It's okay Kuukai. Nobody knows what everything is from the get go. Hell, I'm still learning combos for Carl. He's hard to use, but well worth it once you start learning his combos. Especially when you start sending the doll after your opponent while you sit back and watch. Quite cool once you figure out how to maneuver.

just one of the reasons why I'm maining Carl
also, Carl's astral heat takes a lot of skill to use effectively, seeing as it's technically a time-bomb... tell me if you work out a strategy for using it

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
Lol, it's kinda like Chipp's. I remember with one of my goofier friends, the first time I did it he dodged to the other end of the screen, but then walked all the way back over and into it because he though "it might be a good thing." So, surprise is always a good strategy...

I already watched the Blu-ray disc and I asked you if you could share these combos that "easily take out maybe 3 quarters of your life bar"DotHack-Haseo wrote:No problem. It's called watching the blu-ray disc that the game came with and practicing those combos. They are actually pretty useful. You should look into it. There are plenty of combos where you don't have to mass spam her chain revolver.Vahn Staffear wrote:Would you mind sharing these combos for those of us who think you're talking loads of ****. Like me for example. : )DotHack-Haseo wrote: I abuse the hell out of the Chain Revolver combos, but I also tie them in with other combos. Hell, if I'm in the right position, I can easily take out maybe 3 quarters of your life bar in one combo, assuming you don't block the whole thing.
The chain revolver isn't specifically cheap. If I use the chain revolver and your hit by it, is it not your fault for not seeing it coming? It's not my fault if you don't know how to block, my friend. And besides, even if the opponent does wind up seeing it coming, I just switch up the fighting style is all and go with a whole different set of combos that has nothing to do with chain revolver. It's not that hard.
On second thought you don't even have to list them, I'd rather play your Noel myself and judge how good you are. My PSN is Vahnyamato.

Speaking of which, is there anyone here who's over level 30 and willing to take a fall in a couple of player matches to help out dear old Kuukai?

I'm always down for some games. Just send me a message if I'm online.
I'm not gonna give you a match though

Lame... ;_; All I want is the trophy, then you can do whatever you want with me... I'm still required to play like 400 matches for the other ones...

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
if I were an online gamer.. I'd probably be around level 19-22 ._.'... but imo those only count as labels. I bet you could probably find a level 10 out there that can easily beat a level 40 in terms of skill

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
I don't see how that could possibly be true for this game, leveling is practically instant compared to, say, Soul Calibur 4 or something... I haven't done ranked matches though so I dunno how the level you get in player matches is related to that. It seems weird that you even have some form of a "rank" outside of "ranked matches," but who am I to argue?

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
so I take it that you basically gain a level with each match you win online? what kind of a level system is that ._.'?Kuukai wrote:I don't see how that could possibly be true for this game, leveling is practically instant compared to, say, Soul Calibur 4 or something

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
It depends on who you're fighting. You probably won't level if you're the same, but if you fight someone at a much higher level and win you jump several levels. That's why I'm looking for someone to help me out... ^^;;;

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
Well, I'm a decently high level.
My PSN is GawdComplex
Feel free to challenge me. I can't play till my PS3 get's fixed however. My video plug in the back of my PS3 went kaputsky, and now I gotta replace it. Should be fixed by the first of the month. But, feel free to add me, and I'll use my friends HDMI to be able to see the picture so I can accept your invites. I wouldn't mind taking a fall though Kuukai XD
But, just be patient while I get my PS3 fixed. It's just the normal red white and yellow cables plug that is broken. So, it won't take much to replace it.

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
Any PS2 cable (I forget what PS1 ones look like, maybe those too) should be compatible, just so you know...
Also, I'm now 100% done with the story modes and still absolutely lost. Somehow Japanese Wikipedia has all the answers, though... Got the CG I'm missing down to 8 pics, and as far as I can tell one of them is probably Rachel's trophy, one of them is Score Attack, and the rest of them no one's figured out yet...

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
That's not the case. It's the plug in the back of the PS3 that's busted. Not the cord. Which is the problem. If I could replace it myself I would, but I guess I'm going to have to send it in the PS3 itself.Kuukai wrote:Any PS2 cable (I forget what PS1 ones look like, maybe those too) should be compatible, just so you know...

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
Ah, that sucks...
Sweet, Special CG #33 is now the only non-trophy thing I'm missing. I think you can get a lot of the CG just making it up to Jin in Score Attack...
EDIT:
Also, damn damn damn. Ragna in Score Attack is like impossible to beat... Nu and Hakumen were both cakewalks but then here comes Unlimited BlazBlue freakin' kidou Ragna and he's all DUR DUR DUR I EAT YOUR HEALTH!!! I think I'm gonna cry...

Re: BlazBlue, spiritual successor to Guilty Gear
Well, this video is kind of old. It's from when I first got the game, and thus just mass spammed the chain revolver to no end. I don't play like this anymore. I play more strategically now, and don't spam it as much anymore.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZrO6yVNzmM
So, please. Don't think that this is my current fighting level. I'm way above this now.

Can you upload a power-play how-to-beat-Score-Attack-Ragna video?
