I wouldn't bother... I'd be expecting Dragonball all over again.

Well, considering its being directed by a semi-competent director (M. Night Shamalamadingdong), it might actually be something. And from what the teaser trailer showed, it looks like it has more than just crappy graphics. And Aang does look like Aang. And his Airbending did look like Air Bending.

Yeah, kinda. But with M. Knight's movies its either a hit or miss, and then the twist. Usually he only does well with the ones that get their exciting parts near the end. Also, in order to make the movie "un-boring" for people who've already seen the series, yet not too far from the storyline, he can't really make it a one film movie. I mean, can you imagine them going from finding Aang, to stopping Ozai in all of 2 hours? And that's with random fights with Zuko, Azula, and somehow learning the other 3 elements. It's just not possible without making it a disappointment.

Personally, this is something I really didn't want to happen; Avatar was great as a cartoon show, but I can't picture it as a live-action movie :\ Although the graphics don't seem bad at all, hopefully they won't screw up the story too much.

Also, here's the trailer for anyone that wants to watch it:

The cinematics look absolutely stunning, but it's the story that they might mess up. Knowing Shamalan, Aang could very well realize that he died 40 years ago at the end of the movie.

I smell a montage.

As far as I know there were rumors that he was going to make 3 movies, from each of the books of the story; because yeah, he can't really make a whole 2 -3 hours movie without cutting practically most of the plot.

Yea, its planned as a trilogy, so its most likely going to be faithful to the series, with added differences of course. Though of the Cave of Two Lovers song is cut out, along with the roaming nomads, I am so going to be pissed off.

Lately there has been lots of anime series screw ups. I guessing it will be a alternate storyline. I can't see how this will turn out good without making a alternate storyline. Well will this be yet another anime/game screw up, or will it be a movie that the fans can accept?
