Re: District 9
I'm still confused as to what this is about... robots and aliens?
I've just been seeing things like "NO ROBOTS ALLOWED AT THIS BUS STOP" at the bus stops around the city. No trailers, though.

Re: District 9
watch the latest trailer on yahoo.
the story is about the alien race mostly who have Advance weapons that the goverment wants, but the only way to use the weapons is to have the alien DNA in you or w.e
this reporter dude gets sprayed by a Virus that mutates his DNA or somethin and he has to hide in District 9 because the goverments after him because their weapon loving ass holes. he uses the alien weapons agenst the goverment or somethin, I guess the aliens try to help the guy because they dont want their weapons to get into the human goverment's hands.
like Optimus Prime said to the goverment guy "Our weapons would most definaly bring more harm than good"

Re: District 9
Though if you read the plot of the short film it's based on, the humans are just responding predictably to the fact that some aliens were using their technology to commit crimes, and the aliens themselves weren't doing much about it. So nobody's really innocent...

Please tell me this isn't going to be another shakey cam film. I really can't stand that some times.

Re: District 9
no doesnt look that way, only a few parts prob like News camras and such but Im sure its not like Cloverfield.
Sure it gives it a more Realistic feeling, but it gets annoying after a while.

I was totally clue less as to what it was though...made me look around.
Didn't know there was a movie about it, by the way is it out on DVD already?
I'd like to watch it

District 9 is a fantastic movie and if you haven't seen it yet, you should go see it immediately. The same is true for Inglourious Basterds.

I know it's late and all but I finally watched the movie, I liked it though i made me wnat to throw up at some parts... shouldnt have eaten popcorn
Also made me want to cry, I'm actually pretty depressed right now because of the movie (Don't like sad movies)
It was worth watching (Actually that is an understatement) I just dont like the feeling I have at the moment x_x;
Ah, it also made me laugh!

I loved District 9. With the way it was portrayed I couldn't spoil it for everyone. It leaves me with such a powerful feeling.

“Everythings a choice. Nobody's born good. Nobody's born evil. It's always a choice.”― Tom Hiddleston
Re: District 9
I liked that it was a essentially an action movie with a middle-aged South African paper pusher as the protagonist. You don't even need aliens for that to be awesome, though it helped...
On the other hand, I hate it when something's done documentary style and completely breaks the forth wall. The whole film is presented as a documentary, but who is it for? Who the hell filmed it? How did everyone else know the alien's name in the interviews at the end? Maybe they just watched the first part, but that still doesn't make sense because no one was there...
