting you know what the original word was.

The English manga has no cursing to fit its demographic. What they did with DBZ the first time around, the did with Naruto. Only difference is they didn't put Naruto on at 5AM. Now if they targeted Naruto towards its right age group, it would look something like the English Translation of Getbackers. Ban curses like a sailor, and it shows.

Additionally, Naruto will indeed likely receive more edits than it would have if were still airing on Cartoon Network. Disney XD's standards are much more strict than Cartoon Network's.

How do I put this? Parents and Disney are like banned books. If anything is that bad a parent will complain. Just look at the episodes of pokemon they won't show because of parents.

If only Cartoon Network did not have Stuart Snyder. He is messing up everything on CN. They did not buy the rights back for Naruto meaning they can't show it on on CN. If only CN still had Toonami. It should show on Adult Swim as if won't be edited to death. Disney is aim for younger kids. Sure we can by the uncut DVD, but I'm sure people don't have the money to keep buying them all. Its too much to keep paying for 1 to 5 episodes. There a level of violence, and swearing with ratings. Now if they took a unedited Shippuden there is no doubt that the ratings would be M maybe TV14 on some episodes. Gosh you wonder what some scenes would be like. If we see Disney on the news about Naruto complains that won't surprise me. I wonder how can you edit some parts in Shippuden without taking almost everything out. I feel bad for some other counties. US does not have the worse of the editing. In some others places they just really took the wtf is this **** level way to far. Now I know others places have there on rules to follow on what can be put on tv, but they really can edit the hell out of things. You can watch others dubs, and be like damn that is not as bad as the US version.
