Axis Powers Hetalia

Post by Tri-edgeXHaseo fan »

Seriously, is there really not a topic of such a mind corrupting and controversial anime?

Does anyone even like APH?

I hate it after ALL the members in another forum i'm in got completely obsessed with it and even started to refer themselves as the "countries" and even looked up the language of each country to speak it, and when i looked for it and saw it myself, only saw a "cute" anime full of guys who are supposed to be countries surrounded by "cute" love and becoming pairs and all that while it's supposed to happen in a "World War" setting.....

And it seems like both you and bloodwolf became victims of it's mind control >3> lol
I'm not. I can be brainwashed quite easy by other things, but not by a manga/anime which is fully made to be all about pairings and cuteness all over and it instantly makes me imagine fangirls squealing all over it XD (And all the members brainwashed in that forum are all girls who easily fall into the description of "crazy fangirl", so yeah, at least it easily explains it with them...)

See, I like Hetalia. It's quirky fun. XD
There's definitely a sense that the show is encouraging these pairings, but that kind of pandering is really nothing new to anime, now is it? Beyond the fangirl fodder is pretty funny depictions of the countries themselves.

My boyfriend cannot stop quoting and watching this show. And he keeps drawing Italy and Germany into yaoi.

I love this anime.

It definitely helps me remember my history. You know, I think I'll ask my history teacher if we could watch some episodes.

I think Hetalia should be shone in schools. It's educational and funny, minus the somewhat yaoi reference.

The one reason Hetalia started being really popular was that Korea was being really pushy on not having people watch it. The funny thing is that Korea, either one, isn't even represented as a country. However, Hetalia is a good anime, and I'm not under mind control. I just love how every country is depicted. America really is a burger inhaling Yank after all.

I have known of Hetalia for months, but the thing is, I have never seen it and personally don't feel like watching it; I don't know, maybe in a very distant future I will, but given the hype it has for now it annoys me a little.
