Witchblade

Has anyone else watched this brilliantly done series? I was hooked near the end of the very first episode. Too bad it's one of those GOOD animes that last for like, 30 episodes.-_- Thoughts on this series?

My thoughts are, I would rather they finished the first, live action, series which originated in America in 2000.

I watched it entirely, it's one those anime you expect to be either a fanservice anime with fights and little plot development(Ikkitousen) or a serious anime with hummmm...... well-developed female characters that symply seen out-of-place(Divergence Eve).
It turns out to be neither of them, the plot suffers from Gonzo syndrome(slow, too melodramatic and no definitive ending) and there is barely any fanservice, which should be good if there was good fights, but there aren't.... this anime is just like Dragonaut, good but don't live up to the expectation, one of the few things you may like is the..... character design, if you know what I mean.

Strange one of those series that was based on American Comics, so I understand the very Ikkitousen feel to it, but it's not really one of my favorites. I'll give it credit as a decent show though. But what I really want to see (since they made Witchblade) is an Anime rendition of The Darkness...

If I could have a comic turned into an anime I'd choose Ninjak from Valiant Comics. The company went under because parents found the comics to be too violent and sexually oriented. I kinda agree, but now-a-days people are used to that. The storylines from MOST of Valiant's comic series would make good movies and shows.

Witchblade was a great anime!

I loved the plot of the story, it got me hooked.Animation was awesome, but the fight scenes in my opinion could have been longer. It was kind of annoying how some characters were killed so quickly, I didn't know how to respond to that..
There was fanservice, and the nudity was very risque(why bother covering things up?!) But overall, I did enjoy the series.
