I actually did as well. The game looked like it was going to go into the slant of man vs creator (which in a way it did) but shifting over to the they're just video game characters
was a better path for it to take in my opinion. I was enjoying the game up till that point and thinking at the same time, don't pull the other stunt. So I was pleased when they did not.
Overall, though not the best game ever, I certainly enjoyed it well enough. I've beaten it once and I've done most of the bonus dungeons that become available once that task is done. One of these days I'll get around to unlocking the last level of difficulty just for the lolz and to get a different ending. And to change the affection between characters so like SunfallE was talking about, I'll have different catch phrases in battle as well.

It helps if you know what to do to alter the affection level of the characters. Since you keep getting the solo ending you must not be hitting enough of the skits to alter the affection. It's a little too long to explain every point in the game where you can affect it so instead I'll just point you to this FAQ. Fair warning, it does contain spoilers. The warning is only for others who have yet to play the game. Anyway... Affection levelsJust pick the character you want to get an ending with and follow the answers you need to give to get the best response.
I've yet to do it to get a different ending, but I did trigger some of them to, at the very least, guarantee that I would get an ending with another character. My first time around it was with Albel, next time it will, of course, be someone else.

Thanks. I've actually read through that one before, but for some reason I always forget to look at it when I'm playing.
Thanks Alkaid_Loves_Haseo for the avi.

o_O Well that's no good. I like this game enough that I'd end up finding a way to replace it. But then I'm halfway through the main storyline on the hard level and nearing the end of the final bonus dungeon in the normal level. Good thing for memory cards yes? Well when they're not being reset by your system. That's a shame really. I had to replace my ps2 a while back, but it didn't do anything to my memory cards.
Yea I've been wanting to replace it just been waiting on my money. I got a new ps2 cuz my dad sold my last 1. So my memory cards got re-formatted. =(
I just wrapped up First Departure on my PSP, and I now can understand a little more about the stuff I heard happens in TTEOT. I'm more open to playing this title, but I still will put it last on my Star Ocean games to play list.

You don;t have to really play any of them in any order you know? But i'm guessing if you play in the correct order chronologically, thinks make more sense.
