The Gran Turismo Series
This was the first racing game that I ever played, since it's birth on the PS1. I've been a fan ever since. I own all five games, hopefully six when they finish GT5. So who here, is a fan of this prestigious series?

Re: The Gran Turismo Series
Not my first racing game since that was Ridge Racer, not my favorite either since that's Burnout, but talk to me about Gran Turismo 1 and 2. I LOVED those games when i played them several years ago, and i still love them. I'll never forget about the music, the courses, and the liscences...mainly those ones, which took me up to weeks to get them sometimes, and they're a feature i haven't really seen in any other racing name, and if there are then it's most likely nowhere as good as it was in GT. In fact, i just played GT2 few months ago, and enjoyed so much as i got my childhood memories back.
I didn't keep track of the series later though...i was dissappointed by A-Spec and i don't remember why but it had to do with the controlling and some features, and i stopped buying the new ones after that :/

There is no use moving back, you can't trace back your path

Time has passed since we had last met, but we never meet without farewell

A-spec was a bit dissapointing because of it's variety. You had fewer cars plus fewer courses coming in from GT2, that had about 500 cars and 46 courses. Then the A.I. was reduced for more gameplay reasons, which is also an upset. And some modification options were also limited, along with camera angles. GT4 did a little better, with the introduction of Real-world tracks and a few originals that weren't in GT3, but the fixed chase camera during gameplay made it difficult to drive a bit. GT5's just filling in were GT4 left off, so you're not missing anything exciting. I wish I had the first one back though.TheSorrow wrote:Not my first racing game since that was Ridge Racer, not my favorite either since that's Burnout, but talk to me about Gran Turismo 1 and 2.
