I'm my own person.-_- I understand It does a show good to have a filler every once in a while. takes the edge off.

I watched the Dragon Ball Z series growing up and it was great. I still think it's a must see for anyone into anime (same with dragon ball... didn't know there was a dragon ball till later though) but what else CAN they do? Goku's already died about five times now and super saiyan... well even the writers got bored of that and had to invent "fusion" to spice stuff up. -_-" Why are they starting to repeat? I thought anime would be endless with no cliches... but perhaps not

Yea but for what most ppl have been saying that the shows stupid and its a waste of time. Well that's your opinion. I personally love the DB, DBZ, and DBGT series. They got me to love anime. If you like anime but not any of the DB series then w/e but you shouldn't knock it cus you dont like it. I mean come on there are some really big fans out there. So big in fact that they made their own DB series. Its called DragonBall AF. And you know it is repetitive. But thats what makes it good. Atleast to me. It aint meant for kids. Sure the American versionmight be but i remember seeing an episode where bulma went in to go the bathroom and master roshi wasin the toilet looking up at her and it showed everything. Plus all the gore. So in my opinion Its a great anime and the movie will prolly be good.

It's more like...heavy-but-crappy Photoshop work and drawings in attempts to either fool people or even themselves into believing that a new series was coming with more fusions and super saiyan levels and some other crap. I'm not saying that i think Dragon Ball is crap, but Dragon Ball AF is nothing but a joke. Literally.

And though DBZ became more violent, at least the original Dragon Ball (both manga and anime) was directed at little kids and contained several stuff that kids would easily enjoy. Sure, it had nudity and some bathroom scenes, but all of them are comical because apparently the japanese like to use nudity for humor or something like that...

I'm a big fan of all DB series and most of my friends knew(although they didn't watch anime)..

I watched it since I'm a kid...unfortunately Akira Toriyama will not continue the series anymore ...
However ,I think there is no need new dragon ball series coz I think DBGT already conclude all of the story..

If there is new DB series,it is better make by their true creator(Toriyama)..

Flash back 9 years ago when DBZ/DB were just the "in" thing. Things were going so well DBZ was on top of the world, everyone knew who Goku was. At a fitting end to DBZ all was well, Vegeta settled down and Goku took a bath with someone else's nude kid(c'mon that was messed). Was a fitting end to a great series......Then GT ugh, was almost like the writers purposely set out to write a story to absolutely drag the name "Dragonball" through the mud. That was the point where it went spiraling down, They pumped out horrible after horrible episode until the masses pleaded for mercy before finaling killing a horrid series. Put the tombstone in the ground and call it a day right? Well sell the rights to your series to a movie studio a few years later just to make sure everyone knows Dragonball once lived and let them kill whatevers left of your street credit.(I laugh uncontrollably everytime I see clips of that movie) And now this? If the only thing they can do right with this series is to never ever ever mention Goku's name at all. He atleast deserves that.

DBZ is going the route of Naruto now. Take a strong franchise with a huge fanbase, kill it; leave it dead in the water for awhile, revive whats left of it and kill it again.

I'm glad and there's going to be another DB series because anyway you look at it, it was awesome. I also agree they took things too far at some points, but it was a great anime and some of those things made it awesome. For example; the first time Goku went Super Sayian

To use Americans, Dragonball is the prequel to DBZ. To the Jap's, its the series in its entirety.

And Dragon Ball Kai is going to be a revision of the sries, following more closely with the manga than its predecessor.

Dragon Ball Kai is a remastered remake of Dragon Ball Z in the Blu-Ray High Definition format. It began airing in japan a few weeks ago. Its currently on Episode 3, not much change from the original, but its new opening and ending are catchy tuned and beautiful and a digitally remastered Raditz is scary.

The new opening and ending can go to hell. Why aren't they by Hironobu Kageyama? He couldn't have been too expensive or busy, he's done a new song for each of like the last 4 Dragonball games by Dimps... I'm boycotting until Kai^2...

Well, he didn't sing it either. And yeah, I like Masaaki Endou. He's only done a handful of songs solo, but they're basically all favorites of mine (Yuushaou Tanjou, Abaranger theme, Live in Baghdad). But, Hironobu Kageyama isn't in his vocalist supergroup, now is he? Kageyama is an amazing composer on top of being an amazing singer, and deserves his fame. More relevantly, he and Dragonball Z are joined at the hip. Separating them is just weird...
