I don't think so. Azalan might think that. I think he just means to say that you're very popular on this board.

I didn't know you were in college! Good luck! You'll do just fine. If you don't mind me asking, what are you majoring in?

Random talking about facts as it has always been, like some recent posts about starting school/college soon. It just happened to be about gaming recently because of me posting, but everything still goes D:Mirus wrote:

Good luck with college though, just be yourself and do your best and it'll be all fine and awesome :3

It's funny how fast the Random Facts topic can change subject so quickly. I mean, it was about 2 pages talking about video games, then it all of a sudden switched to talking about drinking.

Actually im in college and highschool at the same time because of a special program called dual enrollment!Azure Knight wrote:I didn't know you were in college! Good luck! You'll do just fine. If you don't mind me asking, what are you majoring in?
I'm just doing it to save some money and taking advantage of it since I was lucky enough - very lucky- to join!
In other words.. im 17 year old junior in higschool during the morning and freshman in college during the afternoon.. the classes I have in the highschool are just electives and physics, the ones at the college are more core classes like english, math, ect ect
I only had two choices for the dual enrollment: Medical or engeneering.
As much as i'd love to save people's lives I'd also hate messing up and harming a pacient so I picked engeneering.. but that's not really what I want to be when I grow up
Note: Sorry for anything that isnt spelled correctly

Re: The people of this board.
I've heard of some people doing dual enrollment programs. I may consider it, but I don't know if they offer it at my school, or even in my state.
You know, you don't always have to work with patients when you're a doctor. I've considered going into Medicine but I have the same fears as you. You could do things like researching, or work in a Pathology or Radiology lab, become a Medical Examiner (something I've considered doing), etc, etc. However, they are both very good professions. My grandfather used to be an engineer, and he said it is a very good job with good money, and are always in high demand.
So if you don't want to work in Medicine or Engineering, what would you consider doing?

Design!
Videogame design, webpage design fashion design character design!
I know it's silly though, and there are probably people out there better than me so >_<
I have to stick to something that will get me money for sure
So engineering or modeling

Engineering can be considered design in a way, if you were to invent things. So, you may be able to kill two birds with one stone there.

Yeah but bridge design is not the same as fashion and web pages
It can still be beautiful but just not the art i'm striving for -or enjoy, or am good at-
how about you ?
You should really join dual enrollment if your school offers it!

Re: The people of this board.
I've always wanted to work in Criminal Justice. Exactly what, I'm not sure yet, but I've considered becoming an investigator, a forensic scientist, a prosecutor, a medical examiner, etc, etc. I guess you can say that my interest in those fields stemmed out of my obsession with cop shows. I've always wanted to work in science, and forensics has recently piqued my interests, which got me to look into the other professions I mentioned.
I doubt that my school offers dual enrollment, just because it's a private school, so I don't think I'd be able to do it.

No, it's not that, I've been going to private school all my life, and, not to blow my own horn, but it's one of the top ten private schools in Los Angeles, and I was lucky enough to get into it, so I've been going there since Kindergarten.

In that case, you shouldn't have a problem getting a hold of a decent scholarship, so you don't really need dual enrollment
That's very nice (^-^) I admire you now
Not that i didn't before

Thank you! I always feel kinda weird when I talk about what school I go to, because I don't want to make it seem like I'm bragging...
So if you want to go into design, do you plan to switch majors after graduating high school?

Re: The people of this board.
usually the first two years of college are the basics so really, for any career you need some sort of language class besides and English class, math science etc
Also I don't think you need an college degree to be a fashion designer (?)
But I still wish to have a university education, whether I use the degree or not I can still get a decent job and not be ashamed or disrespected
I'm actually a pretty indecisive person, I love doing lots of different things and doing the same thing over and over would bore me
I'm also not too much of the confident type..

Re: The people of this board.
I don't think you need a college degree, but I believe that they offer it and it definetly helps when you apply for a job.
I'm also very indicisive, which is why I'm having trouble deciding between the different jobs that I talked about in my previous posts, among other career possibilities.
There are times when I lack confidence in myself, too. But if you really try at something, whatever it is, you can almost always succeed in whatever you're trying to do.

Re: The people of this board.
Well, the careers you've mentioned are closely related, so you can try them all with the same degree?
